Why is it that a couple of days off make you lose SOOOOOOO much endurance in pushups?!
1/8 2.5km run + 14/10/10/10/11 = 55 full pushups.
2/8 3.2km swim + 90s POH + 60s POE + 30 squats.
3/8 17/12/11/11/13 = 64 full pushups + 40 squats + 1min45s POH.
4/8 rest day.
5/8 21/16/13/11/13 = 74 full pushups. My first set is improving but still need better endurance! 6/8 2.05km swim
7/8 unexpected 12 hour day at work so nothing.
8/8 2.7km swim + 2min POH + 1min15 POE.1 -

08/08 did a load of push ups during boxing class last night, and my arms are jelly this morning. I think it'll take a few weeks to build up strength so I can do my exercises at home after a class.

I did a test this morning ... I can do a single BK on floor push-up (but not 2) OR 4 BK on the hearth ledge (only 6" up from floor level, less than 1/2 the height of the 13" windowsill level) So it looks like my progression strategy is paying off. One standard pushup (straight legs at floor level) may actually happen by the end of the month .... so long as I keep working at the in-between stages ...

@BMcC9 oh nice, is that step challenge on MFP? I'm not getting my steps in this week, but would be interested once I'm back from holiday.
There is a regular, starts at the beginning of each month, Step Challenge thread (like this one where you set your personal target). That one can be joined at any time, and you set your personal target for the month to take into account the number of days still available.
I a part of the ongoing Fat2Fit Challenge/Support thread, which divides into individual teams with their own chat-room threads, with co-captains, for more small-group encouragement-support -cheering. Weekly weigh-ins are compiled and "team vs team" who lost most lbs / largest % change. Individual high-achievers are also recognized each week. (Registrations open for September soon, and you can request to be placed on my team if you are interested.)
The 10-day step challenge I am in involves 8 people from each team, who all post their step count and team affiliation. The team standing is based on Averaging all 8 entries per day. So if someone doesn't post at all, their entry is zero, which brings down the entire team's average.1 -
