They won't? If you tried to get shredded and it did not work, you ate too many cookies.4 -
But I waaaaaaaaants it.1

Nah I agree. I can't get shredded eating cookies but that's because I'm an azzhole around cookies.1
-
Nobody has to be shredded to the bone, that's not what I promote or my intent , but just eat a frggn apple or a banana instead8

Actually I'd rather eat the cookie. I don't have time for fruit carbs.2 -

If I've reached my micro and macronutrient goals for the day, it doesn't matter.7 -
That's strange math. 200 calories doesn't equal 200 calories?5

In terms of weight loss/gain, they are exactly the same. There are many days where I eat a banana and later a cookie.2 -

I'm talking about nutrient dense foods, 200kcal of cookies that are "empty calories" are not the same as 200kcal of NUTRIENT DENSE FOOD.
I know I'm SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSO CRAZYYYY11 -

Actually in terms of weight loss and gain they are. Calories and nutrition are not the same thing.7 -

In maintenance, if one is eating a varied diet and hitting their nutrition goals why is a cookie a problem? And why make a thread dictating to an entire board of people who are in maintenance what they should and shouldn't do?7 -
This just in 500kcals of cookies or baked starchy goddamn pastries or muffins ARE NOT THE SAME AS 500KCALS OF NUTRIENT FIBER RICH FRUItS SUCH as APPLES BANANAS, PEARS....I KNOW I MUST BEEEE SOOOOO CRAZY6

But why?4 -

If I want a cookie, I want a cookie. Eating around what I want before I break down and eat what I actually want would just mean that I ate more total calories.
I aim for 80% of my calories from nutrient-dense foods and 20% from treats at an average calorie level that supports a weight in the normal BMI range. That's a workable long-term weight maintenance plan for me.4 -
Yep, in terms of weight loss it doesn't matter.
When you're relatively lean, and getting leaner...cookies are harder, but still 200 calories are 200 calories.
When I'm cutting hard, no, I'm not going to eat a 200 calorie cookie. But that's because I won't get in my protein for the day, and won't be satiated.
