Successes/struggles of the week: Wow, it’s already September! Weather is starting to cool off, so I am quite happy about that - means more time outdoors walking the dogs or running around.
Lots of stressors at the moment (new school program, new job, home purchase, family member military deployment, international travel planning), but I am trying my best to stay grounded. Taking it one day at a time. Just have to keep reminding myself that eating my feelings won’t make the stress go away.

Not worrying about it yet, though I'm hoping that I won't have too much water weight retention this coming week, as I've got a few meals out planned.6 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I haven't been on the maintenance thread in a while, and even though I've managed to stay within range, for the past month I've been at the top end, which is annoying. I started a more intense workout routine, so I'm surprised by the weight gain. I've been eating healthily but not really low calorie, plus I've started lifting and I have gotten comments about being more toned, so it could be some beginner muscle gain. Either way, I'd like to stop my weight from creeping up any more.7 -

When you start a new workout program you will see an increase in weight for a few weeks as your body holds onto extra water for muscle repair. You'll find it'll settle down soon.5 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I met my weight goal in early August and switched over to maintenance. Right after switching over, I went on holiday for a few weeks to Japan (to visit my daughter who is living there). I had a wonderful time, enjoyed all kinds of delicious food, saw all sorts of great places, walked TONS and figured I would deal with any gains when I got home since I wasn't tracking at all. And when I stepped on the scale at the end of August - I was exactly the same weight as when I left!
Now I am back home, back to tracking, and looking forward to being part of this challenge.7 -

Haven't been participating the last couple months but I'm back. I think this helps me stay accountable. I haven't been logging my food the last few weeks, but instead keeping a pen and paper food diary (just jotting down what I'm eating, not weighing or measuring). I'm trying to figure out how to maintain my weight without tracking my calories. I find counting calories to be too obsessive and soul-sucking lol.
I'm happy to see my weight jump back down. It had been creeping up the past several months.7 -

And I am challenging myself to do Power Yoga 4 x week.... it's not just about the weight -- it's about the health and being active.8 -

Struggles/successes: Back to work! In some ways good to be back to routine. But my goodness starting workouts at 5am is tough! And it’s dark and starting to get cold which makes it even harder. I saw some crazy weight spikes and realised the huge difference it makes that I’m now weighing myself so much earlier in the morning. I know logically that weight fluctuates and I’m currently below my range. But I also know when I see a big ‘gain’ it can mess with my head and send me off track so I’ve decided to make Saturday my weigh-in day instead of Friday. It means I can weigh later in the morning and will stop my typical Friday night end of week celebratory munchies hopefully!

Successes/struggles of the week: Saving for the closing costs on this house has me quite strict on the food purchases these days. In a way, it makes Maintenance very easy because I won’t let myself have the spare cash to get a quick snack at work - I only eat what’s in my lunch bag! The trick is to buy the right stuff to put in the lunch bag... making progress there!

Didn't ever get over 151.0. When I started my journey, my initial ending goal was about 150 pounds. If I had kept that goal, I would be right in my goal range. I revised it down to 145, so I am trying to see 150 as a success even though it's clearly outside of my current maintenance range of 142 - 148.

I'm clearly outside my maintenance range this week, and I need to tighten up to keep from regaining any more.

I "gained" .8 lbs early in the week and "lost" 1.6 lbs between yesterday and today - I know it's water weight on both accounts, but it's still always a struggle to deal with big fluctuations even while staying within my maintenance range.9 -

Success/Struggles: Labor day BBQ plus eating out several times is challenging! I expect it will catch up with me over the next week when I gain a pound or two. Most of it will be water weight, since I didn't grossly overeat, but too much was wine, and that can cause me to go through a dehydrate/bloat cycle.
