Eggs Everyday? Yay or Nay?

I love eggs and eat a lot of them. As long as I can change how I eat them, I could definitely eat them every day. My favourite is a toss up between over easy and frittata.1

Egg Beaters.
Regular eggs are high calorie (I mean, for what you get, IMO). Each large egg is between 70-90 calories depending on what source you believe. And yet they offer basically zero satiety for me. They're like eating air. Even something like a three-egg omelette with a load of veggies just has no real staying power. I'm hunger 30 minutes later.
I make an egg-beater breakfast burrito that comes in at 350 calories. Vegetarian sausage, low calorie cheese slice and some salsa with some egg beaters and a flour tortilla. Way more of a flavor packed meal and has far better satiety.
I love eggs. Don't get me wrong. But the calorie-to-satiety ratio is horrible for me.5 -
I love eggs, especially for breakfast, but I can't eat them every morning like I used to because of allergy. I'm not allergic to eggs themselves but they increase the histamine response so my reactions are heightened, and occasionally scary. I've had some allergy testing done but am waiting to do more. Hopefully, I can cut out whatever I'm reacting to and have eggs for breaky again.0

I used to buy the beaters too but you can save a lot of money. I eat one whole carton of egg whites at a time.2 -
The yolk is the best part of the egg IMO.8

I eat anywhere from 2-5 a day, everyday. I love eggs.1

It is good. But I prefer to split up my macros. If I eat the whites for lunch, I can get my fat from avocado or somewhere else.1 -
You can also just eat the egg whites...

That has always seemed incredibly wasteful to me. Especially in a house full of people who actually do eat eggs, like my wife and kids.
Egg Beaters are also way easier to deal with. No cracking of eggs, no siphoning off the yoke. Open and pour.

If the carton is more expensive I personally don't see it as wasteful. Plus side: you get to make ice cream/custard/hollandaise/mayo/pudding or whatever else yolks do from time to time at no extra cost. I wouldn't know, though, we don't have carton egg whites.2 -

I tried carton egg whites and I hated them. I, therefore, buy eggs and separate them myself. It really is no more wasteful throwing the yolks away as eating them. I was advised by my doctor to eat more egg whites because I need the protein. I normally just boil them and throw the yolks away. It does not bother me to eat the same thing everyday. Depending on what I have at home, I may add them to a salad or just add some chicken to them. I eat at least two egg whites a day.0 -
I’ve been eating an egg sandwich for breakfast almost every morning for several years now. Usually on an Ezekiel English muffin some veganaise and a few thin slices off a gourmet cheese. I might have a slice of turkey bacon on it or a couple turkey sausage links. This keeps my energy up and I love it with my black coffee. If I switch it up and eat oatmeal or cereal I don’t feel satisfied for long.1

Another vote for eggs!
I also have one in a sandwich most days for breakfast with a slice of ham and a slice of cheese. I also usually have one hard-boiled for afternoon tea. It helps me bridge the gap to dinner, and avoids the 5pm slump!2 -
I eat eggs nearly daily, great breakfast food for me as they help me stay full.1

I eat eggs every morning with a little bit of cheese and tomatillo salsa. I get the happiest most grass-fed field-trip taking Colin-named chicken eggs I can find.2

This video must be pretty outdated. Recent research shows that there is good and bad cholesterol and if you are a healthy adult eating 3 eggs a day or less pose no health risks at all5 -

I don't eat them very often, but when I do, I like to boil up a couple of eggs, eat one whole one, eat the white from the second one, then give my dog the yolk from the second one. I mostly just use them in baking. My parents have a bunch of free-range chickens that run around and eat bugs and garden scraps all day long (along with their chicken feed.) One of their favorite treats is watermelon. They go crazy for it. Their eggs are so tasty and the yolks are a bright golden yellow, almost orange. They make store bought eggs seem so boring.0

I love eggs, I could eat them cooked a different way for every meal. I do not eat a lot of animal products, so eggs are a great source of protein for me, especially when I want something lighter. I buy my eggs from the same local co-op where I buy my produce, I've been to the farm, they are certainly not being abused.1

My wife is on WW, eggs and fruit are free. She makes delicious pancakes with ... Eggs, mashed banana, and cinnamon! She's been having a few eggs a day since Jan 1 and shes doing great! (weight loss)1

I'm going to chime in with the opposing opinion. as a person with high cholesterol and heart disease in her family I usually eat eggs 1-3 days a week and I'd be nervous eating them everyday, even though I agree that they are a great high protein easy to prepare and eat food. However, I've never had my blood levels checked though so I'm just guessing here, so if you have a way to check your blood levels it might be worth it to see if its having a bad a effect on your cholesterol. Not trying to knock fat, I know there have been some studies that support eating eggs everyday, and some people aren't negatively affected by the cholesterol in eggs, but some people can be. I play it safe.5
