I will admit that it isn't helpful when you keep seeing delicious food but.... you have to man up! take responsibility! they aren't shoving that food literally down your throat are they? no no no no no! don't blame others for something you should be controlling yourself! if you always do that you'll have to be a hermit at home with no friends and no access to the outside world! I mean with that logic, what happens when you walk down the street and see a mcdonalds advertisement? or to the left, a burger king one.... you have to have self control and more than anything, you should be looking at your friends as driving you away from those things. Pushing you to realize that you have a problem!

While I quite agree that blaming your friends for your lack of weight loss is a bit over the top, I can totally understand deleting friends that are not providing the motivation that you need. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and if food porn is a weakness for you, then it's best to be rid of it. Good luck to you!
It sounded like a request for friends that would not fill his news feed with food porn, not an announcement. Though it could have been worded a little better, I honestly don't see why everyone is taking offense. If all those with the negative posts (and that includes the food porn) are from his friends list, then I completely understand why the OP deleted them. If not, then it's fairly bizarre that they'd care so much.0 -
