Just Give Me 10 Days - Round 37

Male 5'6"
Starting 331
Goal weight 190
Round 37 (my first go at this type of challenge -- might be what I need to break out of my weight loss funk)
SW(R37) 311.6 GW (R37) 308.0
4/8- 311.6
4/9- 309.2 (-2.4) (good Sunday for tracking, kept calories down for weigh in with my doctor this morning -- good motivation. Need to continue solid tracking and increasing cardio and weightlifting for the next nine days.)
4/10- 307.6 (-4.0) (likely this is water weight gain and now loss going into the start on 4/8 for this round -- trying to focus on being under 300 as my next mini goal on the long journey to one-derland. Long journey but day by day and 10 days by 10 days)
4/11- 306.0 (-5.6) (amazing what a little tracking and cardio can do. I'm sure this is still losing water weight from a run up to 311 but I'll take it for sure (or my scale is broken). Feels good to be in sight of 299. More tracking today.)
4/12- 307.4 (-4.2) (ok, this is when I normally get frustrated and throw my hands up with the scale showing an increase. However, there are five more days, I'm down 4.2 pounds in five days and I'm not going to quit because I know where quitting will take me. And I know the likely cause -- kid's choose dinner night last night -- they chose pizza. My kryptonite. Log it, track it, admit it and move on.)
4/13- 307.4 (-4.2) (a little stress at work and instead of eating the whole vending machine I had carrots and hummus. Not nearly as tasty as some chocolate but I was happy I didn't sabotage myself and then throw the day away. Four more days -- would like to get to 305.0 even. Some work to do but short term goal is in sight)
4/14- 308.0 (-3.6) (come on now, focus. not so much sabotage as caught up celebrating with too much food. Three more days to get this right and stay on track.)
4/15- 308.0 (-3.6) (this is like a 10 round fight -- new "me" versus old "me". Round 8 was a draw. "New" is going to win rounds 9 and 10 to win the 10 day challenge )
4/16- 308.0 (-3.6) (ok, plateau perhaps. Or I have hit my goal for this 10 day and my body has decided to wait until the next round.)
4/17- 307.4 (-4.2) (This feels great. A solid 10 days, some ups, some downs. But overall a good loss. I know it is the name of the challenge but the timing is great. Kept me focused and realizing I can carry on for just another couple of days instead of focusing on a year long weight loss plan. On to R38!!)5 -

Your diet can't possibly be that ridiculous if it's working for you. Lol
@tiabirdie56 - thank you - I have some bad habits that i plan for so some days are a little ridiculous.
Did you change it back already? I'm always curious about how others eat. I wouldn't mind feedback on my own either.
@lydlou02 - i thought it was changed - i will double check. please let me know if you take a peek

4/8 - 180.0 I always fluctuate a little bit, but as long as I'm fluctuating in this range, I'm happy!
4/9 - 179.4 Couldn't sleep, so I did my weigh in at 3:40 am
4/10 - 180.0 I'm fighting off a cold, and I tend to overeat comfort food (aka junk) when I'm sick. I'm really trying not to go down that path this time around. I was about 170 cals over yesterday, which I'm okay with. Also ate way too much sodium (chicken noodle soup) so feel bloated today. Just trying to fight off this cold because I don't want to use my PTO on sick days!
4/11 - 179.4 Still not feeling great--might be the seasonal allergies I was recently diagnosed with, ugh. I haven't exercised for a couple of days but I will be going to my second pilates class tonight after work.
4/12 - 179.4 Holding steady. I really feel like whatever cold or sickness I have been fighting off is winning today. Stuffy head and no energy. I feel really good about doing Pilates last night and I have already planned for a somewhat healthy lunch option (chicken and rice soup) to fend off the comfort eating I might want to do.
4/13 - 180.0 Meh. Home sick today. The sickness won. I'm just trying not to eat the piles of carbs that sound so good to me when I'm sick.
4/14 - 178.4 Um, what? I love it but don't expect it to stick around! I gave in to the comfort food cravings yesterday and ate way over my calorie allotment in ice cream. Starting to feel better today, finally.
4/15 - 178.0 Wow, two days in a row! I'm finally starting to feel back to normal so I'm going to try not to mess this up!
4/16 - 179.0 Okay, not surprising. I took my measurements today and I've lost about 1 1/2 inches from my waist and hips in the last couple of months. Booyeah!
4/17 - 179.0 Crushed my goal for this round! I think I'm going to take the next round off; my TOM is coming up and I don't want to obsess over weighing in every day. I'll probably be back for Round 39!5 -

Starting weight: 193 pounds July 2016
Lowest weight: 135.4 pounds March 2018
Current weight: around 145?
Goal weight: 135-137
Goal for this Round: get back to gym; start logging and eat at deficit
End of Round Weights R11: 143.4 (7/31/17); R12: 142.5 (8/10/17); R13: 140.4 (8/20/17); R14: 138.6 (8/30/17)
No consistent tracking R15 to R26; R27: 144.8 (1/07/17); R28 143.5 (1/17/18); R29: 142.2 (1/27/18);
R30 150.1 (2/6/18); R31 141.6 (2/15/18); R32: 140.0 (2/26/18); R33: 146.8 (3/8/18); R34 135.4 (3/18/18); R35 138.8 (3/25/18); R36 Vacation
4/8 no weigh in; tracked but over on calories
4/9 144.4 (6 pound gain since last weigh in)
4/10 eeeekk!
4/11 Noooo!
4/12 what am I doing? Go away Easter candy!
4/13 home sick
4/14 Finally back to gym! It's been like 3 weeks! Back to weighing tomorrow!
4/15 Under calories! Went to Body Pump! Baby steps. Forgot to weigh (out of the habit) when I woke up.
4/16 60 min elliptical. Under calories. Still did not weigh in.
4/17 140.7 (o.k. I'm ok with this number.)
This round will be working back to achieve daily logging, eating at deficit to lose vacation gain, and returning to regular exercise. I have not weighed myself since March 25th and feel as if I have gained 15 pounds. I hope that I will get my courage up to step on the scale tomorrow morning, but if I don't, I will start to log, exercise, and eat at a deficit. Our vacation was amazing, and I knew I would gain this weight. It has been hard getting back to the kind of eating that I need to stay under 140 pounds. I will start full force tomorrow.5 -
4/8: 142.6, Lord I sure could use A LOT of motivation. Fell down the rabbit hole in the summer of 2016. No excuses because I have little patience for them. 20 months and 20 lbs later I feel exhausted and disappointed.
4/9: 143.6, gotta love that beer and restaurant backlash. Didn’t have enough calories today, under 1000. My only indulgence was 1 glass of wine. Got busy and suddenly it’s 8:00
4/10: 140.8, Buh Bye water weight. Today was a struggle to consume enough real food calories. I’ve been overly busy at work and home and I’m making a herculean effort to avoid processed frankin-food and the “Mile High pie” my coworker brought in to share with us. I wanted to shake her and ask “have you any idea how difficult it is to stay on track with your amazing looking pie in the break room?” Gold plated problems. Le sigh…
4/11: 138.8, this is unexpected. Should return to normal by tomorrow. In the meantime I’ll enjoy the moment.
4/12: 139.4, Yesterday was a good food day. On target with romaine, tomato, 4 oz salmon salad, 8 oz tomato and a whole wheat wrap with avocado and home made salsa for lunch. Dinner as 3 oz of ham, steamed broccoli, thin sliced 21 grain bread (60 calories of bready-goodness) and 6 oz of red wine. It was a poopy day at work, but we passed state inspection. Today's goal - no wine , more water (I've been way below my norm), 80-90% unprocessed foods (exceptions - a whole wheat wrap, a thin slice of bread, store bought condiments and juices)
4/13: 137.4, I’m liking this number! Yesterday I enjoyed the same lunch. Dinner was Home made white bean, ham, and veggie soup, steamed broccoli, and toasted 21 grain thin slice of bread with 44g of avocado. I met my daily goal, too.
4/14: 137.6, On target with my calories and macros. I’m very happy with my progress and feel blessed to be sharing this journey with all of you.
4/15: 136.8, On target Monday through yesterday with deficit and limited alcohol consumption. Today is my free day so
4/16: 137.8, (yesterday) free day was really good, calorically. Macros were heavy on the carbohydrates and too light on protein, but that’s to purpose if the free day. To break the rut and keep the body guessing.
4/17: 137.4, On target yesterday with food and macros. Still low on water. I avoid it when I'm cold and drinking hot water makes my mouth feel dehydrated. Weird, I know.
Donated 5.2 lbs in this challenge. Woo Hoo!! Let’s do it, again!6 -

4/8 (Sunday) - 212.4
4/9 (Monday) - 211.6 (209lbs 3 hours later? This was not a fluke. I weighed myself 2 more times afterwards.)
4/10 (Tuesday) - 211.4 - Ahh, but today.... whatever. Keep calm and keto on? Yep. It has been almost 3 weeks since I've had a full gallon of water or close to it each day. I know that is the culprit. I usually have no problem drinking water and can easily drink a gallon a day, but I also occasionally have a brief period of not being able to drink past 60 to 64 ounces in a day. Don't know what that is about.
4/11 (Wednesday) - 210 - Apparently, the water within me loves to tease. This morning 4 different weigh ins, 1 minute apart, my readings were, 203 (yeah, that was first, I had to laugh), 206, 210 and 210.4. so, I averaged them and came up with 207.4. That could be my weight,
4/12 (Thursday) - 210.6 - Smh
4/13 (Friday) - 210 -
4/14 (Saturday) - 210- I don't know what my weight was this morning, didn't weigh. Feeling somewhat under the weather today, so resting and trying to get myself together before evening. My 4 grands are coming this evening, and all of them will want my undivided attention, individually, lol. I can't wait to see them. I love them so much. I'll be worn out tomorrow.
4/15 (Sunday) - 208.6 - Mmm I don't know if that's true. I weighed on a different scale this morning. We shall see.
4/16 (Monday) - 208.2 - My scale
4/17 (Tuesday) - 206.4 - I weighed several times to be convinced of this. A WHOPPING 5.6lb loss this round!

4/8 139.7 I'm super happy I finally broke 140 this morning. I'm enjoying my fasting routine but slipped up with self control a couple of days last week. Today I get to eat from 10 am to 8 pm. Then I'll start another fasting phase. I'm starting to see some weight loss changes in my body.
4/9 141.9 I ate a lot of carbs yesterday so I'm not surprised to see this gain. Have to be better about watching what I eat today. I can only have lunch and dinner today. Lunch is 450 cal so I can have somewhat of a decent dinner later and still be under my calorie limit today.
4/10 141.5 I'm down a little but still not happy about my weight this week.
4/11 141.2 I'm steadily lossing a little. I'm craving sweets bad recently.
4/12 141.4 back up a little today. We ended up having dinner at a friend's so I think I over ate just a bit. I need to figure something out so I can loss the weight I need before the wedding.
4/13 139.6 I don't know why I dropped almost 2 pounds in a day but I'm so happy I did. I'm hoping I'll stay out of the 140's for good now.
4/14 139.3 I'm glad to see I'm getting closer to my goal.
4/15 140.0 I over ate at my uncle's b day party so I'm not surprised to see this.
4/16 140.3 I am bloated today thanks mother nature. I went on a 4 mile run/walk yesterday and it felt great. Maybe I'll start running consistently again.
4/17 141.2 ugh I'm pretty frustrated with my weight recently. Yesterday I signed up for my first marathon to help motivate me. I'm disappointed that I gained back what I had lost.7 -

3/31 Walked in Badger State Brewing 10K / goal <1:35 / weather forecast rain/snow mix ~ yippee ~ We got everything the weatherman predicted: snowed like crazy at start, then rained, then VERY windy. Race had 160 no-shows. I tried not to think of how squishy my shoes & socks became, and didn't feel cold until the finish, when I realized my gloves & outer clothes were soaking wet. Very happy with my time of 1:30:28.82 ~ that's average pace of 14:35 ~ walking! Fitbit 23,142 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 & 39 floors.
04/01: 154.0 Easter Sunday ~ not logging food or adult beverages / enjoying church & family at our house for dinner ~ have a blessed Easter!

04/04: 155.0 PTO day at home / too much Easter candy. Spring snowstorm & shoveled 4" wet, heavy snow for 1hr ~ that was a real workout! Fitbit 10,812 steps, 250+ steps 7/14 & 47 floors.
04/05: 155.5 Not surprised ~ ate Easter candy and *ahem* retaining some waste. Net calories, sugar & sodium red, fiber & protein both little low & 14c water. Snow/ice on roads so back to treadmill before work / 3 mi 48:05. Fitbit 15,285 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) & 50 floors.
04/06: 155.5 Net calories & sugar red, sodium green, protein & fiber little low & 15c water. On the bright side, Easter candy is almost gone. Treadmill (started late) before work 2 mi 32:58. Fitbit 13,700 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) & 40 floors.
04/07: 154.5 Finally, net calories & sugar green (not by much) but sodium RED, fiber & protein low, 14c water. Brought leftover lemon bars to work & they disappeared! Also brought dinner leftovers to single co-worker who struggles at times. Made her happy & made my day! Treadmill before work / 3 mi 50:07 / stretched. Fitbit 12,845 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 (work intervened) & 37 floors.
04/08: 156.0 Late lunch was fast food including French fries (which hubby and I rarely eat nowadays), then binged on peanut M&Ms in evening ~ ack!!! Even stopped logging b/c counts were so bad. Walked dog 3.77 mi 1:02:50. Fitbit 13,035 steps, 250+ steps 9/14 (tax preparer meeting / drive time) & 27 floors.
04/09: 155.0 Net calories, sodium & sugar red (not too bad), protein good, fiber low (again) & 14c water. Walked dog 3.61 mi 1:02:54. Fitbit 14,819 steps, 250+ steps 9/14 (church + nap time) & 31 floors.

04/14: 153.5 Treadmill before work / 3 mi 49:47 / stretched. Net calories & sugar red, sodium, protein & fiber good & 14c water. Way too much snacking. Fitbit 12,237 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) & 47 floors.
04/15: 154.5 Day 1 of record-setting blizzard (Sat.) / shoveled snow 1 hour while hubby snowblowed. Travel discouraged / events & businesses closed. Net calories, sodium & sugar red (frustration eating due to storm & forced hibernation), protein & fiber good, 14c water. Fitbit 7,986 steps, 250+ steps 6/14 (lots of sitting & napping at home) & 26 floors.
04/16: 155.5 Day 2 of blizzard (Sun.) ~ everything canceled or closed, including church services ~ by evening, snow slowed down but wind still howling & 23+ inches snowfall, an April record in Green Bay. Workout again was shoveling while hubby snowblowed (2X). Net calories, sugar & sodium red (evening snacking with hubby), protein & fiber both low & 10c water. Fitbit 7,794 steps, 250+ steps 6/14 (more sitting & napping) & 62 floors (not sure how).
04/17: 155.5 (Mon.) Snow finally ended / workplace closed for day / crews needed time to clear parking lots & roads. Snowfall total at 24.2" and 2nd highest snowfall in single event in all of Green Bay history. Shoveled for last time while hubby again snowblowed. Eating still way off-track (ack!) & 14c water. Fitbit 10,249 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 (no naps / kept busy) & 42 floors.

Have a great day everyone!!4 -
This is Round 10 for me. I had a rough end of Round 9, but there are things to look forward to. I'm officially going to start a keto WOE on Monday, 4/16, and I'm going to work on cutting down my carbs significantly before then (to get myself in the mood).

Day/Weight/Comment
4/8 = 207.0 (-0.4). Played basketball yesterday, but had parents over and took them out to dinner to my favorite Mexican place. At least weight is heading in the proper direction.
4/9 = 205.4 (-1.6). BOUNCE BACK™. I had a good day eating yesterday, topped off by my favorite salad from a relatively healthy restaurant. Went grocery shopping for the week and tried to look around for some easy ready-made stuff that will work in a pinch when I start keto next week, and was able to find a couple of things (which was nice). My wife and I started our SL 5x5 last night, and I only wanted to spank her once or twice as she argued with me regarding a program I have done extensive research on (and that she knows NOTHING about). We got through it. I'm really happy to see my weight headed back down relatively quickly. As much as I know big spikes in weight are very temporary (as long as I'm being accountable and generally staying the course), it still sometimes feels traumatizing to see them. I'm going to begin to cut down on my carbs and stay away from all sweets this week (except my birthday on Saturday) in preparation for my new lifestyle.
4/10 = 204.2 (-1.2). Another BOUNCE BACK™. After freaking out 3 days ago (gaining 5 lbs in 2 days), it's nice to have again the experience of noticing things going back to normal as the days pass. Just about down to my SW from last round, and I couldn't ask for anything more at this point. I ate pretty well yesterday (slightly under maintenance), but I had a sugar binge (500 calories or so). I'm officially throwing out my remaining candy when I get home tonight. It's the Devil. I'll have a bit of my birthday cake on Saturday, but that's it for sweets for the foreseeable future. I need to figure out some Keto stuff on the subject of sweets (whether to subtract from total carbs fiber and sugar alcohols), but I think I'm generally just going to avoid them at this point, unless I learn something amazing. I need to get my taxes done, and I have some things from work that I need to accomplish at home, so I'm going to focus on that for the next couple of days (at the expense of exercise). I'll get back to the exercise on Thursday (SL 5x5 and my normal basketball night).
4/11 = 202.6 (-1.6). ANOTHER BOUNCE BACK™! This is just getting silly now, but I love it. And if I'm being honest and objective about this, what's happening right now fits a clear pattern that's been well-established by me and others here. For me - one bad meal takes 4-5 days to recover from. 4 days later, I'm just about recovered. Yesterday was great eating-wise. I was under calories, and no sugar binge. Taxes just about done. Basketball tomorrow, plus day 2 of SL 5x5. I miss exercise.
4/12 = 203.4 (+0.8). This feels likely a normal fluctuation, even if it's on the slightly extreme side. I was under maintenance yesterday, though salt intake was a little high. I have basketball and SL 5x5 tonight, and I'm going to make this a GREAT eating day. All the candy in my home had been eliminated (by my mouth). Still trying to cut down on carbs in preparation for my new Keto lifestyle (starting Monday).
4/13 = 201 (-2.4). WHOOSH™. The circle is complete. I'm a pound lower than I've been since I joined this group. This happens, of course, on the day before my birthday. I'm going to try my best to keep it under control tomorrow. ONEDERLAND is so close I can taste it. Food was great yesterday. Basketball was amazing, too. Drank 21.5 cups of water. No complaints today!
4/14 = 202.2 (+1.2). 46 today. Going to try my best to plan things out. There's dinner (burger) and cake tonight. A couple of beers later when I go bowling. I'm going to enjoy myself, but I'm trying not to have "a weekend" that I have to spend all week coming back from. Had a screwy lunch yesterday that threw things off for me food-wise, but I was around maintenance calories. I think my extreme WHOOSH™ from yesterday may not have been completely accurate, and that this is just a correction. My goal for the next 3 days is to maintain this weight. Basketball on Monday will help.
4/15 = 204.0 (+1.8). This actually wasn't bad for my birthday last night. I moderated as much as I could: amazing dinner, delicious cake, and a couple of beers when I went bowling. Keto starts tomorrow morning. Got my blood work done yesterday morning in order to set a baseline for my conversation with my doctor (about Keto). My weekend is over today (eating should be good). SL 5x5 tonight with my wife, basketball tomorrow. I think I'll have one last beer tonight.
4/16 = 203.4 (-0.6). This is my first day of Keto! Gaining only 2.4 lbs over this weekend was a victory. My wife surprised me with dinner last night that was not on my plan (cochinita pibil, for those of you who know Yucatecan food) from an amazing restaurant that she found. I'm not as prepared for Keto as I'd like to be (food-wise), but I'm diving in head-first. My wife is going to grocery shop for me tonight (I'll get her a list). SL 5x5 and basketball tonight.
4/17 = 202.0 (-1.4). Day 1 of Keto was alright. Played basketball last night, lifted weights, and didn't feel handicapped. I'm not 100% sure what to expect for Day 2 (or past that), but I'm excited to find out. 21 net carbs yesterday. Went a little high in protein.5 -

4/12 Joining late @ 254.6lbs. Which is way up from last week, and why I need to check in with some fantastic and encouraging people! Got plans all laid out, meal list, workout and SLEEP. Which is what usually sabotages me. Going grocery shopping in the AM after work and the goal is to resist impulse shopping. I have a list!
4/13 251.0 That's what happens when I stop eating junk and drink lots of water. Also, work a busy 12 hours shift! I stuck to my list at the grocery this morning! You all are a good influence already.
4/14 250.2 Despite comfort eating last night. This weekend is full of plans to eat out though. I'll be trying to balance my breakfast and lunch.

4/17 249.2 Well then! That's a 5.4lbs drop since I started spending time with you lovely folk. Clearly I need to linger in your inspiring presence more often! Thank you for being such awesome people!7 -

@DebCountsAll. I had the same situation when we cruised last October - logging in my phone but no internet. I’ll be cruising again in a couple of weeks but there is a way to adjust your streak. Go to Help and search for adjust streak. I took a picture of the directions but it won’t load the picture! URGGG TECHNOLOGY!
@CynthiaByrne On the bright side, you are down from yesterday!
@Sparx_81 I agree about grieving and you will notice I was speaking of celebrating. I did not celebrate any of the 9 deaths we suffered in a 9 month period- including 3 of our 4 parents. I was so numb with grief that I lost interest in EVERYTHING and I certainly ate to compensate.
@ClaudiaDawn2 Hang in there!! It took me FOUR MONTHS to bouncy-bounce through the 140’s. YOU CAN DO THIS!
@ElizabethAN2017 I feel so much better on Keto I can’t imagine quitting. When I get to my desired weight, I will stay Keto but adjust my macros to maintain.3 -

4/9 138.0 Water fitness this morning and I am going to begin to clean my sewing room. I have been in a funk and there is not a surface that isn’t buried! The daybed is covered with clothes that were a little small when I bought them last summer. They will either fit now or be too big! 4/14 138.5 Spent about 5 hours yesterday showing a friend around parts of Las Vegas that are not The Strip. 124% of my steps goal. Ate at El Pollo Loco twice.
4/15 138.0 Had lunch yesterday at Jimmy John’s, #9 Unwich. Spent several hours with quilty friends planning a project, ate leftover salad with chicken for supper then off to listen to live music. Nothing planned for today except perhaps sitting in the sun at the pool.

4/17 139.5 The result of having a high carb day yesterday and not enough water. I have really cut back on my 17 cups of water the last couple of days due to cramps in my calves. I need to eat spinach! Good thing I love it!6 -

Once more into the fray.... I've decided to start including my average calories for the round with my end weight so I can really get a sense of what works. I do keep my macros pretty steady, but calories fluctuate and the average matters more than daily in my experience. I'm interested to see that although I exceeded my calorie goal during the last round and my weight jumped around a bit, I finished pretty much where I started. So maybe my TDEE is higher than I think and in theory I could eat a little more than I thought and still lose. We shall see. Glad to be back - thanks for being here for support & inspiration!

4/8 - 149.6
After I posted yesterday, I decided to go a step farther for a longer view, so I averaged my daily calories for the past 30 days, during which my weight has been pretty steadily within half a pound of 149.5. Although my daily calories fluctuated from ~1400-2000, the average was 1549, which is 1 cal away from where I have put my TDEE for a while now (with minimal exercise). I really like having this data, and I'm since I do not want to cut my calories any more (metabolism & hunger), I'm happy holding steady here until I do get back to my typical activity level (soon!). It's easy to get wrapped up with the day-to-day and forget that reaching and maintaining a healthy weight is a long-term project - a lifestyle. Don't now if this helps anyone else, but it helps me a lot.
4/9 - 150.8
Eeek! But not a surprise - I had a major blow out yesterday. I knew what I was doing and did it anyway - I've been lusting after a pastry and some other things I don't usually eat, so I did it. And it's fine. Back on the wagon today with healthful food and lots to do.
4/10 - 150
A smidge better. I ate properly yesterday, still fending off my big splurge. Going out for lunch, but I'll be good.
4/11 - 150
Not much to say about this. I've really had the munchies lately. I'm not exceeding my average calories by much, but enough obviously to show up on the scale. OTOH, my sodium was high yesterday, so there's that. Jeans still fit!
4/12 - 150
The good news is that the house hunt is over! Yay! Even with the impending (short distance) move in May, this should reduce my stress level considerably and we should be able to stick to a more regular schedule of eating at home. Yay!
4/13 - 151
WHAT? Still delayed reaction? Or the grilled cheese I had for lunch dinner? (Still well within my calories.) Bummer.
4/14 - 150
OK, I still may make my <149 goal for the round. I went for a nice long walk yesterday - it was 78F - but today its 40s and pouring rain. But spring is coming!
4/15 - 150.5
Shoot! But I just tallied my ave the past 10 days and it's 100/day higher than my TDEE (maintenance calories), so it makes sense. I'll take that as a good thing as it confirms what I believe is my TDEE. So starting today I have promised myself that I will aim for TDEE minus 0-10%. Back on the wagon, and if it ever stops raining, back to my long walks.
4/16 - 151
OK, it is what it is. And not a surprise, since my calorie average the past 10 days is 150 over my estimated maintenance level (I underestimated yesterday). So I will look at this information as confirmation that I have a good understanding of my caloric needs to maintain, and now, moving forward, I can use this info to get back on track and drop the 20 or so additional pounds I want to lose over the next 6 months, give or take.
4/17 - 150
I can live with this. Next round I'm revising my goals and getting back on track to lose I've had my fun! But I'm also happy to have maintained within ~5 lbs of my original goal from 3 years ago.

Day/Weight/Comment
4/8 -334.6 - This is a back up to past the starting point again. Plan on sticking to the plan more closely. It's been a rough few days making this number not all that surprising. I hope by sticking to the plan I'll ditch the water weight at least.
4/9 - 328.2 - Back on target for eating habits. I haven't gotten back into a routine of exercise, yet, due to the weakness and fatigue caused by my medications. I will keep trying to find the sweet spot in my day to get a good workout.
4/10 - 326.0 - Happy to see it still moving in the right direction. Still sticking to the diet and exercise plan, admittingly not really getting much in the way of exercise, working on it.
4/12 - 328.8 - Big jump from a day of not eating quite right. It's amazing the flutuations at this level.
4/13 - 331.2 - Had a bunch of Chinese food last night, so lots of water retention, some actual weight gain as my calorie level was over 3,000, but that's not enough to equate to 2.5 pounds of weight. Getting back on track today by skipping the trip to George's (it's a restaurant). Still at a net loss for the month and fully intending to have it go down again tomorrow and going forward.
4/14 - 331.0 - It's a smidge down. It's a small step in the right direction. Sleep was off and not feeling beat down by medication yet as well. This new medication may be a key to me not sleeping half the day or feeling the need to sleep half the day.
4/15 - 332.8 - poor eating.
4/16 - 334.0 - My official weigh-in day has me back up over my official start weight.
4/17 - 328.8 - Whoosh! Mostly water, but still nice to see. I worked very hard to stick to my diet yesterday, even though I did have a fair amount of cookies yesterday.7 -

WOW! I’m 3.5 away from my next goal (30% of starting weight gone), and 7.5 away from 100 lbs gone! I’m feeling so good about this!!
4/9 - 227.5
Packing up for an overnight trip out of town, and I’m planning ahead!
4/10 - No weigh-in (out of town)
4/11 - 227.9
I’m trying not to worry about this one! It’s that time of the month, and I ate pretty late just before going to bed last night.
4/12 - 227.7
Haha, slowing down after a sharp period of loss, I suppose! I don’t mind—I’ll just keep plugging along!!
4/13 - 227.7
I’ve got a crazy weekend planned, so I need to really focus. I’ve made a plan that will inevitably change 384829375 times, so this will be a great challenge for me to roll with these changes and stay on track!
4/14 - 227.7
We’ve got a little 2-year-old with us this weekend for respite foster care, which means there are carbs in the house for the first time in 6 months. I know it’s inevitable that I’ll have some of it (otherwise I’ll deprive myself and then eat an entire box of fruit loops in “rebellion”), so I just need to be intentional about it and make sure I don’t go overboard.
4/15 - 227.7
Well, I’m happy with staying the same! The goldfish crackers got me, but I did fairly well otherwise!
4/16 - 227.7
Still happy with this number, despite the sleep deprivation!
4/17 - 227.7
Our little one goes back to her regular home today. I’m happy for her but a also little heartbroken. I’m traveling quite a bit over the next few weeks (which I’ll have to plan for), but it’ll be good to have a distraction from missing her.5
