You earned that muscle, and dieting down a few pounds just to hit a number for the number's sake doesn't seem worth it to me. Trust the clothes more than the scale!
This makes me feel so good! Thanks CoachJen! I do think I'm going to settle for five of those 10 pounds -- I'm at 130 and if I can get back to 125, I will gladly say I'm no longer trying to lose weight. And yeah, those muscles feel GREAT! Thanks for the reality check!!2 -

I keep losing the same two pounds! Thank goodness the weather has turned -- there is bike-riding to do! End of semester (I teach at a community college) means lots of stress and deadlines though -- it can go one of two ways -- so busy I don't eat, or so stressed I do nothing but eat... bought some dark chocolate just in case it's the latter... lol!

@psychod787 why not do both? I am looking forward to October when I can apply to the registry. But I plan to always hangout on MFP for the support, accountability and ways to stay healthy.

20th April: 117.5lbs
27th April: 117.5lbs
Successes of the week: Happy to be back at work. The busier my brain, the less time it has to fret. Aside from oversleeping this morning and missing #3 of this week's upper body, really good strength workouts. Added wrist weights to some dumbbell lifts, so progress is being made. Getting veins on my forearms, but not really anywhere else. Saggy skin and extra fat may always hide those.
Challenges of the week: Not enough sleep and still food-step obsessed, and had a mini binge last night. Still broke, etc, but trying to stay positive.

Successes/struggles of the week: My gosh - how the highs and lows of a week can impact eating... preaching to the choir, right?
Got some ridiculously good career news so celebrated randomly on a Wednesday night - totally unplanned, so totally off the rails with calories...
Then the next day, a very annoying and slightly disappointing situation happened - sent me over the rails for the opposite reason.... and off to the local bakery to sulk like a little kid.
Thus, I sit back and go “damn it - scale. I hate you.” Though I know it’s all my doing... chin up. Next week, aim for better.
Have a good week everyone!8 -

Success of the week:
I got exercise every day: walks or jog.
I tracked all food and stayed on program (WW)
Got some more paperwork and "spring cleaning" done.
Struggle: could get more exercise, be more active in general, less sedentary, Weight has not been where I'd like it to be. I feel better a few pounds lighter.1 -
My emotions and mood has had enormous effect on my eating and day to day activities...I can only hope that I can pull myself together and take control of my weight.
...And I lost my login streak which really annoyed me.
Anyway...
I’m going to list some positive factors that I can conjure up
- back on MFP.
- I’m not sure if I’m eating 100% mindfully. But I am trying to make better choices.
- I’ve got my fitbit back and will be trying to use it.
- Trying to keep busy.
- Trying to sleep better
Goal- to hit maintenance range before summer
I think emotions and mood must have a lot of effect on many of us. They often do for me. Are you doing CBT on your own or with a counsellor? How is tracking going?0 -

Successes/Struggles: i’ve had a hard time getting back on the 5:2 wagon after my illnesses and surgeries. I manage one good light day last week. I am determined to do to proper light fast days this week.
I went on a shopping spree at Goodwill. I spent about $60 and came home with a pairs of jeans, three dresses, five or six tops, one pair of pants for work and three belts. Most of the tops are for work, but the rest is just for me. (Well, I NEEDED the belts, honestly!). This is the most money I have spent of clothes in I can’t remember how long. And I’m actually actively looking forward to wearing the stuff!
The goodwill trip was an eye opener, too. I’m at a healthy weight but most pants do not fit, or if they do they look horrible. Probably nothing is ever going to change that - fat or healthy - they don’t ‘off the rack’ sell pants for my shape. I miss “baggy pants”. I really should go to the tailor and have a few pair of pants made, but I just blew my budget for clothes for all of 2018 and beyond, lol!

I am REALLY NEW to maintaining and kind of afraid. My pattern before is, I get ALMOST to my goal of 130, don't look or feel as "pretty" as I want (as in, still fluffy and floppy), determine to exercise more, get discouraged or get injured, stop logging, and regain that 15-20 pounds.
I have done this three times on MFP, and countless times life long. I hate to think how many times I have lost the same 8-25 pounds. I am determined to do it differently this time! Thanks for the maintainer's thread!

Average weight recorded from March: 128.8 (mostly on .5/week loss plan)
Week of...
1st April: 129.0 Last week: Av wt 128.4, one long walk, one short run, 3 days over 10K steps
8th April: 127.2 Last week: Av wt 127.8, one short run, some planks, and 6 days over 10K steps
15th April: Traveling; last week average 126.9, walking in Albuquerque 4 days over 10K steps
22nd April: Traveling; 6 days over 10K steps, best at Zion NP
29th April: 127.2 Last week: Av wt 127.6, only 2 days over 10K steps
Success/struggles of the week: Found that I could happily hike at elevation. Several days over 20,000 steps (I have a desk job friends, so don't see much of this!) Might have gained a half pound on vacation; easy to go "nuts" on trail mix when I am out on the trail.5 -
I've lost 51lbs by last November & have been trying to lose 8-10 more lbs but most days I am more satisfied eating at maintenance so I'd like to settle my mind & just maintain & stop stressing about it.I don't mind losing some more tho. I'm 5'4 & started at 196-198. I've been maintaining at 147-149

Success/struggles of the week: I’m thrilled to be back to the top of my maintenance range after hovering in the low 130s for a couple months. I am hoping to keep eating at a deficit until I reach 125 and then slowly start eating more. Honestly when I hit 134 and realized I would need to actively try to lose the weight, I struggled with sticking to it. The first 6 weeks of weight loss felt like a battle. But now the past 2 weeks have felt so easy. I don’t feel the urge to eat constantly like I did all the time in the beginning. And I feel really good about losing 7 lbs in 8-9 weeks.4 -
