Struggles/successes: Back to work! In some ways good to be back to routine. But my goodness starting workouts at 5am is tough! And it’s dark and starting to get cold which makes it even harder. I saw some crazy weight spikes and realised the huge difference it makes that I’m now weighing myself so much earlier in the morning. I know logically that weight fluctuates and I’m currently below my range. But I also know when I see a big ‘gain’ it can mess with my head and send me off track so I’ve decided to make Saturday my weigh-in day instead of Friday. It means I can weigh later in the morning and will stop my typical Friday night end of week celebratory munchies hopefully!

Successes/struggles of the week: Saving for the closing costs on this house has me quite strict on the food purchases these days. In a way, it makes Maintenance very easy because I won’t let myself have the spare cash to get a quick snack at work - I only eat what’s in my lunch bag! The trick is to buy the right stuff to put in the lunch bag... making progress there!

Success of the week:
Didn't ever get over 151.0. When I started my journey, my initial ending goal was about 150 pounds. If I had kept that goal, I would be right in my goal range. I revised it down to 145, so I am trying to see 150 as a success even though it's clearly outside of my current maintenance range of 142 - 148.
Struggle of the week:
I'm clearly outside my maintenance range this week, and I need to tighten up to keep from regaining any more.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight was fluctuating all over the place this week. I "gained" .8 lbs early in the week and "lost" 1.6 lbs between yesterday and today - I know it's water weight on both accounts, but it's still always a struggle to deal with big fluctuations even while staying within my maintenance range.9 -

9/2 -- I am staying around 127.... I am making progress -- no more 130's! YAY! I'm doing the "Just Give Me 10 Days" challenge -- so I guess I'm not really in maintenance if I'm trying to lose -- but I like this group!! Anyway, I'm hoping to hit 125 this month...or even 124! And I am challenging myself to do Power Yoga 4 x week.... it's not just about the weight -- it's about the health and being active.

Success/Struggles: Labor day BBQ plus eating out several times is challenging! I expect it will catch up with me over the next week when I gain a pound or two. Most of it will be water weight, since I didn't grossly overeat, but too much was wine, and that can cause me to go through a dehydrate/bloat cycle.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Lots of special events this week (anniversary, family birthday, fall potluck) which meant my tracking was a lot of guesswork but it went OK. Of course, it might have helped that I chipped a back tooth this weekend so could only eat soft food as it bothered me to chew anything. Guess I will be calling the dentist tomorrow. But it did make staying within my calorie goals at the potluck a lot easier!6 -

Success/ Struggles of the week:
Nothing really just happy my weight is going down a little bit with NO CALORIE COUNTING! I'm just using my knowledge of portion sizes and trying to stick to set meal times, no grazing. I eat my 3 meals, plus one afternoon snack and maybe another snack in the evening but only if I'm hungry. It's working so far! My weight has gone from 157 to 155 in a month. Trying to get down to the low end of my maintenance range.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week/month: I'm bumping down my range. Want to make it official for myself. I feel better when I'm staying in the lower range, although i don't want to replace majority of my pants and shorts. Many of them are getting baggy, but it was one of my goals to get leaner legs. I'm quite happy with my progress, so i will continue to work towards that. Also, I'm trying to clean up my bedtime routine, and the first step is pretty much accomplished. I'm not dependent on any screen time to fall asleep. My phone goes on the charger far enough away from me when i go to bed. And I'm able to fall asleep pretty quick and i have completely ditched melatonin. Next, i need to commit to an earlier bedtime.14 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight has been up quite a bit this week, but I'm trying not to worry about it as I had several meals out throughout the week and was estimating what I ate quite a bit. This week's success though is that I've now been in maintenance (officially) for 6 months. I'm trying to do a bit of a recomp, and my plan is to maintain for a year and then reassess at that point whether to continue to maintain at this weight range (I'm at the bottom end of normal BMI) or to try to add on a few pounds (ideally in muscle).8
