7/17 198.1 I didn't finish the last round. I was upset because I had gained weight and when I do gain weight I just go through a time where I just don't care about what I'm eating. I REALLY want to fix this and be more flexible and just because I have one bad day doesn't mean I should sabotage the rest of my days. On top of that my relatives had come over making it even harder to watch what I ate. So here's to getting back at it.

7/19- 196.6 thank god the 198 was just a fluctuation. I'm going to try to make sure I don't fluctuate anymore. I did an 18 hour fast today which I broke a little bit ago. I feel pretty full right now so I'm planning on this one big meal to be it for the rest of the day which I think is doable. I'm going to be really consistent the next few days and make sure to stay motivated. I'm going to meal prep and everything.
7/20- 196.7 I accidentally weighed myself AFTER I ate lol so I'd like to think that this number would be lower otherwise. But we'll see tomorrow. I worked out yesterday and again today so I'm happy about that. I've been increasing the amount of running I do (at 6.5 mph) by 10 second increments every time I go for a run. I'm at 3 minutes and 30 seconds of running currently and started at 3 minutes. I know it's not much but baby steps. I believe this is the right way to go about it. Maybe by the end of the challenge I can get to 4 minutes straight of running?
7/21- 194.7 (told you so about the water weight lol) So I worked out yesterday. I can't go to the gym today so no running until Monday but I'm going to try to do my mat exercises at night. I'll let you know how that goes. Already drank a half liter of water. Haven't had a proper breakfast. Going to go ahead and do that right now. I'm going to be under my calorie deficit today hopefully as well so that I can continue the downward trend. Really happy about this number. It motivates me to continue.
7/22 194.7 Was above my calorie limit yesterday. Won't be today. Couldn't get to my mat exercises either. Maybe tonight.
7/23 194.6. I was under my calorie goal so I'm not sure why I didn't lose a bit more. I have hope for tomorrow though. I ate light today and will be going to the gym soon.

7/25- 194.7- I thought I ate a too much so I'm fine with this. I ate something that I wasn't able to actually know how many calories there was in it. So I'm happy I didn't gain instead.
7/26 195.3 Honestly, at least I still had an overall loss (last round I basically gained). Starting weight was 198 and end weight is 195.3 so overall loss of about 2.8. I didn't do as well as I wanted but this next challenge I'm going to challenge myself. Reflection: I went to this local buffet with my brother a couple times in a the last ten days and I think this had a lot to do with the upward fluctuations in some of my weigh-ins even though I ate healthily at the buffet overall. In the next 10 days I'm going to challenge myself to NOT eat out AT ALL. I will preplan all of my food and follow through with it. It's harder to count calories when you go out and you're not sure how much there is in a certain food. It's actually immensely difficult. So my overall goal is to get to 191 by the end of the next ten days. My plan will be to preplan all of my foods. The next ten days is just going to be eating healthily and seeing results. I will workout at the gym at least 3 times a week, run for 4 minutes straight at 6.5mph by the end of the challenge (I can do 3.5 right now).5 -

7/19 - 254.0 ✅ I found myself eating whatever because I was tired
7/20 - 254.4 water first, eat more veggies ✅, be mindful - I did eat more veggies but was lax on the water. The salad I ordered from a gourmet food truck (best option) was a small portion and little protein ☹️ As a result, I overate when I got home and was not mindful in my choices.

7/20: 180.0 So, I was thinking about the show, My 600-lb Life, and how irritated I become when the people refuse to stick to the eating plan or refuse to exercise. And then I had an epiphany. OMG – I am them. This is my fifth round and I’ve only lost 6-ish pounds (it was 8 a couple of days ago, but here I am). I convince myself that eating utter garbage, food-like substances is ok as long as I’m within goal. Or I exercise enough to cover the overage. Honestly, WHEN will I learn. What would Dr. Now say? I imagine people throwing things at their screens and sighing in disgust if I was on some kind of weight loss show. Where do I get the nerve to judge other people when I have not mastered the seemingly simple task of eating well and moving more? Time to smarten up!!! But will I … stay tuned!!!
7/21 180.4 – Wrong direction, Mr. Scale!!! Ate relatively well today and managed to get in my 10,000ish steps. Hope the scale takes that into consideration in the morning.
7/22 180.2 – Very slight downward movement. Hoped for a teeny bit more but I’ll take what the scale gods have to offer. Some much needed rain for the grass today. Temptation is great to be super lazy but will work on getting at least 10,000 steps today.

26/07: 168.2 : Goals ✅ I had such a good day yesterday, and am just so delighted that I have lost 5.4lbs this Round, even if it was holiday baggage. I have reminded myself of how focused I need to be to achieve my goals.
THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

I was doing this for a while, went away when I got frustrated, and am now coming back to it. I feel more focused now.

7/24/2018: 103.6 Okay- 2 weeks in a row, last week I saw this number as well (like on wed/thur). I am SUPER happy that I've been able to make a change in myself.
<> What I have been doing is practicing. Practicing NOT eating in between meals.
<> Specifically, eating LUNCH and then nothing until my evening meal. Instead, I have been going on a walk, or popping on here, or posting on FB etc. doing some other mindless task that doesn't involve food.
This practice has been hard, but with each passing day the practice becomes easier. I remind myself that everything is hard when you start, but the more you practice , the easier it gets!
7/17/2018: 104.6 - I can always tell when it's Tuesday because my weight is more in check. somehow I build momentum up on Friday late afternoon and keep it up for 4 days and then have treats.... SO, I've admitted and defined my cycle of eating. Now I need to make an improvement.
One thing I've been doing is listening to a podcast: primal potential (dot com) and I have a sign on my desk stating "to make tomorrow easier, WHAT do I need to do TODAY?" and I am reminding myself "My minimum needs are met. I am OKAY. I just need to make it through the next 5 minutes. I can make it 5 more minutes. I'm Okay. I am Safe. I am good. I love myself enough to take care of myself."

7/18 - Not weighing in today. Took caliper measurements, on point. Took waist measurement - on point. So I'm happy. Leg day this morning. Felt really good. Hoping for a couple walks. Tracked my breakfast. Goal is to hit 1200cal for the day and stop.
7/19 - 103.6 I AM going to do what it takes to stay at this number. This means most likely that I will watch my food intake UBER closely the next several days. No nibbling/eating only at meals is helping a LOT.
7/20 - Thought to ponder today. What are you choosing? If you choose to eat this food or that food, what are you choosing NOT to have? If your choice is to have a slice of pizza or some orange chicken, then I am choosing to have a side of regret, or am I? How many bites could I have of the pizza and still be in bliss but not cross the line to say "I suck!, I shouldn't have had any!" I'm pondering, I wonder where my line is. Certainly there is a line where I can just say "that was great. I'm so glad I had it". I wonder where it is? Also, I am thinking, If I would choose the pizza, then I am also choosing to NOT pursue a lower weight for tomorrow. In actuality, by having that food, I know that I am choosing to deal with other food cravings, mental bashing and with thoughts of how can I be so out of control. However, if I choose a healthier food, like an apple or something, a protein smoothie perhaps. Then I am choosing to have a clearly focused mind that doesn't dwell the whole day on food and what I should/shouldn't eat. Today is a GREAT day, or NOT...the choice is YOURS!

I am NOT going to throw in the towel because today I have stuck to my menu SO far and, I know I can make it ALL the WAY today and have an AMAZINGLY healthy day! I am less bloated, mentally more happy and my MOOD is a TON better without the NEGATIVE energy on processed foods!1 -
