Had a really good day at the bank. I'm starting at my home branch tomorrow! I can't wait! I love so much about this bank and my branch. I think my two favorite things are the fact that the branch manager has the exact same personality as my best friend and my branch doesnt have a drive-thru!!!! I can't begin to tell you how much I hate being a new teller and having to deal with a drive-thru. It's really hard to get people to send in their ID's when they are out in a car. AND! I dont have to stand the whole day. I am also technically a CSR which means I can open accounts and things(I haven't learned that yet) but it means that I get to sit behind a desk. I know most people things that that is just normal life. Well, it's never been the normal life for me since I graduated high school. It's going to be really nice!
I hope everyone is having a great night! The DH is demanding cuddle time. Lol7 -
@clicketykeys HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!4

Ha! I admit I did miss my drive through banks when living in Belgium. Also, the bank would close during the day, which was most inconvenient. And trying to cash a check from the U.S. was an effort on their part...they don't have checkbooks there, even for personal use, as in if I wanted to send someone a check as a birthday gift. Do y'all have checks?2 -

Now you know why so many americans are so overweight!! We definitely are a country of lazy people who don't like to even get out of a car! Did you know that on Ash Wednesday, there was even a church that had a "drive-thru" version where you could get ashes on your forehead! I even thought to myself how ridicious that was. I guess the minister would meet you at the car window, say a prayer, and put ashes on your forehead!4 -

I absolutely LOVE reading your posts!! You are so excited about your new job, your hubby, etc. ..... makes my day! This bank is lucky to have found someone like you to work for them ..... as that happiness will wear off on others. So proud of you, and so happy for you!4 -
JFT, Tues
1. log all food And bought marshmallows to make my sons favorite - rice krispies treats. I think I ate half the bag .... now I have to go buy another bag
2. concentrate on 8+glasses of water. 2 glasses with each meal, and 2 between meals and evening. (thanks @cschmitz110515 for that suggestion)
3. go to the gym
4. clean house!!
5. get toys down from attic
6. help hubby with shipping tomorrow
7. work on binding for my quilt (YAH!!) Almost done!
8. get back on here - be accountable!
Didn't get nearly what I needed to today, so have to hustle tomorrow, as our son will be here early thursday morning.
But, hubby and I spent 5 HOURS putting together a plastic model of a car engine for our grandson for his birthday . FIVE HOURS!!!!!!! We both had to finally have a glass of wine, and had to take some pieces apart because we did it wrong LOL!!! And this kit says it is meant for ages 8+!!!!! We were going to work on it with our grandson, but since they will only be here for 1.5 days, we wanted it done for him.It is cute -- it lights up, the pistons go up and down, the fan moves.... I know he will like it. And we will have to tell our son he owes us -- now he doesn't have to build it! But we could not believe how complicated it was .... and they think a 8 year old could build this!! Well..... I guess we are getting old LOL!! As frustrated as hubby got ... when we finally finished it ... we both had a good laugh, realizing that yes, we are getting old!
JFT, Wed
1. log all food
2. go to the gym, as I probably won't get there again till monday
3. concentrate on water

@joan6630 I'm so glad that I can brighten your day! It's funny because if you had known about 5 years ago(before I met the DH coincidentally) you would have never recognized me. But I am a believer that if I can get a smile from one person or one person can share my enthusiasm then I have done my work for the day. I am a big believer in happiness and joy breeds happiness and joy. Plus I'm just a happy person. Lol.
@slittlemeister Good for you getting to the gym early! That's an awesome way to start the day. Have fun with your friend! Enjoy your time together!6 -

1. Log all food Even the trail mix that I dove into last night. Lol. Got to be accountable!
2. 64oz water Had to pretty much chug the last bottle but I got it!
3. Up by 630 7. Couldn't get myself up. Lol
4. Morning stuff Spent the time before work with the DH
5. DH up @ 7 We both did but we had a good coffee/tea time
6. Prep/Log lunches Done. It is so much easier when the food is already made and packaged. Lol
7. Yoga I HAVE to get this done! Even if it's just for 10 minutes!
8. Quiet time The DH and I getting up at 7 completely screwed my morning all up. Lol
9. Budget list
10. Work 945-615 Learned a lot more new things so it is probably going to take a while to stop having to ask for double checks and things.
11. Dinner/Dishes / Left the pan in the sink that I completely forgot about! Lol
12. Pens game/DH time / Pens had a pretty terrible game but the DH and I had a quiet evening.
13. Bed by 1030 11:15 I think
The DH was in a funk last night. Not sure why. I think he was probably just bored. I ended up going to bed and as I'm between that place of waking and sleeping I hear a shout of celebration from the other room. A new video game just came out two days ago that the DH really wants. Two of his best friends have it and he was watching them play the night before last. We had been talking about it around dinner time. I told him that he was going to need to wait before we can get it because it's $60! Well, he comes storming into the bedroom to show me a message on his phone. It was an alert fro XBox that one of his best friends bought him a copy and it's ready to download to his console. Now, this is a big deal in and of itself. It's an even bigger deal because of my DH's past. After leaving a hard life path when he met me, he lost all of his friends. He didnt really get any more until about 2 years ago. His old friends were all takers and never givers. So that fact that a friend bought him something so expensive has completely blown his mind! Lol. It took him out of his funk right quick! This friend is amazing. I know him as well. So thank the Lord for good friends! Lol. I dont know why I felt the need to share that story, but for some reason, I had to. I hope that maybe it helps someone.
Had a good evening myself though. Fell asleep while cuddling with the DH. It was nice. While the DH was in his funk I ended up craving chocolate so I had a couple of handfuls of trail mix. Lol. Totally not in my diet but it was yummy! Lol
Onward!

4. Finish three orders from my shop

This job would work well for him, but if he doesn't get it, we'll keep looking.)

Hahaha! Well, the sign is a reminder...I need to post it a bit earlier for y'all so you aren't having to chug copious amounts of water!!! Tomorrow is another day...4 -
It's midday, and getting ready to walk dog in few minutes. No time to read everyone's posts, I'll look later. Want to get my JFT down...
Recap T 3/27 ~ Last work day for me until next week Wed.
1) Rest day / move hourly / stairs breaks at work = Rest day / Fitbit 10,848 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 & 42 floors... lots of trips to basement in evening (see #3)
2) Leftovers for lunch & supper / net calories green / monitor usual = Not so great, but not sure about exercise calories (see #3), especially since daily weigh-in this a.m. was down. Net calories, sodium & sugar red (binged a bit on Brookside dark chocolate pomegranate after supper ~ ack!), protein good, fiber little low & 15c water.
3) Evening: make Kodiak Cakes muffins / wash dishes / cont. to-do list = Change in plans... really felt like a slug after work, just took things easy (& lazy) for a while. Then re-energized & did lots of decluttering / cleaning / logged 1 hr light cleaning as exercise.
4) Unplug 9:30 / floss / retainers / bed & TV off 11:00 = Absolute fail x4. On the bright side, got lots done around house & was awake when hubby got home from work at 12:30 a.m. So I still consider this a win!
JFT W 3/28 ~ vacation day at home
1) Grocery shopping for Easter / upcoming week = done
2) Get dinnerware, serving dishes & tablescape materials for Easter out of hutch = done
3) Drink > 12c water
4) Making root veggie beef stew for dinner / net calories green / monitor usual
5) Walk dog on gorgeous sunny day
6) More progress on to-do lists (I have 3 separate lists for cleaning, food & misc Easter prep)
7) Don't want to screw up sleeping pattern too much while off work, so: unplug 10:00 / floss / retainers / bed & TV off 11:00
Have a great day, everyone!3 -
Nice one! It’s always good when you do it all isn’t it!
Tryfor the same again tomorrow and you’ll feel even better5 -

Something of a disastrous end to today. Parents evening went well but I didn’t sleep well last night (only 4 hours) so have battled all day. Once I got home after 12 straight hours of work, tiredness plus “it’s nearly the end of term and parents evening is over” IDGAF-ness gave way to a bit of a binge.
I’ve been through a bit of sadness and anger at myself for not staying strong and am now calm. Maintenance will have to involve some ups and downs and I can’t be perfect all the time. So I’m here and will carry on as normal. Actually didn’t put a calorie goal on for today so it looks misleadingly positive...
Wednesday goals
- exercise before kids get up ✅
- 3ltr+ water ✅
- 15k steps ✅
- No additional snacking during planning time (drink the water!!) ✅
- Try and move during planning time (aim for the 250 steps per hour) not quite 11/14 hours
- try and squeeze in a bit of kitten prep at school ✅
- Grocery shopping and errands straight after work ✅
- Early night
JFT Thursday
- back on track (no stressing over what is done)
- Exercise before kids get up
- stay within calorie goal
- 15k + steps
- 3ltr+ water
- Remember to bring assessment folder home for holidays
- Print for first week back
- Home on time - no staying late
- Early night
Night all x5 -
Had an absolutely AMAZING day at work! Sorry, I didnt post while on break. I ended up walking to the library to drop off/pick up holds and walked to the 7/11 on the corner to pick up milk for the coffee that my awesome new head teller bought me from the cafe 3 doors down. Lol. I seriously love it here!
A bit of bad news, however. The manager that reminds me of my best friend and who is a totally awesome person is leaving banking in a month! I'm really sad. She only came to the decision on Monday. I'm believing that we are going to get another GREAT manager! I dont know if it will be an outside hire or an internal promotion. So we'll see.
Now for more awesome news! All my work was spot on and my numbers were perfect! It helps that my position allows me certain freedoms(reversing transactions, overriding cash amounts, etc). It makes life SIGNIFICANTLY easier. And I like the system they use a WHOLE lot better than my previous bank! I swear everything was preordained for me to get here and for me to absolutely love it!
Anyway, dinner has been cooked, eaten, and cleaned up. Now I am going to spend the evening listening to music and finishing the budget for next month. Lol.7 -
