Yepp... a classic.
Nope! Those are yucky. Keep that nastiness away from me. :sick:0 -
My brother's MIL makes pull apart pumpkin dinner rolls that are to die for. You barely taste the pumpkin, I'd say they are very slightly sweet, but it makes them super doughy. Kind of like these, but she doesn't waste time putting seeds on them. I could eat all of them, with butter, one sitting.

A roll should be yeasty, not sweet! Yes, I am biased.1

King's Hawaiian has its place... In my family it is typically backyard BBQs, used to soak up the baked beans. Just don't bring the orange pack to Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter.2 -

Legit question - are yeasty and sweet mutually exclusive? I don't know how to categorize "yeasty", I am such a bad carbaholic.0 -

For the most part I agree, but have a soft spot in my heart for KH (pun intended)1 -

In my mind they are. A roll can be yeasty, like a dinner roll. Or sweet, like a cinnamon roll. But they cannot be some Frankenstein's monster of both, like King's Hawaiian!2 -

Nope! A biscuit can cross over into honey and jam territory, but not dinner rolls. (I fully admit I'm weird. )
I don't even like Texas Roadhouse's honey butter on their rolls. No sweet stuff on dinner rolls!1 -

hmmm... I do have to agree with you. The dinner rolls I posted are saved for soaking gravy and smeared with butter. Ciabatta rolls with honey though >>>2 -

Diet tip #35 anything with cinnamon in or on is calorie free because the health benefits negate any calories 🤣😂
