Thank you @GrandmaJackie! It does make sense. Thank you for putting it down. I have been trying to explain it to the client and have not been successful. After you saying that, that is what I have been trying to say! Now even I understand it better.

My goal is just to track my food every day for these 10 days.
Day/Weight/Comment
12/24 - 199.5 I logged my food even if it wasn't pretty.
12/25 - 200 all the sweet treats are gone! back to the gym tomorrow
12/26 - 200 seeing the high % of carbs in my diet (due to sugar) has been illuminating! Grocery shopping tomorrow, and aiming to just NOT buy the treats that get me into trouble. I know it's cliche, but I'm looking forward to the "New Year, New Me" restart.
12/27 - 196.5 phew!
12/28 - 197 Physically prepared to eat healthy to ring in the new year... mentally already missing sugar. I went grocery shopping and the only carbs in the cart were for my husband and were things I don't enjoy. Wish me luck!
12/29 - 200 Had an almost perfect day, food-wise! Pounds are up, but it's ok. I'm about a week away from an IVF egg retrieval.
12/30 - 196 there we go! Hitting my macros today, yay! Family dinner tomorrow, and I have to decide ahead of time if I'll let myself eat some dessert.
12/31 - 196.5
01/01 - 195 Happy New Year! I prepped good food for my return to work tomorrow. My goal for the next three days is to stay on top of my water, because it's hard while I'm at work.

01/01- Day 1 Healthy eating, had a good breakfast, and then went for a long walk and tripped on a water shut off , I think I did something to the knuckle on my hand it is like there is a golf ball that is how swollen it is , my knee is super big and is bruised and cut. Bruised wrist and sore hip. Continued to eat proper meals.

I plan on doing what I should tomorrow. I do have a challenge at work. I have cut the protein shakes because of the dairy in them that I am trying to give up. I am also doing IF. I don't get a regular break, but I will set aside 15 minutes early enough for lunch to eat or bring my food along to eat at the facility where client eats at. I just hope that is ok to do. I always get flack with whatever I do around food. It is soooo annoying.
I had to cut dairy but needed a protein powder so I switched to a vegan one. Dairy free, soy free, gluten free. Taste isnt as great but can be dressed up just as well with some berries and almond milk, or just vanilla almond milk.3 -

How is it sodium wise and which one do you use? I was thinking of doing this possibly, too.

I use Garden of Life Raw Organic Meal. 140 mg of sodium. 120 calories/serving, 20 g of protein, 8 g carbs, 2 g fat.

Go @salleewins! It's a new year, a new opportunity, and we were made to be successful! Thanks for reminding me I have to go to work tomorrow, and I need to pack a lunch. I'll pull something out of the freezer to heat in the microwave. I only work January to mid-April (my retirement job to earn cruising money ), so I'm out of practice!2

I’m back again for another round. I’m still just working on maintenance for this round. Lots of family in town and we have Christmas and New Years. My goal would be to end this round at 151 or 150. Round 64 is when I will be back on track and hopefully be in the 140 decade finally! Good luck everyone.
SW: 178
End R62: 152.3
Day/Weight/Comment
12/24 - 153.0 up a little from last round, but started doing all the cooking for our Christmas Eve dinner so completely not a surprise.
12/25 - 155.0 up some more. Drank a lot of beer and ate a lot of food yesterday. Had an amazing time with all the family though. I’m glad I get to go back to work tomorrow and get back on schedule. Love the holidays, but glad I am done with Christmas this year.
12/26 - 156.3 Up some more. Wow 4 pounds in 3 days. Hopefully it is a lot of water weight and sodium and just crap that I normally don’t eat that will get out soon. I think I gained 6 pounds over Thanksgiving so I guess 4 isn’t terrible. Sucks being over 155 again though. Back at work today and lots of water and clean food is what I have planned. Oh well, it happens once a year, so I will suck it up and take it for what it is.
12/27 - 153.7 going back down. Did well yesterday. Drank lots of water and stayed on track for the most part. Did have some friends stop by unexpectedly and had a couple of drinks with them. I think this would have been a little lower if not for that. Hopefully I will see that 151 or 152 tomorrow. I am just counting the days until these holidays are over, lol.
12/28 - 152.3 Half way through this round and going back in the right direction. I'm back where I was at the end of the last round, so can't complain. One more weekend of entertaining, food, drinks, and fun. Then I am back going full force. I so want to be in the 140's already. I have been so close this entire month. Next round for sure, hopefully, lol!
12/29 - 151.8 and we continue to get back to my 2 week pre-holiday festivities. Hopefully I can do good today and maintain through this weekend. Glad to know I didn’t do to much damage.
12/30 - 152.4 had a couple of drinks with my husband for the ufc fights last night. Ate under calories, but I could have made better choices. Also did a little LNS that I probably could have done with out. Those chips were calling my name though. Football and getting my house cleaned is on my schedule for today.
12/31 - 151.8 super happy with this. Nice day at home with the kids and husband. Did not make my 30 pound goal this year, but was super close. I was 3 pounds off. Not going to complain, super happy with my progress so far. Ready to conquer that last 16 pounds I have remaining in 2019. We have 2 more days of this round. Hopefully I can finish on a decent note. Have plans with the kids and husband tonight. Movies, snack food, and probably a couple of drinks. I’m going to try and be careful, but I’m also going to have a good night with my family. Hope you all have a great NYE tonight!
01/01 - 151.2 I’m almost where I was before Christmas started. Probably will be up tomorrow but that’s ok. My 2 week vacation is over and we go back to regular life. Which honestly is probably best for me! I actually didn’t do terrible, but could have been better. Hopefully end on a loss or at least maintain tomorrow.

12/26 - 184.8 Not pretty! I remember when I was stuck at 177; oh how I wish I was still stuck there! It's okay, I'm going to get back on track. We are going to Jamaica in May for our 10th anniversary so I'm using that as motivation!
12/27 - 183.2
12/28 - 182.6 Back down to the high range of my 'normal' weight, I'm happy to see this! When I wasn't losing, I tended to stay between 179-182. Now just gotta keep it going!
12/29 - 182.6 Went to Pilates this morning and have a wedding to go to this evening. I don't know what kind of food will be there, but I know there will be delicious cake because I made it
12/30 – 182.8
12/31 – 183.0 UGH why am I not seeing progress when I've been eating well for 4 whole days???? Just kidding...kind of. Happy New Year!
1/01 – 184.4 What the what!? Honestly surprised by this number. Hopefully I'll have a whoosh soon, my diet and exercise are on track!

22/12: 166.3: Goals Under goal, but too much festive food choices yesterday. Oops! Rein it in!
23/12: 165.9: Goals Phew!!! Happy enough with that. Sooooo much better than previous years. 2 more days to Christmas Day Feast. Moderation is my goal
Round 63 -|- End Goal: 165
24/12: 165.9: Goals ✅
25/12: 166.1: Goals ✅ It is what it is. 🎄 Christmas!!!🎄
26/12: 168.9: Goals ✅ Goal was to do better than previous years. The jury is still out!
27/12: 169.1: Goals ✅ not unexpected. Definitely feeling the Christmas bloat. Food choices have been questionable, to say the least. Back to good nutrition!
28/12: 168.7: Goals ✅ Now to work on permanently discarding these blighters.
29/12: 169.2: Goals ✅ Let's hope that's the end of it! Just under 4 lbs is much better than previous years.
30/12: 168.6: Goals ✅ I've been under calories by a fair bit each day, but only because I was skimping on 'real' food, which didn't help, because the nourishment wasn't there. I also need to get my butt into gear with the exercise, since I have been a bit desultory with my walking, probably because of all the crap food (mostly chocolate related). My choices created a vicious circle, but I'm out of it now. I was much more sensible yesterday, and have been drinking extra water to flush out the system.
31/12: 167.4: Goals ✅ These things take time. Hanging in there. 2 more days in this round. I looked back on my weight since last Christmas. I have been more or less static for most of the year, but up 10 lbs on the previous year. Time to buckle down and get serious. I've been far too complacent for far to long.
01/01: 169.8: Goals 👿 Oh! The folly of opening a bottle of Prosecco at 11.35pm. Now, half a bottle and a packet of crisps and some Pringles didn't put on 2.4lbs of fat, but I feel the water retention, and will have little appetite today. I am working my butt off for the next however many days it takes to combat the festive bulge.
🎈🎉🎈May you have a joyous, productive, and prosperous 2019 🎈🎉🎈
02/01: 168.8: Goals ✅ Steady as she goes. Yesterday I stayed focused, chose healthy eating for 95% of my intake, and drank extra water. Glad to see it pay off. I am looking forward to continuing this downward tread in Round 64.
THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Round 63 - started and ended on 11st 11.8lb. Up 0.2lb from round 62
Round 61 11st 12lb (-1 lb)
Round 62 11st 11.6lb (-.5lb)
Day/Weight/Comment
12/24 - 11st 11.8lb - another .2lb increase that I did not expect as I was so careful yesterday. However, at 1246 calories I was slightly over the 1200 calories but I still had 113 exercise calories left.
12/25 - unable to weigh
12/26 - unable to weigh
12/27 - unable to weigh
12/28 - 11st 12.6lb. Happy to have only put on 1lb over Christmas, now to take it off again.
12/29 - unable to weigh
12/30 - unable to weigh
12/31- 11st 13.6lb three days at my daughter's house and I've put on another pound! I should have been going back on New Year's day. I'm so glad I am not going - she's not well and if I've caught her illness, I'll not be pleased. However, now home I have my scales to weigh my food and me and not be tempted by all the chocolates and biscuits she has in her house. Now can I lose the two pound to get back to the weight at the beginning of this round!
01/01- 11st 12.8lb. Happy with my loss today - just one pound and a bit more and I will be back to my pre-Christmas weight. A day at a time certainly works.
01/02 - 11st 11.8lb. Gosh, that's good. However, I didn't sleep last night. I've been tossing and turning so I think that's my exercise for the day!7 -

27/12 That's the festive season done and dusted for me, I'm taking the tree down today, taking the excess food and cake into work tomorrow and back on the exercise regime. It's the middle of shark week so fairly bloaty anyway so expecting a bit of a drop in weight mid-round.
02/01 Back to work today, got a good few rowing sessions in the last couple of days, aching everywhere as a result, taking today as a rest day, just going to try and stick to calorie deficit and get some yoga done this evening. Oh and signed up for a beginner Pole Dance Therapy class next week, so that should be interesting, always admired the strength and flexibility required for Pole Dance so going to give it a whirl (no pun intended).7 -

12/30 - 209.5lbs. Not a great day. I have been battling a cold for a week and definitely using "feed a cold" as my mantra. Have not felt like working out. Tracked breakfast, but stopped after that. Blood glucose was terrible all day (multiple >200 readings). Need to get that under control immediately as I have a A1C test on January 10th. Will get it together tomorrow. Can't use colds and holidays as an excuse.
12/31 - 207.8lbs. Great all the way through dinner with eating right, tracking all food going into my mouth, and blood glucose <110 from noon-8PM. Kids made brownie sundaes and my sweet teeth got me. Not terrible though. Finished Peter Sagal’s book The Incomplete Guide to Running. Good motivator and will be on the treadmill today. Cold seems to be gone.
1/1 - 206.8lbs. Fantastic day. Ran 2.6 miles in 30 minutes on the treadmill. It felt rough after having an awful cold for four days, but very happy to complete it. The key was no carbs from lunch through bed time which meant no bing eating. That is so key for me. Blood glucose readings were amazing all day. Long stretch between 90-110. I tracked my food pretty well. Extremely happy to see the reversal in weight from the cold/Christmas crazy carb, no portion control eating.

Day/Weight/Comment
12/24 - 241.8...didn't get enough water and had a high sodium supper.
12/25 - 242.8...actually stayed within calories yesterday and got lots of water...weighed earlier than normal though. Oh well. Merry Christmas!!🎄🎄
12/26 - 242.8...considering all I ate yesterday I'm very happy with that...dinner was super yummy and I stuffed myself on it! I got a Fitbit for Christmas and I'm pretty excited. I had a cheap knock off before that worked okay but didn't have heartrate. So far the Fitbit seems to give me few more steps than my other one though.
12/27 - 244.8..I ate a lot of leftovers yesterday and chocolate and popcorn. And I don't think I drank any water 😐 I'm going out of town tomorrow until Sunday evening and I won't be tracking. We have a girls drinks night planned which will involve snacks, and a couple of family dinners to go to. Back on track starting Monday.
12/28 - 244.8
12/29 - no weigh in. Girls night was a lot of laughs, my cheeks were sore by the time I went to bed!
12/30 - no weigh in. Spent most of the day yesterday relaxing and eating, we had some snow so not much else to do. Suppose to stop snowing this morning so hopefully we'll get back home later today. Not looking forward to weighing after this weekend but back on plan starting tomorrow.
12/31 - no weigh in again today. Snow kept us out of town for an extra night. Back home again now though...going to drink lots of water and have a low calorie day..hopefully the scale isn't too hard on me tomorrow (I did stuff myself with junk food for 3 days though 😞)
Happy New Year Everyone!!! 😁
01/01 - 244.0...under calories and 100 oz of water yesterday.
01/02 - 246.0...yesterday was a bad day, but I don't think it was a 2lb gain bad day 😒 my son was up at 4am again, it's become more of an everyday thing instead of the occasional thing now. My TOM, that started on Monday, didn't give me bottomless pit syndrome until yesterday and I didn't even like the thought of water.
Back on track for the next round...see you all there!!6
