New to keto diet, looking for friends.

Hello, I've been on mfp for a while now, I've lost over a hundred pounds since beginning but I still have quite a ways to go.
Even though I've been successful so far with simply eating under my tdee, I've decided that I would like to start a keto diet and stick with it for as long as I can. I'd love to get some friends on here that are also on keto and have some things to share such as what to stay away from and what's good. And even if you aren't on the diet you can add me. It's always nice to see people progress towards their goals!

Can i ask why you would want to alter your path mid way through? Especially with a diet that is so restrictive?2

@HellYeahItsKriss I like to give things a try. Might work out, might not. But I've read about several different diets and keto seemed like the least restrictive diet and had the best benefits. Of course everyone is different and it just might not work for me but I'd like to try. And really as long as the scale continues to go down then it's a success. But I've also read it helps with energy throughout the day and I would really enjoy that.1

PrGCougar, I'm sending you a request. Congrats on the impressive loss so far!
I've been doing keto for 5 weeks and have lost 16 lbs.
It's actually not restrictive in my opinion. The big restriction is sugar. Avoid the sugar! That comes in the form of bread and other obvious carbs. The amazing thing is that this is first way of eating I've tried that helps control my cravings and appetite. I plan my meals ahead, am rarely hungry, and can easily avoid bread and all treats. It's not even a struggle! It's just proper planning.1 -

Hi! Welcome! You can add me if you like! My diary is open to friends. I don't find keto restrictive at all! I eat more now than I did when I was trying to "diet." Yet still losing weight! The groups @baconslave included are wonderful sources of information. In the keto group, we have a monthly challenge where we weigh in weekly. Everyone is so supportive, even if you *gasp* gain! Feel free to jump in anytime! Again, welcome!0
