And I'd go for the creme brulee!3

Molten lava cake for the win4

Your mother isn’t stupid.
You should have looked at the nutritional information BEFORE you ate 3/4 of a cake.
Now wash your mouth and go to your room.22 -

But before assuming that, sit down, explain how many calories you can eat in a day, and then explain the caloric content of some commonly used foods, like a pat of butter. Make up a few meal plans and share them with her.
Mom ain’t the one who ate it11 -

For that many calories you can get a slice of cheesecake factory cheesecake with whipped cream in any flavor you like. Imagine wasting that many calories on a crappy grocery store brownie.1 -

I'm not sure how that many calories is even possible unless it's made of cheesecake flavored neutron star. Seriously, that size piece of straight up butter would not have a tenth that many calories.4 -

The Cheesecake Factory could win awards for the most calorie dense yet edible dish - and not even their deserts that are the most mind boggling creations (though their Oreo milkshake is more than my net calories for the day at 1,680 calories). You too can have an 1,800 calorie meatloaf or the ironically named Cajun Chicken "Littles" that are 2,150 calories.5 -
OH MOMS, they mean well3

I'm guessing they're on the huge side for a 'single serving.'0 -
My dessert 😋 970 cal so half tonight and half tomorrow (pumpkin cheesecake)
I love cheesecake so much, but I'm always SO MAD when I order one and it's not worth the calories. The last three I've got in restaurants or stores were a sad waste of calories.collectingblues wrote: »I’m finally getting cake!
My half is tomorrow. So carbs. Or something like that.
I wouldn't even go for the cake in that. That crisp sounds delicious.
The crisp was tempting. But I’d been craving cake, and I can’t *find* gluten free cake in mainstream places.3 -
Bingo! I love creme brûlée, but I can get that anywhere!0 -
Didn't read the whole thread so apologies if someone already referred to the ingredient list.
This cake has flour, sugar, whole eggs, oil, cream cheese, marscapone cheese, heavy cream, a mixture of berries, apricot puree, etc. Lots of high calorie ingredients. https://m.wholefoodsmarket.com/shop/NEW/3202/27925/nutrifacts/27925/0
It is listed as having 8 serving with one being 660 calories so 5,280 calories total. Something does not have to be dense in texture to be very calorie dense. Look up things like cake before you eat a bunch of it even if someone tells you it is 400 calories.
Most of us have probably been shocked by some food. Learn from this.

Okay, you're gonna have to hook me up with that creme brulee....0 -
I think I’d feel pretty sick to my stomach if I ate 3/4 a cake.
That said it seems pretty silly to blame your mom for the fact that you ate 3/4ths the cake without checking the nutrition information. Typical ingredients for cakes are pretty calorie dense.
I actually ate cake my grandmother made last week (she made a sheet cake, ate one slice, and gave the rest to us). I know it had to be in the range of 400-600 per slice. It was yummy and I have no regrets.10 -

Is that a very large dollop of cream, or a very small slice of cheesecake?
My early birthday treat yesterday (in lieu of cake) was a Fatburger milkshake. 980 calories of creamy deliciousness that is surprisingly filling, and worth every calorie in my book! I just don't have more than one a year...7 -
I'm on a diet...better eat an entire cake then blame my mom on the internet.
Here is an idea...why dont you share this post with your mom...then you won't have to worry about her buying you food anymore.25 -

I know the OP isn't coming back because strangers on the internet didn't Wade in and name call his mummy but for other petulant teens hovering if mummy brings you a cake at 400 calories thank her for being kind and go check the info out yourself, your mummy bought smart phones have Google
And remember the saying "if it sounds too good to be true then it usually is"16 -
