I'm enjoying working with her though so it's rewarding! (And tomorrow we're having a belated Christmas lunch and are planning to spend all afternoon in the pub, so....)5

Day 6:Yesterday I accomplished all goals...and surpassed my 5.5 cup water goal by 2 whopping cups! Yea for me!
Personal success: My spirits are still high. In fact, last night my husband commented on the joy he has seen coming from me the last week. It's not my birthday, didn't win a lottery, no vacation plans...so it just must be the fact that I feel so good about becoming healthy. (or maybe it was the 2 extra cups of water I drank!)
Something I learned: I am here on this earth for a finite number of days. When I have a deadline to meet I am focused. I stay on task. I prioritize. I am intentional. I gather people around me who will help me meet the deadline. I do not allow distractions to tear me away from getting the job done. If I slack off one day, I double up the next and get right back on task. I have an ultimate deadline. And when I reach it I want, as far as it depends on me, to do so in the best physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual condition possible. And at my age: Time's a tickin' faster and faster!

Recap JFT 11/1:
Get up early (haha see above!) and workout:
At least 2 litres of water -
At least 15,000 steps - 18000+ today
Stay within calorie goal -
Early night in bed now ridiculously early!
Goals for tomorrow (Friday):
Weekends (especially Friday nights) are always a bit dangerous for me as tiredness and relief combine to create a powerful *kitten* it! mentality. Sometimes I justify it as”cheat meals/days” whatever but ultimately I always regret it and end up having to restrict to make up for it and so the cycle goes. Anyone else feel the same??
So:
- Weigh in - target maintain @ 116-118
- Wake up early and work out before kids up
- Stay within calorie goals. Use up some exercise cals today on one planned treat (single choc bar maybe?)
- 15000 steps at least
- 2 litres water at least
- Clean house and laundry after work so weekend can be more relaxing
- Chase hospital referral for daughter
- Flowers for friend

Yesterday was successful!!
However today is a different story
Life has caught up with me and I just got completely overwhelmed today!! With everything going on, the last thing I needed were this goofy pregnancy hormones getting in my way. I spent the morning reworking our budget, reviewing my required school work and planning for the baby. Needless to say.......it was too much! Therefore I plan to take today as my Rest Day and relax the remainder of the day. I did accomplish some important tasks today but exercising is not going to happen today.8 -
My phone has ✔ and ❌ in Emoji's and MFP allows them to be used, Lol! I guess I just lucked out.3 -
THURSDAY JFT RECORD
1. stick to calorie goal (think I did this but big restaurant meal and difficult to calculate calories accurately)
2. Do 10 mins yoga (did 5 mins but I’m happy with that given limited space and time in my hotel room)
3. Walk to meetings, hotel and restaurant - no public transport! - walked for at least 3 & 1/2 hours.
RIDAY JFT GOALS
1. Stay within maintenance calories
2. Do 10 mins yoga
3. Have fun with my wonderful and ridiculous friends
Friday and Saturday are going to be hard to control things given I’m staying with friends and they’ll be eating/drinking lots and I will want to join in... will look to restrict a little but also to have fun and relax a little for a couple of days.8 -

I just selected the emojis in someone else's post and used copy and paste.3 -

If it makes you feel better, exercise didn't happen for me either. Signed up for a master gardeners' class, came home with a very large textbook and a homework assignment---hmmm; this might be more than I bargained for. I already paid for the class, so I guess I'm in. Decided I had better start in on it, and exercise tomorrow!

Thurs 1/11
1. go to the gym
2. log ALL food One of my worse nites. We ate lunch at a hamburger place, so I did so good for dinner -- a salad and a yogurt. My calories were around 1300. But .... I made the mistake of going to Walgreens -- xmas candy was all so sale. Why do I do this Just because Hersheys Kisses are only $1.00 for the bag .... well .... had my worse binge of the year. I believe I ate almost the entire bag. I am so mad at myself. But ..... I have to get on here and be accountable, and remember this nite. Tomorrow will be a new day.
3. drink water
4. be mindful of what I eat See #2
5. wait 10 minutes before grabbing something to eat that is not planned. Do something to distract myself .... like cleaning the sock drawer See #2
6. get back on here tomorrow ... be accountable
After a nite of terrible old, binging tonite, I will start fresh again tomorrow, and try not to beat myself up. This is why I have trouble losing weight .... old habits of either being perfect or not .... either on a diet or not ..... sticking with a plan ... or going completely off it (like I did tonite).
So starting fresh again tomorrow
JFT, FRIDAY
1. throw out the rest of the candy I bought tonite before I eat it, and ruin another day
2. ice out tonite, so no gym tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow evening I can go
3. drink water
4. give myself credit for what I did do ...... don't let the guilt lead to another bad day
5. sew
6. drink water water water water!
7. get back on here no matter what. Don't quit7 -
JFT Thursday
1. Water
2. Bake bread
3. Floors
4. Laundry
5. Chiropractor
6. Studio time
7. Brush and floss
8. Bed by 10:30
YES I'm so happy I managed all of my list today! I really wasn't sure it was doable without wearing myself out.
JFT Friday
1. Water
2. Studio time (beginning quilting the borders!)
3. Laundry
4. Pool
5. Subway for dinner
6. Brush and floss
7. Bed by 10:307 -
Good to read about many people's successes, and I wish those who are struggling a better day tomorrow.
its always the sweet thing after dinner that sets me back. i overdo it and go over the calories by 2-300 in 2 minutes time.... Aaaargh.
I did drink more water today.
I walk 1 h4- 90 mins a day with my dog but doc says that only cardio will really help
it's so frustrating.
but acknowledging small improvements is critical.
so I acknowledge I haven't binged in nearly a week.
what does staying green mean- i don't eat any meat but i think it's likely something else..
just for tomorrow
-drink lots of water
-stay under 1300 calories
-no sweets - try a fruit
- celery celery!
- think more positively.
wishing everyone well

@ joan6630 Sorry about your Hershey's Kisses slip up - it happens to all of us though, don't beat yourself up about it! (Remember what the Beck diet solution says about not criticising yourself and giving yourself credit instead!)
Could you try working out what thoughts were going through your mind and then create a Response Card with a more helpful thought to replace them? Then add that into your Response Card reading?7 -

Our Tesco has done this, a 900g box of Quality Street (lol I’m wondering if you know wtf I’m talking about) is normally around a £5. And all their surplus stock they’re now selling at 1.25 and everyone’s buying them!!
It’s so bad! People go crazy for mad bargains like that.
And also, don’t kick yourself, I’ve had 3 McDonalds this week.. 3!!! Pregnant or not. That is not okay. Especially as one meal is a about 1200 cals.
You need to remember how you feel. So next time you see the offers, think back to this post and how you felt after you ate all the Hershey’s. You felt like €rap right? So just remember, “if I buy these, I’m going to feel like crap after” and then ask yourself “do I want to feel like crap? Or do I want to feel good that I made a positive decision”
It will take you less than a minute to think this in the shop.
Scrutinise every food decision in the shop and make sure it’s actually right for you. I used to mindlessly pick things up, but when I was best on track I would read all the calorie information and figure out if it would be good or bad for my calorie intake.
DO buy yourself treats, make a special trip just to get yourself treats.. BUT HEALTHY ONES!
Remember I used to buy chocolate and biscuits for my OH and kids.. and then I was like “right, now to buy my treats” that way I had already resigned to the fact that the choc and biscuits were not mine and I picked up healthier things like crackers and stuff.
Also, what does your husband say?! Can you not ask him to stop you!!!
I’ve asked my partner for help before and he doesn’t take it off me he just asks if it will work into my calories or if I want something else6 -
@joan6630 I really feel for you. Horrible moment. We’ve all done it. Just get going again. For me I’m finding arranging things so I can have some chocolate/treat most days is working for me so I (mostly) don’t have the same desperate need to binge. But I then sit down and take a moment to really enjoy the treat- often with a cup of tea or coffee, put music on/turn tv off etc which also helps to slow the whole process down so I focus on enjoying it. Not easy though and I don’t always do it!!!6

Yesterday was my eldests birthday! She’s now a very lovely 4 year old!
As she still has CP which I’m not sure is past it’s contagious stage we just took her out to the town centre. Bought her some toys and took her for a coffee and a McDonald’s as a treat! We then came back and played games and had cake.
She was still up at midnight! Sneakily playing in her room!
But she said she had a good day and that’s all that matters. Me and my OH however we completely exhausted from the day lol!
I have a lot of cleaning to do today!5 -
Met all goals yesterday except didn't go to bad art night due to schedule change.
JFT 1/12:
1. Log all food and stay under calorie goal
2. Exercise 45-50 minutes (brave going out in the freezing rain/snow)
3. Continue to drink lots of water throughout the day
4. Keep my healthy snacks at hand so that I don't get too hungry and overeat
Happy Friday!6 -
I walk 1 h4- 90 mins a day with my dog but doc says that only cardio will really help
it's so frustrating.
what does staying green mean- i don't eat any meat but i think it's likely something else..
Is your doctor saying that walking isn't cardio? I always thought it was. I'd say walking your dog for that amount of time each day is great!!
Staying in the "green" means when logging your food, the totals at the bottom stay green (they go to red if you go over the daily goal limits). Each day I try to stay in the green with calories, so if I don't go over my daily calorie limit, then I've accomplished that.
Hope that helps! :-)5
