Opnion please

I weighed 423 2 weeks ago. I have not been perfect in my choices but I am tracking calories daily. However I have a scale that only goes to 400. Should I invest in a new scale or should I just wait till I get on the scale and it works because I eventually get below 400?

Wait until you go below 400. You can set other goals like tracking your food intake consistently, counting steps, minutes of exercise daily or taking a body measurement like your wrist. Body measurements change more slowly but they are still a measurement.

I agree that you should find a scale you can use weekly or bi-weekly to do a check in until you get to a lower weight. Are you weighing your food, though? That is a scale you should not wait to buy.

If you have weekly access to a pro scale then no need to weigh yourself more often.

Most gyms, and I know the Y, will let you use thiers for no charge every week or two, without requiring a membership.
