Victoria's Secret Models: Sexy or too skinny?
Replies

Makes me wonder how those models must feel because it's as if they're having every single flaw pointed out to them all the time. :huh:0

Funny as I am reading this thread I get an email from VS
Women are sexy period.0 -
It depends. I think women look sexier with some curves to them.0

They are faux real!!!!!!!!0

They are faux real!!!!!!!!
Nothing like sum photoshop........
They are beautiful, all women are beautiful, but these are mostly photoshopped......0 -
Sexy, definitely not too skinny.0

Sexy or skinny aside Victoria's Secret models always come off as cold, angular and untouchable to me. Like they would prefer you didn't hug them so close or show any passion because it might wrinkle fabric, smear make up or add streaks to their self tanner. The Fredericks of Hollywood girls seem much more fun.0

Women are sexy period.
^^^ 100% This!!!0 -
They look pretty happy in real life too. Isn't that what matters?

I dont think they are too skinny and i know the photos are terribly photoshopped.0

They are far too skinny and photoshopped. Also, they do some very unhealthy things to look like that for shoots like starvation diets and dehydration in the days leading up to it. Nothing sexy about them imo as they're mostly fake.0

The last thing I'm going to do is judge another woman's body.

You can be skinny and sexy. Body shaming is never cool.0 -

they are definitely not too skinny. they look amazing and saying anything else is just ridiculous.
and even if they do dehydrate before a shoot so what? there are plenty of other professions that do that before a competition as well. bodybuilders, wrestlers, boxers, MMA fighters. ill take their health over just about anyone else.0 -

they feel like millionaires. millionaires that work the equivalent of 2 months a year.0 -
I think they look perfect from a quick google. As to whether they're sexy or not - isn't sexy more a mindset than a look?0

I feel like mostly we are commenting about the "art" behind photo-shopping, it is creative after all so i guess its art....
Photo-shoppers are great graphic designers but they will keep Eating Disorder clinic's busy for years to come.0 -
Interesting - now that I can see the before and after, I prefer the before! If she were naturally after, then fine but as it's a 'shop, I'd be happy with the before.0 -
Too skinny for what? Depends on how skinny they want to be, and sexy is a lot more than a shape.0

That's my opinion, I never asked you to like it nor do I care. They are not attractive, in fact I find many of them quite unattractive. Implying that wrestlers, mma fighters and boxers do it is silly. They eat lots of calories and drink lots of water to fuel themselves and stay hydrated through their competitions. As for bodybuilders, ultra low body fat is not healthy, attractive or sustainable.0 -
Oh my gosh, that is so true!! I love their miraculous bra, but that back strap makes my back look like busted biscuits, even when I was in shape. You can suck in a gut but you can't suck in back fat. I found myself constantly readjusting that strap. I wish they made more bras with a bigger band width, and I wish back fat didn't exist.
@dd00252 Try the "Intimacy" store for bras, there is one at Miami at Aventura. Expensive$80-145 but the best bras, sexy, great support, no plastic clasps like VS.0 -

They look great in pictures. In life, they're very young and slight. I work in NYC near modeling agencies and see the girls come and go often, I think many of the real women walking around are much more attractive in true desirability. Strength is sexy in person.
I like you. :bigsmile:0 -

DavPaul took the words right out of my mouth. Models that make that kind of money are paid to have their flaws pointed out to them, and it's a conscious choice they made to pursue that career.0 -

I know what weight cutting is, I wrestled throughout all of my school career but that doesn't make it healthy or attractive.0 -
I'd say the seasoned VS models are sexy. Slightly thin, but nothing too thin. However, my most recent catalog featuring the 'Pink' line of VS uses shockingly thin models; which is sad because that line is geared more toward teens, and some of the newer models are so thin it's actually painful to look at.0

you really have no idea what you are talking about. i wonder what happened in your life that gave you such a distorted sense of reality that you think they are unattractive? i can understand if they are not your ideal but unattractive? lol@that.0 -
As soon as one admits that the photos are significantly 'Shopped, then, in some sense, they (the photos) don't even matter. Almost anyone can be made to look super sexy by someone who is good enough at Photoshop . . .
That being said, I have seen a few in real life, and they are almost uniformly (there was one exception) way too skinny, at least for me. I personally like women to look like women, not 10 year old boys . . .0 -

ah you were a wrestler. that explains a lot.0 -
I think they look great. I liked them on facebook and whenever they post an ad, there are a TON of people commenting about how they are too skinny and need to eat cheeseburgers. They don't say anything about the products! And these people are probably just jealous. I'm SO sick of it!0

Since "attractiveness" is a completely subjective metric, I don't see how one person can say that another person is wrong; you might as well say "You don't like the color blue, then you are an idiot" . . .0
