Thank you.
YOUR WELCOME ALL PROGRESS IS GOOD PROGRESS AS LONG AS YOU FEEL GOOD, HAVE LOTS OF ENERGY AND ARE HEALTHY AND WELL. THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS. MY LAST CHECK UP WITH MY DOCTOR WAS AMAZING THEY TOLD ME I AM AS HEALTHY AS A HORSE/ I WILL ALWAYS HAVE MY DIGESTIVE AND ARTHRITIC ISSUES, BUT I AM DEDICATED TO THIS LIFELONG JOURNEY TO HEALTH AND WELLNESS ONCE I REACH MY WEIGHT LOSS GOAL. THE ONLY GOAL WILL BE TO MAINTAIN AND STAY HAPPY STRESS-FREE AND FOCUSED.
Some would argue that good progress also includes being able to lose it in a sustainable manner that you can maintain. Anorexics feel good when they eat ~900 calories or less a day, but it doesn't make it healthy. (I'm not calling you anorexic. I'm just saying that how you "feel" doesn't necessarily give any indications as to your actual health status.)
Does your doctor know you are eating so few calories?
YES, MY DOCTORE IS AWARE OF MY CALORIE INTAKE THEY ARE ALSO AWARE OF MY WORKOUTS AS WELL. THEY ARE THE ONES THAT TOLD ME TO EAT MORE IF I BURN OVER THE 400 CALORIES A DAY SO ON THE 1 OR 2 DAYS A WEEK THAT I DECIDED TO BURN 500-750 CALORIES A DAY I MADE SURE TO CONSUME MORE TO HELP MY BODY HEAL. I HAD A PERSONAL TRAINER AND A NUTRITIONIST 6 YEARS AGO WHEN I WENT ON A WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY AND I LOST 100 LBS, ACHIEVING MY GOAL OF 150 LBS AT 5'6 HIGH IN 8 MONTHS AND I MAINTAINED THE WEIGHT LOSS FOR 4 YEARS. IT WAS IN THE LAST FEW YEARS THAT I STARTED TO GAIN IT BACK, DUE, TO THE HORRIFIC PAIN OF MY RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS THAT I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH, I ALREADY HAD OSTEOARTHRITIS WHEN I WAS ON MY PREVIOUS JOURNEY WHICH WAS MANAGEABLE. BUT THIS NEW ONE WAS MORE PAIN THAT I EVER EXPERIENCED IT EVERY DAY ALL DAY ALL NIGHT RELENTLESS. I HIT A LOW BECAME DEPRESS, SLEEP DEPRIVED AND NO LONGER HAPPY WITH LIFE, FAMILY, FRIENDS OR WORK. I HIT ROCK BOTTOM AND THEN SOMEONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS LOW FODMAP PLAN SAID IT WOULD ALEVE MY PAIN AND ALSO HELP ME WITH MY MANY DIGESTIVE ISSUES. SINCE IT STARTED THIS I SLEEP A FULL 8 HOURS EVERY NIGHT, I HAVE ENERGY, I TOOK TIME OFF WORK TO MENTALLY HEAL AND FOCUS ON MY HEALTH AND STAYED REGIMENTED ON REGULAR CHECKUPS. TRUST ME I WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING TO HARM MYSELF ALL I HAVE EVER BEEN FOCUSED ON WAS FEELING WELL.5 -
THIS BOARD WAS CREATED SO EVERYONE COULD SPEAK OUT AND SHARE THEIR INDIVIDUAL JOURNEYS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS WHETHER THEY WERE MEDICALLY SUPERVISED, OR NONE MEDICALLY SUPERVISED IF THEIR GOAL WAS TO GAIN WEIGHT, LOSE WEIGHT, RESET THEIR DIGESTIVE TRACK, GET FIT TO FEEL BETTER. WHATEVER IT MAY BE. I AM NOT HERE TO PROMOTE WHAT I DO OR SUGGEST THAT OTHERS DO WHAT I DO, THIS MY MY HEALTH AND WELLNESS JOURNEY WHICH HAS WORKED FOR ME AND IT'S BEEN MEDICALLY SUPERVISED.11

1000 calories a day isn't enough to get adequate nutrition. You need at least 1200 PLUS what you burn exercising.
NO, MY EYES ARE BAD BECAUSE I AM HAVE A STIGMATISM THAT HAS DIMINISHED MY ABILITY TO SEE ANY DETAIL OUT OF MY RIGHT EYE. MY OTHER EYE DOES ALL THE WORK SO I DO WHAT I CAN TO NOT STRAIN IT. THUS THE CAPS LOL. I AM VERY WELL FED AND I EAT LOADS OF HEALTHY FOOD.
You know you can increase the font size on your phone/computer, right?16 -

This board also has rules, and promoting a VLCD violates one of them.
PS: You use all caps in your replies because your eyes are bad, but how are
you reading everyone’s replies?

To be honest, I find shocking that a qualified medical professional thinks it's OK to eat 1000 calories and work out. You're not talking about under eating for a couple of days, but so far for two months. I'd be worried, not just for the short and long terms physical effects, but because under eating could become your new way of life. Could you talk to a different Dr.?10

Just reading on your profile 'Previously having an amazing trainer and nutritionist gives me the knowledge and tools to get me where I need to be with' I'm thinking in the Dr. you mention is indeed someone who is calling him/herself a nutritionist but it isn't, since this profession it isn't regulated in some countries and there are some cowboys out there. Please, check with a qualified nutritionist, because that diet doesn't sounds right and could have nasty consequences long term. Take care of yourself.8

That's a really low calorie intake (1000-1200) and a very fast rate of loss. There's a reason MyFitnessPal won't give you a target below 1200 - it's too low for basically everyone unless they're on a diet supervised by a physician. I know it can be hard to get enough calories on Low FODMAP, but you really should try to eat more. If you haven't seen a dietitian, do that. It's highly discouraged by professionals in the field to do the diet without guidance from a dietitian because nutrient deficiencies can occur and many people struggle to eat enough. It's also not meant to be a long-term diet; it's an elimination diet and you begin reintroducing foods and testing reactions after 2-6 weeks. Have you started reintroduction?3

Hmmm, I think the 1% per week is where health concerns begin. So if you're 300+ lb, 3 lb per week is probably OK. Past that and start watching for hair to thin out.1

If you have such a hard time reading smaller type, then how are you reading everyone elses responses? It shouldn't matter your responses being in all caps since you are the one typing it. Please use normal capitalization. It makes it very difficult to read. Increase your font size in your browser if you need to have the font larger.6

Melissa thank you for sharing, your plan sounds sustainable. I like it especially since your getting exercise, I need to add it back into my routine my days are so HECTIC but I will try with two days and see where to go from there.
Can I ask does eating the way you do help manage your digestive issue, as in make it better/more manageable?
Thanks again and keep up the good work, you've inspired me to keep, keeping on my path? 😉🤗19 -

I will respond to this in small caps since everyone has an issue with me typing in caps. Yes, the plan has helped my digestive issues a lot it has changed my life! this will be my last response since everyone seems to think what I am doing is harming myself and my doctor does not. I am glad you are motivated to continue your journey. I think I will keep my journey to myself from now on.7 -
