What is a food you have for some reason avoided since childhood? Have you tried it as an adult and liked it?

I have always been a 'try a little' person1

Ham...not for religious reasons, but because it looks like old people's gums when they remove their dentures.
Olives...although I will occasionally eat tapinade
Mushrooms...although I will eat mushroom soup as long as it doesn't have big chunks of mushroom in it. I will also eat mushrooms in chicken marsala (but only a few)
I wouldn't touch beets as a child (must have been scarred by a bad borscht experience)...but discovered I loved them as an adult
I saw someone on line at the deli the other day order head cheese. I'd never seen anyone order it before and assumed they had the same Boar's Head loaf behind the counter since 1972.
I never ate brussels sprouts as a child...mainly because my mother did not like them, so she never made them. Tried them as an adult and they are now one of my favorite vegetables.3 -
Liver. I have handled it raw. I have not tried cooking and eating it. It is gross.
Lobster, shrimp, clams. Have not wanted to try these things. My dad had a seafood allergy so we did not have it at home.

I've haven't eaten meat since I was about 12. Haven't tried it as an adult. No desire to
As a kid I hated Kraft Dinner (mac & cheese), as an adult I crave it but don't indulge. Random...I used to make the best homemade "mac" and cheese (I didn't use macaroni because for some bizarre reason I hate that pasta shape)...I have nostalgic feelings for it1 -

Scalloped potatoes. My mom made this "fancy dish" when I was sick as a kid and I barfed. Even the name sounds gross still 30 yrs later. I like all other potato dishes.

I remember dipping dots. Dots of sugar on paper, right? When my cousin, Debbie Sue, was little she was caught eating bird poop off the fence. She thought they were dipping dots. She is 64 now, but, to this day, we still call her Birdie Sue.
Me and Birdie Sue. Around 1957.
