My official weekly weigh in, is Tuesday evening @ TOPS, so my ticker tape will reflect that loss.
My daily weight is on my home scale, so I can monitor how my week is going.
My ultimate goal is 175lbs, so any loss is a good loss.

Love this challenge, did good in the last one, looking forward to loosing more this round.

7/17 184.2 bad start to my week calories wise, but I did workout, I did day 5 of the 30 day shred, and although I haven't worked out 5 days consistently im at least working out. I need to do better.
7/18 I83.4 I didnt workout yesterday nor this morning I just felt so tired and slept through. Last week I started good like I always do but then the 2nd week comes and I drag, I'm not watching what I eat as much but I'm still trying to work out in the afternoon,at least it helps me stay the same, but that's not why I'm here. IM HERE TO LOOSE THE WEIGHT. I'm going to prep for the rest of the week, because the next 2 weekends I'm going out of town. I have to at least be under 180.
7/19 183.6 a little disappointed but not really, this is to wake me up, that I need to get back on the ball. I'm supposed to be at 182 by now, I just need to keep moving don't give up.
7/20 183.0 that's more like it, now to continue to go down, and on the weekend of all days smh this is going to be hard. First I didnt workout this morning, and I don't know if I'm going to be able to workout tonight. Then tomorrow I work in the morning, so I can't go running, I'm thinking of coming back home and working out. But then we are doing a cookout of steaks that night. Sunday we are going to a friends house who is doing brisket ribs and chicken, omg my weekend is full of food. I have to find a way to workout if I will be able to eat without gaining any of it back.
7/21 182.6 yay so happy but scared please help me keep it off, I'm so close to my mini goal of 179
7/22 182.8 uhm ok ate really bad but did 30 day shed level 1 so not bad, but I still have today to worry about and I can't go running smh, really going to watch my portions ok n sizes.
7/23 184.2 awh man kinda waiting for this to go up but wasn't expecting it to be so high. I feel like I'm starting all over again for this week 😔
7/24 183.4 better way better, I know I should of worked out yesterday morning but I just couldn't my stomach was already starting to hurt. But I did do my 30 day shred, I actually started level 2 👍 I've done the 10 days of level 1 maybe not consistently but at least I did them now and I'm on to the next level. I'll get to were I want to be this is a stepping stone gotta let it happen, just shouldn't let it bring me down. Keep moving you got this. Nobody said this would be easy. OMG I had to do a video for work and I hated it, I look huge so disappointed in myself. But I know that only I can change myself. #never give up
7/25 184.6 ok so yesterday I did workout in the morning but didn't in the afternoon instead we decided to go to the movies and at first I did well then I didnt. I can't give up I wanted to end this round with at least 2 lbs lost. It dosen't look like that is going to happen, let's at least loose something, You got this. I do feel a little better in my clothes, I feel like my stomach has gone down, so at least I'm progressing Keeping moving forward

7/17 - 148.6 - I wasn't feeling very well at the end of last round and just starting to feel better today so my weight might be off for a few days until I'm eating normally again. Would love this number to stick around right through the next 10 days though.
7/18 - 150.0 - Not worried about the weight increase, I'm still in a downward trend but feeling just an overall "blah" with life in general right now. Need to find a way to get out of this weird funk I'm in.
7/19 - 148.8 - I guess I'm back here again, alright. Maybe it'll stay this time.
7/20 - 148.0 -
7/21 - 148.4 - normal fluctuation... food and water were good yesterday. No worries here.
7/22 - 148.4 - holding steady
7/23 - 148.4 - With such a big drop at the very beginning I'm ok with hanging out at this weight for a few days. This week is going to be crazy as I'll be running around like a mad woman trying to pack for 4 people for a week vacation. Leaving Saturday, this momma can't wait to sit on the beach and actually be ok with my body in my suit.
7/24 - 148.4 - I haven't worked out in over a week just haven't been motivated but worked out for 45 minutes last night and it felt so good, scheduled a work out for this afternoon and planning on keeping it, got to bring the motivation back.I believe I'm slowly coming out of this weird funk I've been in and getting back to myself.
7/25 - 148.4 - Another 45 minute workout yesterday, ready to shed this weight I've been stuck at for the majority of this round. Another workout planned for today but my main goal for today is to drink more water. I've been slacking on how much I drink but I did turn down pop twice yesterday so I'm proud of myself for that.

7/17 --172.4 slightly disappointed, exercised my *kitten* off yesterday. I do, do a lot if weight work so I'm thinking taking my measurements might be a good idea, in case my muscle building effects the scale...don't need the scale to mess with my head. Drank 1.5 liters of water...Still working on it. I think I need to start eating breakfast though, I tend to skip till lunch.
7/18--172.8 super dissapointed. I work out for 2 hours a day, trying to go for three. Like I said yesterday I do a lot with weights so planning to keep it all cardio today...Hopefully I will see a change on the scale. On the bright side I have noticed my clothes aren't as tight, so just trying to keep that in mind. I hate how easy it is to gain but so hard to loose. So frustrating...argggg. 1.25 liters of water yesterday. Also working on eating better...lately I haven't been hungry because of the working out so tend not too eat until late lunch or only at dinner, having about one meal a day. Probably should change this.
7/19--172.2 alright a slight loss, I will take it. Ate good yesterday, had 1.5 liters of water..working on it, exercised all cardio and one weight train so that helped lol. Thinking of trying the clean eating, seems to work well with some people on here.
7/20--173.8 not surprised, I not only had a rest day when it came to exercising, my muscles were so sore from the day before, but I also made home made pizza for the hubby and my younger brothers and although at first I stayed away, I eventually wanted to try a little, which turned into a slice, which turned into desert...brownies. 1 liter of water. Back on track today though and I learnt my lesson. Rest days aren't the right days to side track my diet as well, choose one. I will put in the work today and hopefully this will be gone tomorrow.
7/21--172.4 could have done better last night with my eating, had two biscuits, looking for more nutritional food to eat but otherwise I am happy with my loss. Did less exercising then usual but I at least I got it done so I am satisfied. 1 liter of water. Hoping for more of a loss the next five days *fingers crossed*
7/22--172 did well yesterday, got in my exercising ate pretty good for breakfast and dinner but couldn't help the snacking throughout the day...oops. Lol no LNE which was hard because I found myself starving around 10 30, i will take it as a win. 1.5 liters of water. Hoping to be out of the 170s by the end of this. Argggg.
7/23--171.8 ate tons of veggies and stuck to my calorie goals. Didn't exercise at all, had a lazy day but I know that will change today, I will get back into it. Last week I had two workout days off (one for soreness so I will let it go) this week I only want to have one. Drank 1 liter of water, really need to up that. Took my measurements at the beginning of the ten days and will do it again at the end of these ten days, I have a feeling I'm loosing inches faster then weight.
Have a great week everyone
7/24-- 171.4 did a great work out yesterday, was so happy. Some days I work out and think "why am I doing this?" and it really makes working out suck, especially the day after when I'm sore and end up procrastinating the next workout ...but yesterday was amazing. I was totally in the zone and kept pushing the boundaries, it was one of those energy filled days where I felt like I could keep going and never stop. It was amazing!!! I love days like that, technically it's the only reason I always go back to working out. I ate good yesterday, had the opportunity to indulge in some chocolatey treats but decided on a bowl of veggies, the only issue was it was at 10 30....oops. 1.5 liters of water....argggg really need to focus. My only issue is eating more. I need to focus on getting more food in threw out the day and not jam pack my calories at dinner. Lately I have been only pulling 800 calorie days which I think is the reason I'm not loosing weight faster. It's a learning process
7/25--170 woot!!! downhill trend. I just want to bypass this for tomorrow and end the 10 days starting in the 60s. Didn't feel like working out yesterday but I pushed myself and made it happen....but then ended up completely energy depleted. I didn't do as much working out as I would have liked but the fact that I did end up doing something makes me proud of myself. Those are the days that count the most. My clothes are fitting better and I'm feeling a lot better, today is starting out to be a good mental day. 1.5 liters of water. LETS END THIS STRONG EVERYONE!!

I was doing this for a while, went away when I got frustrated, and am now coming back to it. I feel more focused now.

7/17 - 143.4 60 min of cardio w/avg bpm of 141; good for a 551 cal burn
7/18 - 143.0 Good upper body workout today with 20 min of easy cardio and stretching
7/19 - 142.9
7/20 - 143.1
7/21 - Away and ate too much bad snack food
7/22 - Did better at eating the food I packed
7/23 - 144.0 Lack of smart choices on the weekend has me heading in the wrong direction
7/24 - 145.6 Salty food yesterday and too much bread; fighting a cold but still did 50 minutes of cardio; need to be clean today to get back on track.
7/25 - 144.0 Back to Ground 0. Need to finish this round heading in the right direction. 30 minutes of light cardio followed by lots of stretching. Still fighting a cold I picked up on the weekend.

First round
starting weight in round 228.8
current weight in round 221.6
7/17 228.8 (Had a small portion of spaghetti. Now that I'm logging, I've been eating too much of it. Never tasted better though)
7/18 228.2 (Two glasses of red wine)
7/19 227.4 ( Ditto)
7/20 225.6 ( Made the mistake of opening old butterscotch/bourbon Ice cream sauce Tried it 2x, then tossed it )
7/21 223.6 ( Very tired, lousy night sleep - no energy )
7/22 223.0 (Reasonable portion of pasta and sauce - two glassed of red wine. Went 75 over on calories and I sacrificed fruit, veggies and yogurt. Better balance today. Racing through the 220's but can do better.
7/23 222.8 (Sloppy eating and calorie counting. Could have been worse. Had one can of IPA instead of three.)
7/24 221.8 (Made the mistake of going into my wife's granola cereal, a.k.a smashed cookies, for just a little. Two and a half servings later it replaced my healthy lunch and evening wine. Live and learn)
7/25 221.6 (It's shocking how much better food tastes when you're not eating everything in sight, like I have new tastebuds. I need to keep bad stuff out of the house. I bought beer that I wasn't suppose to drink until Saturday - we all know how that ended)

7/17--177.2 Going back down. It was sooo hard to lose these few pounds, apparently I wanted to do it all over again They came back on over a few days of getting off track, so hopefully they will go away just as quickly. Fingers crossed!
7/18--176.0 Keep it going...
7/19--175.0 Excellent! I'm happy to know that a handful of bad days isn't going to totally wreck my progress, it's just taking me the same amount of days to recover, and that's okay. Today might be hard; I barely slept last night. I just have a lot of things on my mind coupled with going to bed hungry. I don't make a habit of this but darn it, I was already over my calories and stubbornly didn't want to eat more, so I went to bed. Well, I was hungry all night and I am sooo hungry this morning! Hopefully a good dose of protein will do the trick. Pilates class tonight.
7/20--174.8 Woohoo!
7/21--176.0
7/22--No weigh in; we took an impromptu weekend road trip, so I might be paying for that on the scale for the next couple of days. It was fun though!
7/23--177.6 Whoops. Need to recover from two days of eating out.
7/24--177.6 Struggle bus this round.
7/25--178.4 UGHHHHH I've been well over my daily calorie goal for the last several days so like it or not, I earned this number. Just really struggling with my diet the last two rounds.

•7/17- 190.6 - Expected. All of my food yesterday was eaten in one hour last night. I was not doing OMAD, just didn't eat all day. This is a week about others and not me. Helping DIL with decorating for Granddaughter's 5th B'day party. That means I'm crafting decorations until 12m - 1am nightly. Yesterday and today helping my niece, who is like a daughter to me, set up her kitchen in her new house.
Next week I'm sure I'll be helping her with some other things as she and her family settle in. 45g carbs, 36g net carbs. Cauliflower and cheddar cheese soup, 2 cups!, salad greens, strawberries with almond butter and whipped cream, again.
•7/18 -190.2 - Early weigh in. Tired. Retaining fluid. Much to do for this b'day party, so full court press is on. 40g carbs, 32g net carbs. Peanut butter, salad, spinach, celery & apple in chicken salad. Too much coffee yesterday. I want coffee now.
•7/19 - 190.2 at 8:30am. 191.8 at 5:30am. Retaining fluid. 42g carbs, 26g net carbs. Lettuce, whole roma tomato, jalapeno slices, low carb flatbread, peanut butter.
•7/20 190 - Early weigh in. Surprised it's not more, since I had only 5 hours of broken sleep. Active mind, don't want to forget to take any decoration elements for DGD's party. Saturday at 2pm it will all over. Salad, pistachios and peanut butter. 44g carbs, 34g net carbs. Pistachios are VERY CARBY.
•7/21 - No weigh in. - Not much food yesterday, but a lot of extra calories over maintenance. Did not sleep all night. Stayed up decorating for party, fueled by peanut butter. 51g carbs, 46g net carbs. Peanut butter, broccoli slaw, poppyseed salad dressing.
•7/22 - 189.4 - Yesterday was B'day party day. Really surprised about the weight, not surprised about the carb count. Well, I'll see what tomorrow brings. I prepared my own food for yesterday and took it with me, but the outdoor mermaid party had to be indoors due to the pouring rain.
-17 children and probably that same number of adults in the house. It was easier to just eat the food in front of me. The bread was to fill me up and before eating it, I made up my mind to accept the consequences for it. Now my baby is "officially" 5. Her birthday was days ago, but she told me then that she's not five until she blows out her candles. Lol.
-187g carbs, 179g net carbs. Sandwich roll (2), potato chips (about 1/4 cup of broken pieces), cheese curls (2) and cupcake. Frozen fruit, tomato, lettuce. Totally exhausted. Peanut butter and sleep after returning home.
•7/23 - 199.2 - Early weigh in.I can still feel the tiredness through my body. 45g carbs, 37g net carbs. Fresh peach, cottage cheese, salad, salsa, peanut butter.
•7/24 - 188.2 - Early weigh in. 46g carbs, 34g net carbs. Spaghetti squash, salad, salsa, peanut butter, marinara sauce, watermelon, guacamole.
•7/25 - 188 - Early weigh in. 47g carbs, 36g net carbs. Spinach, spaghetti squash, marinara sauce, peanuts, strawberries

7/17 / 227.6 at 6:10 / Backing away from my muscle repair and pho water retention. Another good eating day in the books yesterday and I woke up much more limber than yesterday morning!
7/18 / 227.4 at 7:20 / Feeling great. I'm experimenting with going meatless some days and finding it pretty easy. That helps me ensure that I'm getting plenty of fruits and veggies those days, and I try new foods that way, too. And 5 days since last Monday I've had days where I only drank water or (one day) tea. These little challenges are keeping me on my toes and very conscious of what I'm eating, which is a great thing for me, as I can get very much in a rut.
7/19 / 226 at 8:10 / Nice to see this number popping up again like an old friend! Yesterday was a day when I did lots of wall sits. Wall sits are hard, for the record.
7/20 / 224.8 at 6:10 / Pleasant surprises are pleasant!
7/21 / 224.4 at 8:30 / Obviously a much later weigh-in than yesterday, but I'm still pleased. I'm on a streak of great eating and exercise that I love. I know that I'll hit rocky patches, so I'm just taking pleasure in the occasional smooth sailing.
7/22 / 224.8 at 8:00 / Still cruising. I have a bit of a stiff back right now because of some ill-advised lunges. Boo! But I shall overcome!
7/23 / 224.4 at 8:35 / Great weekend. Only somewhat hampered by my back. 14 days straight of staying under calories and meeting exercise goals. In another challenge, we can do a version of bingo, where we fill out a bingo card with goals then try to fill in the squares by meeting the goals. Highly recommended as a way to find motivation!
7/24 / 223.8 at 8:45 / Woot woot! I expect my glorious trend to end soon with TOM, but it's been a nice road. That's nearly 5 pounds off in this round. Yesterday, I filled in more bingo squares (I took a walk on a path I've never used before) and squeaked in under my calories by 5.
7/25 / 223.2 at 9:00 / Wow. TOM making me sick as a dog, but I didn't expect another drop right now. Just barely made my calories again, but "barely" counts!

Oct. 19, 2018 Goal: 300
UGW: 125
7/17: 333.0 (Corrected typo from yesterday)
7/18: 331.2
7/19: 327.6 Well, I never expected that to happen. Incredibly surprised! Did well on my breakfast and lunch,
dinner not so much. I was so mentally and physically tired that I stopped at Wendy's on the way
home. Knew it was the wrong thing to do. I do this all the time--too tired to fix a meal so I stop for
fast food. This is where my trouble always starts. So, now that I have identified my major problem, I
have to work on the solution. After some research last night, I think meal prep on the weekend for the work
week will do wonders for me. I don't have to worry about "what to do" for dinner after a stressful day
at work. I can just come home and pop it in the oven/microwave and there I go! I will say the one
thing that is working for me is drinking water. It has gotten a lot easier to drink so much of it as
long as I put some limes in it.
7/20: 327.6 Well, no loss but I’ll take it. Did have pasta for dinner and I love my pasta! Need to work on portion size though.
7/21: 327.8 Pasta again. Love my pasta, but need to be more disciplined when it comes to portion size.
7/22: 326.8 Did really well today. Made good food choices. Need to keep with this trend.
7/23: 326.8 I’m happy about this weigh-in. Good weekend—went out with friends to a “Mary Poppins”themed tea party and then out to eat with family. Made smart choices, so I’m satisfied. Starting exercise today. See how that plays into the next weigh-in.
7/24: 326.8 First time back at the gym went pretty well. Went slow so I wouldn’t risk injury by doing too much too fast. Felt good afterwards. Then towards evening it hit me. My body screaming at me, “WHAT DID YOU DO?!!” 🤣😂 The soreness has eased up this morning. Just have to remember that it will get better. The more exercise I do, the better I’ll feel.
7/25: 325.6 Nice to see some moment after three days sitting at the same weight. I’m actually looking forward to seeing the final numbers at the end of this challenge. It’s my first time doing this and I have to say having the support of this community along with keeping myself honest with check-ins and food tracking has helped a great deal.

7/17- 228.2 Yay! I thought for sure that I would have a bump today. I guess walking all day countered the two eating out meals today. I’m seeing a trend where my beginning and end rounds are great (barring poor food choices and/or not enough water). Bumps tend to be towards the middle of the round. Learning lots about myself.
7/18- 227.4 Beyond stoked!
7/19- 226.8 Sixth consecutive day logging a loss. Doing very well this round. Not doing anything differently than last round so I don’t know why that is but I will take it.
7/20- 226.4 Fully anticipated a bump given I was snacking a bit here and there yesterday. Also seemed extra thirsty this morning. May see it catch up to me I’m the coming days and I’m okay with that.
7/21- 226.6 There it is. Need to push water. Triple digits outside next few days. Eek.
7/22- 227.4 weekend + not enough water + pizza for dinner = recipe for mid-round bump. Bummer.
7/23- 227.6 I know I said I’d be okay seeing a bump but I’m not. Morale is slipping. Trying to stay positive. Weekdays are where most loss happens. Have to be extra careful as I’ll be traveling this weekend to my in-laws. My MIL is the best baker and her love language is FOOD.
7/24- 226.8 Headed back down. Fingers crossed it continues down to the end of round.
7/25- 226.0 Yippee! Good day food wise. The universe heard my plea for a morale boost and 2 separate co-workers commented on my recent weight loss. No one had said anything prior to yesterday. One even called it drastic and asked what I was doing. I introduced her to MFP.

Change of plans for this round...I've decided to stop worrying about these last 8-13 pounds and focus on eating healthfully most of the time at or just below maintenance, getting a variety of exercise, and generally making the most of the summer. As long as I don't gain, everything is fine. If I lose a little, all the better. I also aim to reboot my daily meditation practice, which I used to do faithfully. It's all part of the picture.
Goals:
Food ~~ 1430 calories max; P 15-25%, C 35-50%, F 25-35%; mostly clean & healthful
Exercise: 60 minutes/day of walking/swimming + yoga/stretch class 3X/week
Weight ~~ maintain or lose slowly.

7/17 - 148.4 - 1495 - 10-day ave 1422 - 30-min walk-run intervals
I've been driving myself crazy about not losing despite cutting back to the point of going hungry, so I've changed my goals a bit. I'll be aiming for my sedentary maintenance calories (1430) plus up to half of what I earn in exercise -- happily, I'm finally back to daily walks/swimming and I'm looking at bikes. Now to resume weight training.... I've also changed my weight goal to 140, which will put me in the "normal" BMI range. I may eventually want to lose another 5-10, but I need to stop obsessing about that.
7/18 - 148.5 - 1401 - 10-day ave 1423 - 90-min slow zoo walk
Good day yesterday, although I had a bit more sodium than usual (and my actual weight went up). Last evening we went to the zoo and walked around the Indonesian Rain Forest exhibit for about 90 minutes, which was wonderful.
7/19 - 148.4 - 1345 - 10-day ave 1403
My iPad seems to have died so I'm guessing at my moving average, but my actual weight came back down, so this is close. Beautiful weather still, so I'm looking forward to a nice long walk. I'm feeling much less stressed about weight since I decided maintaining is fine!
7/20 - 148.4 - 1343 - 10-day ave 1383
I'm still guessing at my moving average, but my actual weight is holding steady, so this is close. All good. Rainy day today (which is good!) so I'll do my walking indoors at the Y. For the past few days I've been waking up with serious neck and lower back pain - no idea what happened all of a sudden, but I'm no a happy camper. I'm hoping to see a chiropractor today or Monday. Who has time for this nonsense??? Anyway, happy Friday, all.
7/21 - 148.4 - 1370 - 10-day ave 1316
The loss doesn't show since I'm using my moving average, but my actual weight is down & now equals my moving ave. Clothes are fitting looser no matter what the scale says. All good!
7/22 - 148.6 - 1704 - 10-day ave 1370
Little bit of a splurge yesterday, but no junk food! It will balance out today. Still all good.
7/23 - 148.2 - 1361 - 10-day ave 1383
On track, other than a lot of neck and lower back pain I've been fighting for almost a week. Happy new week!
7/24 - 148.2 - 1460 - 10-day ave 1396
Excellent. Keeping my 10-day average below my estimated TDEE (maintenance) of (depending on the calculator) 1430-1480 seems to be working. I went for a lovely walk yesterday morning along the St. Joe River Native Tree Walk, and spent some time in the gorgeous Master Gardener gardens at the county extension office. Perfect way to start the day. Seeing new chiropractor tomorrow, finally. Lunch today with a friend I haven't seen since 2012! I'm off now to study the menu.... Have a good one!
7/25 - 147.6 - 1297 - 10-day ave 1405
Could it be that I'm losing now that I've decided maintenance is fine? Sure, why not? We shall see.

Away again for a few days this round for sons wedding up in Yorkshire but intend to do my best and eat as well as I can as off on holiday in just over two weeks
Round goal by next Thursday is to finish in the 135's to stay on track to reach 133 by my holiday.......
07/17 - 135.80lb (-0.80lb). Happy happy happy I've been properly focused recently and this is the result. Guess its the thought of my holiday, wearing shorts and being on the beach - and I don't want to scare of the locals! My goal for the round was 135 something - so there already but am away over the weekend again so looking to still be here (but will happily take and will aim for a bit lower!) when the round ends..... 134 something ?
07/18 -134.50lb (-1.30lb) - no idea where this large drop has come from but happy to take it - especially as its probably my lowest weight for many years - probably pre my wedding 18 years ago! Did have a tough gym session last night - HiiT and then treadmill cardio interval training - so maybe must water loss ? Either way, happy today so definitely keeps me motivated
07/19 - 134.60lb (+0.1lb) technically up but given the massive drop the last couple of days I am more than ok with this and to be honest will be happy to settle around here by rounds end Another good food day planned, gym tonight followed by hubbys home made burger - yummy!
07/20 - 135.30 (+0.70lb) Not sure - food was all good and in calorie allowance so can only blame my husband as he made the burgers last night which were a carb heavier dinner than I normally have However am not upset or discouraged as still 1.3lb down from the start of the round
07/21 - 135.40lb (+0.1lb) - seem to have stabilised round here for a bit which is all good with me! Off away again tomorrow morning for sons wedding in Yorkshire so a few days ahead that I need to make sure I remotely stay in control as off on hols in under two weeks
07/22 - 134.50lb (-0.9lb) Glad I had a quick weigh in this morning now. Just the next few days of hotel breakfasts, meals out and wedding food to get through! But at this weight will feel happy in my dress
07/23 - No weigh - Away - sons wedding
07/24 - No weigh - Away - sons wedding
07/25 - no weigh - but back home and straight back to eating normally! Magpie fish and chips in Whitby, full wedding breakfast and evening buffet, hotel breakfasts ..... ouch! Will weigh in tomorrow to finish the round but then full on attack until next Thursday as then off on my holidays for a couple of weeks ..... So want to get to 133 before I go.....

Round 47 Goal: -2
Day/Weight/Comment
7/17- 253.4 I like these 10-day chunks. Goal today is water first and drink 90+ oz. ✅
7/18 - 253.2 water first ✅ continues to be the goal for the week
7/19 - 254.0 ✅ I found myself eating whatever because I was tired
7/20 - 254.4 water first, eat more veggies ✅, be mindful - I did eat more veggies but was lax on the water. The salad I ordered from a gourmet food truck (best option) was a small portion and little protein ☹️ As a result, I overate when I got home and was not mindful in my choices.
7/21 - 255.2 water first, veggies
7/22 - 253.6 yesterday, I wasn’t mindful at all - super lazy - today I’m prepping for a better week
7/23 - 253.0 drink water water water. ✅
7/24 - 252.0 yesterday, made healthy choices, took Mom out for Chinese on her birthday and I kept my portion in check - ate lots of broccoli and drank lots of water. Today’s goal - still water! ✅
7/25 - 251.8 today’s goal is water and also to track - I haven’t tracked the last two days. 😬

7/17 - Tuesday - 195.4 - Feeling strong and fit. It was hot and humid yesterday - I would have laid on the couch in the air conditioning last year. This year I went for a 1 mile walk/hike AND went swimming AND cooked dinner on the grill (well DH did that I just hung around outside). Life is too short not to do those things. Friends are staying the night tonight as a stop over on their trip from FL to ME. Lots of clean up to do before they get there - but I wont go nuts. We have all lived together at one point or another so they already know what my house looks like regularly Nonetheless it will be a late night. Maybe I'll get a movie and eat ice cream while I wait for them, if it fits in my calories - this means probably another walk tonight so I can do that! I brought more meds to work today and remembered my fish oil - those habits had been suffering lately so looking to focus on improving that over the next 10 days. I kept my goal the same as last week but after thinking about it again I would like to be closer to 193 - I've been hanging around 195 for what feels like a while. I'm going to continue to consider that but not change it just yet.
7/18 - Wednesday - No weigh in - OOPS! Totally spaced it this morning. This is not a bad thing though. I was in the moment with friends visiting. For me, it's nice to know I'm not obbsessing over the number. I was also dog tired as they didnt get in until 5AM and I already had my alarm set to wake me at 1AM so sleep was minimal. So that also lead to not packing breakfast or lunch...poor planning on my part. But, I'll make the best of it! A reasonable choice at lunch and lots of water! We should be able to grill up some sausage for dinner and I've got some rice and veg ready to go! It never gets easier, but I'm getting better at figuring it out!
7/19 - Thursday - 194.0 - Well yesterday was great for seeing friends! I picked up salad and pizza and met them at home. It was nice to only work a half day and be able to see them (and nap) - so grateful to have that luxury at work. I was pretty good and ate all my salad first, then a breadstick, and then I had one slice later on. I couldnt resist the temptation of one lonely slice! I did cook dinner at home so that was a win! I almost went out to get ice cream but resisted and had a PB&J roll up instead. Still a treat, but not a 1200 calorie blizzard treat! I was able to rationalize with myself that I already had my "20" treat when I ate that slice of pizza - it was empowering to say I want it, but I'll have it another time. 95 day log in streak today and habits are starting to feel more like part of my lifestyle! And one that I enjoy!!!
7/20 - Friday - 193.4 - Visualized it this morning before getting on the scale! My clothes are feeling looser than ever. I was able to wear my favorite shirt today that had become too small - glad I saved it! Got out for a dog walk last night and made an effort to engage my core. I made it up the big hill easier than I have in a LONG time. I walked at a very brisk pace (my phone informed me) and didnt feel like I was dying after! Such an improvement from the end of winter when I started this loop. I remember walking up the hill saying to myself, "someday it will be easier." Yesterday was that day! My food choices have been leaning towards the comfort food side of things as we make these huge life changing decisions - but I have been mindful of portion sizes so I still enjoy what I'm craving instead of depriving myself of it and then binging. Last night was a risotto. Tonight might be pizza but I'll track it and be mindful! I'm trying to eat what we have in the house so we're not grocery shopping and then moving it all. Plans to do some closet purging this weekend to get a head start on packing! Happy Friday everyone!
7/21 - Saturday - 193.8 - early day to pick up our first tractor! Busy busy until just now. Ate whatever I could get my hands on thru out the day. Also did a dog walk and bath. Pooped. Tomorrow will be another busy day so I'm calling it quits for the most part today. Dinner will be raviolis because....because. I really would like to get some stuff thrown out tomorrow among other Sunday chores. I'm rambling. Bye!
7/22 - Sunday - 194.8 - Another early day to get tractor attachments. Basically drove all day long. Made sure to have smoothie before leaving yesterday. BK for lunch but just the sandwich, and water. Managed to get to the grocery store with a small list and stick to it. Cleaned the kitchen. DH made country fried steak for dinner. Ben and Jerrys for dessert - stayed within 1 serving size! I put a few things in a trash bag to donate late last night. I really wanted to get some form of moving done, so I did one small thing to at least say I started...it's going to be a lot of work!
7/23 - Monday - 194.6 - I think this might be the first time ever I've seen the scale go down on a Monday? My weekend diary does not look pretty - but honestly I'm proud of it. I ate a bunch of things I normally would have over indulged on. But I ate the correct portion sizes! I stayed around maintenance each day without prelogging, or tracking (I logged everything the day after, and even considered not logging it at all because I was embarassed!) I ate my protein shake again this morning - I NEED that extra protein in the morning but I'm usually not hungry. So I pared it back to just 1 cup of flax milk and 1 scoop, no extra milk or berries. Lunch is packed for today and I WILL cook dinner at home. Groupon for local mexican place is what I'm looking forward to on Friday! I think I will keep my goal as it is in writing but I'm going to visualize 193.6!
7/24 - Tuesday - 194.0 - Wooooo 100 days! I woke up feeling accomplished for what I thought was no reason but 100 days is an achievement! Waiting to hear back on the appraisal is a good test in stress management...been staying busy with house work to avoid obsessing - but still have not made a real dent in packing/moving anything. Will prioritize that soon. Had my protein shake this morning - packed lunches and took out steak tips to grill for dinner with sauteed broccoli and jasmine rice. Feeling super positive about how my habits are holding up. I'm finding success in each and every day, even when I'm not "perfect" - whatever that is!
7/25 - Wednesday - 193.0 - Ended up swapping french fries for the jasmine rice last night - but it wasnt take out! And we took the pup for a woods walk. A good morning - protein shake, lunches packed, general idea for dinner (leftover steak something or breakfast for dinner). Another day waiting to hear back on appraisal - got an update that it will most likely be on Thursday so more staying busy today! AHHH!!! Happy to be using libra weight trend tracking app - shows me that I'm still maintaining a downward trend at a rate of 1 lb/week even through all the ups, downs, and stand stills. Last time I was on this journey I was just pooping out around July/August - I told myself I had worked hard an needed a "break" and fell off the wagon almost completely because I was so sick of it all. This time I'm feeling more energized than ever and wanting to continue doing what I've been doing because its not punishing work its just my life now!

Day/Weight/Comment
07/17 - Weight = 159.0 (down .6 from yesterday) I'm *hopefully* solidly under 160 after 3 days of weighing under that. 1st milestone achieved! Very happy to get to this number, this is the lowest I've weighed this year, haven't been this weight since December of last year. Yesterday was super hot and humid and my day 29 exercise challenge was power yoga which was really like a hot yoga with the buckets of sweat that fell off me. Today I compete my 30 day challenge with a full body Tabata style workout. Looking forward to the next 10 days, this is the best challenge on mfp!
07/18 - Weight = 158.1 (down .9 from yesterday) I had Subway for lunch yesterday - UGH! I haven't had any type of fast food in over 30 days and wow did I feel awful after it. I limit gluten most days, because I just feel better when I do that, but add in processed gluten like Subway's bread and I was so nauseous I didn't eat anything else really the rest of the day because of how I felt, so super low calories day which isn't great. Exercise wise, the day was AWESOME!!! I completed day 30 of the 30 day challenge I was doing and it was a super intense Total Body Tabata workout: Star Jumps, Reverse Table Top Dips, Skater Twists, Supermans, Reverse Burpees, & Pike Push-Ups. I'm crazy pound of myself for completing this and the changes from it I can really see and more importantly feel, like how much stronger I am now compared to where I started. I've given myself 2 days "off" to have a little break and decide which program I am doing next, still trying to decide between another 30 day or the 90 day. I was fairly certain yesterday about going with the 30 but this morning I feel more like the 90 day program is in the lead.
07/19 - Weight = 157.8 (down .3 from yesterday) I'm tired! Did not get to bed until a little after 3 a.m. last night and up at little before 8 this morning. Sleep is so important, obviously for many reasons - but it really plays a part in hunger. I'm so hungry this morning and I do IF 16:8 so I don't eat until 10:30/11:00 a.m., which normally is no issue at all but today I'm counting down the minutes. Yes, I know I could just go ahead and eat earlier but this is my plan and I stick to it when possible and today it is possible...I'm just cranky from no sleep. I'm on the 2nd of my planned 2 day rests from exercise and I'm ready to get back at it tomorrow, might just start today if I can stay awake
07/20 - Weight = 160.7 (up 2.9 from yesterday) I'm not the slightest bit upset by this number, I know I did not gain 2.9 lbs overnight. I made a conscious, planned decision to have a dinner last night that put me over my calories for the day for the 1st time since I recommitted to my weight loss on 6/18. I didn't "cheat", these weren't "bad" foods, I wasn't "naughty", this is called life. I am focused on living a healthy life and know that part of that is moderation in everything so that this is sustainable for the long haul and sometimes that means being okay with making choices that are not part of my normal routine. As of today, my 2 exercise rest days are over and I am starting my new exercise plan today and I'm pretty excited about it. This one is a 90 day program compared to the 30 day I just finished. These are still all body weight exercises, but compared to the last program which was a new workout each day, in this one there are workouts that get repeated. I think I had such great results on the last one because my muscles got a new challenge each day but I think in this one I will be able to gauge my strength building better as I see how my ability to do certain moves changes over time. Have a great day everyone!
07/21 - Weight = 159.6 (down 1.1 from yesterday) Weight coming back down after the bump up from Thursday's dinner. I completed day 1 of 90 of my exercise challenge which was 3 sets of Body Squats, Push Ups, Stationary Lunges, Flowing Down Dog, Alternating Front Kick, Static V Sit, Fore Arm Plank and then got in a little extra calorie burn jumping at the trampoline park with my daughter and her friend. I was way too busy yesterday and my nutrition suffered from it. I left the house at 4:30 and wasn't back until after 9 so didn't get a real dinner. Was super hungry this morning so not doing IF today, nice solid breakfast in and feel much better and ready to get a great day in!
07/22 - Weight = 159.4 (down .2 from yesterday) Still working to get back down to Thursday's weight, was under calories yesterday but my sodium was a bit too high. My nutrition has not been on point this past week, so taking the time today to menu plan before shopping and then going to do a big meal prep later today for the upcoming week. Day 2 of 9 on my exercise challenge was a rest day but I'm just coming off 2 rest days so I took an active day. Went for a run in great weather, 84 degrees with a nice breeze, came back and did some much needed yoga stretches and then ended up doing a good Tabata workout later in the day. Only 4 more weigh-ins in this challenge, reaching my goal of the 157's might not be possible but I'm going to finish really strong!
07/23 - Weight = 159.2 (down .2 from yesterday) The scale is slowly inching back down. I had a great exercise day yesterday, went for a run, yoga stretches, and my day 3 of 90 challenge: Air Jump Rope, Tall Planks, Burpees, Cross Cross Squat, Crescent Kick Right, Crescent Kick Left, Jumping Jacks, Push-Ups. Nutrition wise I made good choices but did not eat enough, my calories were too low as I felt stuffed all day and not hungry. I got my meal prep in yesterday and will be focusing mainly on my nutrition this upcoming week. I feel like my exercise is under control but my nutrition not so much. I also looked back through my food diary and saw that I had alcohol 4 times last week, 2 nights only 1 glass, but still over where I want to be. So that is a focus also this week, alcohol only twice this week. I have a club meeting tomorrow evening, so I know I'll have a glass of wine there and will have to be extra diligent in the food choices I make, as everyone is bringing an appetizer. Today's goal: plan a healthy but super delicious app to take. On the super positive side...I took a selfie yesterday and didn't hate it. Since I gained weight, I have avoided pictures like the plague but I am trying to be kinder to myself during this weight loss journey and each week take a selfie to try and be okay with how I look along the way. Yesterday was the 1st day I achieved that goal, feels good!
07/24 - Weight = 159.0 (down .2 from yesterday) So Slooooow, but a loss is a loss. Yesterday was day 4 of 90 day challenge which was yoga and needed, I felt really stiff yesterday morning and now much better. Food wise, I ate according to plan and was under calories and in a good range for my macros. The blueberry protein muffins (gluten-free) that I made are delicious! My revised goal for this challenge is to be solidly in the 158's, 2 more weigh-in to go, I can do this!
07/25 - Weight = 157.4 (down 1.6 from yesterday) Whoosh, there it is! That number makes me really happy this morning Yesterday I completed day 5 of the 90 day exercise challenge and today is a scheduled rest day in the program. I had planned to get a run in, but it is a stormy day here. I like running in the rain but thunderstorms are a no go. I think I'll get in a Tabata workout instead to at least get some type of cardio, as I don't feel the need for this rest day. This plan has 2 rest days per week scheduled and I really only need 1 but I'll take the 2 if needed as the challenge progresses. Food wise, I skipped dinner last night to have a calorie buffer for eating at my club meeting last evening. I had 2 glasses of wine and I made an Asparagus & Gruyere Tart which I took and it was super good + had some other nibbly things there but didn't go overboard and logged it all and still was under calories for the day. Success! One more day left for this challenge, finish strong everyone!

7/21-93.1 - no change...
@3DCAKE, no change? Girl, you lost 100 pounds!7/25- 226.0 Yippee! Good day food wise. The universe heard my plea for a morale boost and 2 separate co-workers commented on my recent weight loss. No one had said anything prior to yesterday. One even called it drastic and asked what I was doing. I introduced her to MFP. 7/26
I'm glad you got your boost, @L2HS. I'll admit that I have mixed emotions about people noticing my weight loss, especially when they think I'm doing something other than counting my calories and moving my butt. Those conversations always get so awkward for me. I think I'm just weird, though.SheilaBoneham wrote: »7/25 - 147.6 - 1297 - 10-day ave 1405
Could it be that I'm losing now that I've decided maintenance is fine? Sure, why not? We shall see.

7/17 160.4 Last round was a yoyo but here we go again. Still having fun and enjoying the process. Not depriving myself but working on balance and being conscious of my choices.
7/18 160 Yay! I am so happy to get rid of that .4...This round should yield the 150's!!!
7/19 160 Is is cheating to take this though it was one of three weights when I stepped on the scale? Oh well, who cares, I am taking it!
7/20 159.8 Pretty good day even eating out at lunch. Enjoyed a nice morning shopping (mainly returning) and then lunch at True Food Kitchen, which has calorie counts listed on the menu! bonus! I estimated that they may be low when tracking, and stayed pretty much on target except for an extra spoon of chunky peanut butter, but it was just what I was craving.
7/21 158.2 Loving this big drop after last round's fail, though as I am learning the daily fluctuations are not the real indicator of overall loss. But still happy to see this number :-) I took the dogs for a walk before it got hot, and mostly stayed on target until after dinner. I have a weakness for sweets and "protein bars" are my current "legal" indulgence. I have a love hate relationship with them, because they are processed, not really that good, yet somewhat satisfy the craving and are measurable and semi non bingeable (as opposed to homemade cookies or scones, my former go-to for sweet tooth satisfaction) ***I just discovered and went for a Korean Scrub! Look it up and make it a reward! My skin is baby soft and it was such a unique experience!!***
7/22 159.4 Just got the HAPPY SCALE app, and for a data geek like me this is perfect! There are all sorts of way to track your progress and break the big goals down, love it! Thanks @MadisonMolly2017 for the recommendation! It tells me that if I continue at my current weight loss rate I will reach my final goal in 13 weeks. Love this!
7/23 WEIGH IN DAY 159 Yay! So happy to *FINALLY* be out of the 160's. To the 150's: I love you so much and appreciate your beauty, but am only passing through. I have been with you in the past, but its not where I want to live. I will be working hard to move on, and though I may occasionally visit in my future, it will only be a short one.
7/24 159 Pretty good day, feeling so much better about myself psychologically. I feel like in losing those first 10 or so lbs I am shedding negativity and gaining joy. I think it is because I am *mostly* in control. There is so little, actually nothing, that we can control in our lives. I am taught that lesson every day, but I can control what I put in my mouth, what thoughts I let in to my brain, and what I do physically with my body. On that note...Downloaded the C25K app...step one. I loved running until injuries stopped me, and now it's been 3 years since I've run. I miss the sweat, the endorphins, the zone. Now I have to start!
7/25 158.8 Good day mentally, the sun is shining a little more.

This time I'm feeling more energized than ever and wanting to continue doing what I've been doing because its not punishing work its just my life now!
@AJB1014, I think this is the key for me. I'm not punishing myself. I'm living my life in a sustainable way, with ups and downs. I'm nearing 30 pounds lost, not at any sort of rapid clip, but without really ever feeling that I'm doing something hard. I can't guarantee I'll never lose this mindset, but it's served me really well for almost 8 months.8 -

PROTEIN! (I can't find all the earlier posts about protein bars, etc., so I'm shouting instead of tagging....)
Anyway, I thought I'd comment on protein sources based on my 3.5 year journey, 70+ pounds lost and many lessons learned.... This might be useful for some of you looking for protein sources.
Protein bars - I have used them, and for a year or so I depended on them heavily to get my protein in -- Quest Bars
were my favorites because of high protein content and variety of flavors. But I finally realized that many of my digestive issues (read: panic!) were linked to the bars, even one a day. So I looked around for other good protein....
Let me say that I have no problem hitting my macro goals on average (I don't worry on a daily basis but look at a 7-day average). We all set different goals, but mine are P 15-25%, C 35-55%, F 25-35%. I have many meatless days, so allow for the extra carbs when my proteins are plant based (usually whole grains + beans or lentils).
Here are some of my favorite real-food protein sources....- - liquid egg white - 7 grams protein in 1/4 cup: I use them in a variety of ways but 3 favorites are -- 1/4-1/3 c. in my overnght muesli breakfasts, cooked as omelette or scrambled eggs (w/veggies & cheese), microwaved in bowl (1 min, add 1 oz good full fat cheese, 1 more min -- yum!).
- - Lifeway plain low-fat kefir - 3 gr per 1/4 cup: I use this in my overnight muesli instead of mixing yogurt + milk. I love the slight tang and the consistency. I also sometimes have berries in kefir - delish! (Stay away from the flavored kefirs - sugar city!)
- - canned wild salmon and tuna -- 6-7 gr protein per ounce. I prefer Wild Planet brand -- wild-caught salmon and skipjack tuna (which has less mercury than albacore). (Lots of info on their website about nutrition, fish quality, and sustainable fishing.) I usually eat a full can of skipjack (5 oz.) on a salad or mixed with guacomole + veggies + sometimes cooked egg white, or half a can of salmon the same way. Many ways to use these!
- - chicken breast -- 5 gr protein per ounce raw. My go-to recipe is to cook breasts in pan in a little olive oil & low-sodium soy sauce + quartered or chopped onions. I make extra to have the next day on salad. But obviously there are many ways to prepare chicken.
- - black beans - 7 gr protein per half cup. I use them everywhere! I buy canned, rinse them thoroughly in a colander to remove sodium and gunk, and store in fridge. I put them on salads, in "Buddha bowls" or brown rice or other whole grains, or just mix with half a cup of brown rice with raw veggies + salsa + sometimes guacamole or avocado. Hot or cold - very satisfying!
- - chick peas - 7 gr proetin per half cup - see brown rice above for uses
Also, it pays to check protein content of grains, veggies, milk products, etc. Many have more protein than you might imagine. Green peas, for instance, have 4 gr protein per half cup. Cheddar cheese has 7 grams protein per ounce. I always look at the whole picture for each food -- not just the protein, but also the carbs, ADDED sugars (I don't worry about natural sugars in milk products, for instance), fiber, fat....
OK, maybe TMI, but maybe of use to some of you. And now I am hungry!!!
I will add, though, that after 3+ years of avoiding most junk food, including all my old binge friends (nacho chips, candy bars - you know), I don't even want them for the most part, and when I do, a little bit does the trick. I walk a lot and often come home hungry, but instead of craving junk, I usually am either simply hungry (an ounce of cheese or a piece of fruit work), or I'm craving something healthful (and often when I check my MFP diary it turns out that what I'm craving is the macro I'm short on for the day - go figure!). So sticking to the plan pays off in many ways in my experience. And yeah, once in a while I blow it!14 -
tiabirdie56 wrote: »Thank you to everyone for your concern, comments and prayers for my Granddaughters friend and her Grandmother. The initial report was that they were victims of a drunk driver, but I learned later on in the day that that wasn't necessarily true. The police are investigating. All around tragedy. The mother of the little girl not only lost her only child, but her mother as well. The mother is a teacher at the daycare my granddaughter goes to, so she probably will not return. Her mother is gone, so no consoling factor for her grief. The woman that killed them is only 22 years old. For the rest of her life, she will live with the fact that she caused two peoples deaths. I dearly love children and I'm an emotional person, so yesterday was a crying day on and off until the end. So very sad.
I don't know if my granddaughter or any of the children at the daycare knows about what happened. My DIL was telling me that the daycare director seems to not want the parents to tell their kids. She wants to tell them when they are all together at the daycare. My DIL wants to tell my granddaughter, my son wants the daycare to handle it. I side with my DIL on this matter.
What a terrible tragedy. I agree with your DIL that is a parents job, not a daycare teachers.4 -
Round 47- 1st round
SW 175
UGW 140
7/17- 175
7/18- 175 had a frappe today 🙄 but still stayed in my calorie range!
7/19- 174 woohoo! Don't feel so bad about having the frappe yesterday lol
7/20- 174 Had 1 Henry's hard grape soda last night. Didn't finish it all (didn't really care for it), still stayed in my calorie range. Other than this all I ever drink is water and 1-2 cups of coffee per day 😊
7/21- 173 yayy! I do not have a digital scale, it's just a basic old fashioned scale so I am not sure how accurate it is but I am definitely seeing and feeling a difference 😊
7/22- 173 Last night when I completed my food/exercise diary for the day, said I would be at 164.6 in 5 weeks if every day was the same! Awesome
7/23- 173 My scale said 171 when I first stepped on it and then I stepped on it again it was 173. (Really need new ones lol) I was actually a good bit under my calorie goal yesterday, not purposely. Started zumba last night also!
7/24- 172 😊 I really need to work on balancing my calories out more, like not eating so many at dinner time. That is where half my calories get used and more sometimes. I am still staying under my goal though.
7/25- 171 I'm so happy the hard work is paying off. 4 lbs down in 8 days. I'll be honest, yesterday was tough. I was so hungry in between meals that it was hard not to binge eat, or eat a bunch of junk.12
