    Oops, I had a bit of a break as I had a friend stay for the weekend, but back on it today and ready to double tomorrow.
    You've all been doing so well!!

    06/06 so I started with 4, thought I might do 5, but that did not happen...

    Ok, I'm in a week late, good idea to force me to do this, I have been avoiding arm work as I know I am weak so looking forward to this.

    06/06 - 6 wide full and 2 narrow on knees
    07/06 - 6 wide full and 2 narrow on knees
    08/06 - as above lol. Hopefully more tomorrow!
    09/06 - 6 wide and 2 narrow full (yay!) 2 narrow knees
    10/06 - didn't do, had a full on upper body strength workout, and I forgot to do pushup till AFTER my triceps were burned out haha
    11/06 - 8 wide, 1 narrow full, 2 narrow knees! Yay progress
    12/06 - didnt do, sick.

    13/06 - 9 wide and 4 narrow full, 2 narrow on knees (woo hoo)

    As far as I can. I'm aiming at least horizontal humerus. I'm not touching the floor though..

    I'm not good at push ups. (yet?) Instead of starting with a flat number and doubling the next week, I'd like to try something different. I want to start with doing knee-bench push ups, then progress to foot-bench, then knee-floor, and eventually foot-floor. I tried it this morning - I was able to do a total of 16 knee to bench push ups. Quite simply, my hands are on a bench or even chair will do - and I'm kneeling - and then lower down and raise up ... slowly and purposefully. I wanted to do 3 sets of 10. But, I only did half of that. Maybe after a full week, I can do 3 sets of 10 of those. Or maybe I'll try again later today. I'm not sure how fast or slow I'll progress. But it would be nice one day to be able to do actual push ups !

    I know my strategy is a bit different from what was stated originally - hope that's ok with you all.

    6/13 : 1.6 sets of 10 knee-bench pushups - 16 count

    @allison8668 I don't think there is a right or wrong way or a one size fits all method. I'm certainly not aiming to double each week, just a gradual improvement in strength which I'm hoping will also improve my swimming performance. Your method sounds very solid! :smile:
