JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS - ROUND 60

I derailed myself last year undoing a lot of good work. After a long absence from myfitnesspal I am back on track. This 10 day challenge seems like something I can do. I joined with Round 57. This is my 4th consecutive round. The less said about round 58 the better. Round 59, however, was a big success.

Pre-challenge SW: 313 lbs (started back at myfitnesspal Oct 1st. Down 15 lbs in the 3 weeks prior to round 57)
SW for the round 57 challenge: 298 lbs (I have a photo to prove it, I'll take a new one at the start of every week)
GW sometime in 2020: 195 lbs (several beautiful Italian double-breasted suits await me)

SW for this round: 293 lbs.
GW for this round: 289 lbs (drop 4 lbs)

Day 02. 11/25 293 lbs. No change. I wonder about the sodium content of the chicken and cheese quesadilla I had yesterday. And the two pieces of chocolate I snuck when no one was looking.

Down 0 lb so far this 10 day challenge.
Down 5 lbs so far on challenges (I plan on doing more of them).
Down 20 lbs total since I came back to myfitnesspal.
98 lbs to go to where I want to be: 195 lbs, the weight at which I got married

Did better this last round, but Thanksgiving ended me kind of high. Saw 152 and 153 last round but couldn’t stay consistent. Bounced around a lot between those and 155. So my goal this round is to get 152 consistently by the end of this round. No vacations or holidays, so I should be able to focus more the next couple of rounds. I know I still have to live life and half of this journey is learning how to live and enjoy life, but at the same time not over indulging all of the time. So here is to round 60, good luck everybody!

11/24 156.7 better than my 158 yesterday but still higher than I would have liked to see. I knew it was going to be rough this weekend. My son and his girlfriend are leaving today to go back to school. So we are having a fairwell lunch at this bbq place. Going to try and do well today and hopefully at least get back under 155 by Monday.
11/25 - 158.9 ouch! This 4 day weekend was just about as bad as my vacation a couple weeks ago. Back on track Monday morning. Hopefully I can drink lots of water and do half way decent today. Still tons of leftovers though in the house. So glad tomorrow is Monday and I can get back on schedule. Had an amazing holiday though and that’s what’s important.

I would like to join! I began seriously trying to lose weight April 9, 2018. I started logging all my food and working out. So far I have lost 37 pounds and I am so proud. But I have slacked off in the last 6 weeks or so and lost very little. I’m ready to step it up again and lose some more. I will log in the morning after I weigh in.

At the end of November 2017 I weighed in at 21.5 stone/136kg/300lbs - Since then I have lost 45.5kg/6.5 stone/91lbs and I have ran a marathon.

I had been posting on this page from January till June and it was absolutely incredible, the level of support and accountability made me feel so welcome.

But anyway I'm back to try and lose another 10kg+ and try and get down to a competitive weight to aid my cycling and running.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.

• Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
• A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
• Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
• The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
• Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
• The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
• When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
• Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

11/24 - 245.8..made cake and cupcakes for my sons birthday today, and got into the cupcakes. They were yummy! We're still both sick but excited for his party today. Definitely going to be another high calorie day, but I'm going to enjoy it and then get back on track tomorrow.
11/25 - 245.8..took the day off as planned yesterday and enjoyed my sons birthday. Back at it today though.
11/26 - 243.8...weighed 3 times and it was the same but I still don't believe it. I did not get back on track yesterday as planned and ate at probably around maintenance. Possibly dehydrated as I only had 50 oz of water I think. Still sick and wanting to eat bad things but I will not do it today!!!

Well I pretty much suck!!!!! As usual, did not finish last round, heck I even managed to gain 3 pounds!

My goal for this round is to finish the whole round by weighing and posting every day, good or bad. That’s it, that’s the goal! If I lose that’s great, if I gain, boo, but I WILL post everyday.
