I totally second this !!!
I have read this everyday and found little perks of " yeah... that too ! "
Same here! This, and the most recent NSV thread are suuuper motivating.3 -
I want to be at my high school weight.8

I started gaining weight after I passed the age of 40. Metabolism slowed then I had to have a hysterectomy which did not help with the weight gain. I am not necessarily working towards a pretty but I am working towards a better me.12

I have a few vain reasons for wanting to lose weight... I want to go anywhere with confidence. Plus it helps that I could wear anything and look good, that isn’t possible in my current state. And lastly, I’m the big girl in my family. I’m the tallest and the biggest, so I always get snide remarks and snotty looks. I want to be the one giving the looks just once!7

It’s not really that petty but I want to be able to look back at family photos and not be like “ew” lol. I want to just appreciate and relive the memories not be focused on the fact that I look bad. Photos from my sons birthday party last year were like that. We went to the park last night and my husband took some photos/videos of me with my 2 year old and i was expecting to watch them and be like oh great I ruined the video with my flabby butt. but I was surprised I looked fine.17

I'm seeing a lot of reasons here... but most of them aren't petty.
Instead, it just sounds like folks looking for better health and acceptance of self.

You must have missed mine! Mine is super petty, but I found it worked to keep me motivated this week. On Wednesday evening I really wanted to wind down with a glass of wine after dinner but then thought of that woman whom I hate who's working out at the gym daily. I immediately said to myself, "B---- ain't gonna be skinnier than me."30 -
I refuse to be over-weight like most people I know... lol13

This is 100% my motivator too. It was my 33rd birthday at the weekend and my face looks like a moon in all the photos. It made me so sad because I thought I looked pretty good.
Also, I've been single for a while now and I'm too lacking in confidence to go on a date right now. I want to be chatted up in bars. I feel invisible at the moment.17 -

You have a pretty face though. It's not so round it's unattractive.0 -
Revenge..........I want to show an "it" that I can be a better person...........The women that "it" is typically attracted to, take care of themselves...........I know one and it feeds my insecurities. Just enough to give me that extra ooph to start and keep going.5

I have been married for 41 years and I have never weighed less than my husband. He is 6 feet tall and I am 5ft 2 inches.19

No longer want to be labelled as "that fat girl".
And to be more handsome than my boss.6 -
This sounds awful... I want to be the slimmest and healthiest in my family. We have lots of Cherokee blood. My whole life I was told that we are just "big boned" and didn't have it in our genes to be slim. Mostly for health reasons though.7

I want to live long enough to see my grandchildren disappoint my children...52

I'll be 61 in August and I've lost 50 lbs so far...got another 50 to go but it's coming off!16
