Pretty darn close. I’ve been hanging at 178-179 all week so I wouldn’t be surprised if I end a bit higher on Thursday.
Mostly it’s because I am building muscle like crazy! Lots of strength training and conditioning. I’m definitely much leaner this month. It’s a big month of NSVs, I’m swimming in my clothes and my endurance and abilities in the gym are up.
I’d still love to see the magic number on the scale.

January 2nd -181.1 So glad to have my new digital scale so that I feel rewarded by "good" days. I am also happy with my decision to weigh every day, it makes me mindful every night that I will be weighing in the morning and affects my choices.

January 6th - 182.5 Crazy how everything fluctuates. I couldn't believe yesterday, so weighed 5 times. Up 3.8 from yesterday, but I have skating on the docket for today. Perhaps I will discover a trend in something that I am doing, eating, or something that I am not eating with how it affects me.
January 7th - 181.7
January 8th - 183.0 - really don't get the gain this time, I was in really good numbers all week.
January 9th - 182.2 - I seriously expect a really big loss soon. I am just sticking with it. I am working very long hours this week, maybe my body is holding on to it just in case.
January 10th - 179.8 - not getting too excited, I see how I can be almost 4 pounds more the next day. Still, glad to be slightly under 180 at least for today : - )

January 12th - 182.4 - I was less disciplined in December and still lost weight, yet this month I am being so careful and am just not dropping weight. I have to stick with it.

January 16th - 180.3 - I have seen the 70s twice this month already, but not getting my hopes up just yet. Skating yesterday and again today. I work out every day no matter what, but skating seems to be the difference maker. Maybe because it is so fun and relieves me of stress at the same time as torching lots of calories. 16 days of discipline to lose a 1/2 of a pound is ridiculous.
January 17th - 178.7 - Yay! 2 days of public skating makes such a difference. Wish that I could do it year round, it is the only thing that I enjoy for an entire hour.
January 18th - 178.7 - No skating, so not even .1 of a pound. I did 30 minutes of Zumba yesterday and only managed to eat 1100 calories. Public skating is 3 days per week unless I drive to a different town. Lol, thinking about that!
January 19th - 179.2
January 20th - 180.7 - lack of sleep.
January 21st - 180.7 - Up 2 pounds from the 18th. Even skated yesterday. I can't give up now though. Only 10 days until the end of the month. Hoping for a woosh. Very frustrated, not feeling like it is worth all of the effort today. Did 55 minutes of zumba. 4 days in the 70s this month, c'mon body!
January 22nd - 180.9 - luckily I have skating today. .5 of a pound is not good enough for 22 days. Plateau?
January 23rd - 178.9 - skating yesterday and again today, then none again until next week unless I can find a frozen pond while I am away for 5 days. I leave tomorrow and it is going to be a challenge with foodie friends cooking very high calorie foods. I was hoping to have had a bit of a cushion by this time in January so that I could enjoy myself on this trip, but I have had to be clawing for every increment of a pound.
January 24th - 178.5 - result of ice skating yesterday. 7 days left in the month, 2 more opportunities for public skating before that. I won't be able to weigh in again until next Tuesday.

....I gave into delicious caramel bubble tea. It was worth it.... A regular sized drink split into two days (dinners).
Now, I'm on day 2 again of no sugared beverages and knowing that I can keep this up excites me.
Also, I'm wearing size 12 pants today when I usually where size 14 .....
bam! I'm getting there.
All that I ask for now is hitting a 3.6 lb loss for the month. The closer I get to 130 the more, more, more I think it's possible to get there by April.

January 22nd -169 had my first pint of the year this weekend and then 5 more! Back on track this week and no alcohol.
January 28th -168 - the scales are not moving as much as I would like I know i won't make 5lb by the end of this week but will change tactics for February. Going to give it a big push these last 2 days!!

Welp. With my current weight fluctuations, does this mean I will drop some of the weight this Friday Feb 1st? I do hope so.
After I weighed in on Monday, I lost some of my will and just ate in a "blah" mood all day.
I know weight loss isn't linear but I just got so discouraged yesterday. And I know that I ate not so well on Friday evening when I dug into my leftover queso from Qdoba at 10pm (after dinner) but on Sunday I did not eat after 6:30pm (dinner). (Just venting, guys and gals.)
I'm on my second streak of no sugar beverages - only water - for 6 days and we are still continuing the gym 4x/week so maybe this is my (bodyweight exercise) gains!

1/04 - 177.6 - Felt miserable all day yesterday with some type of weird allergy cold again. Exercised, ate dinner and went to bed later than usual. Now gut is upset. What the what?!
1/05 -177.2 - Had no appetite most of the day yesterday, runny nose, gut in an uproar, whole 9 yards of misery. Took some cold medicine late afternoon and then proceeded to overeat cookies.😦
1/06 - 178.2 - Still with the carb craziness!
📌 1/07 - 177.2 - Coming back down. This "allergy cold" still hanging on. I will be staying under 20 grams of carbs today. (That should say net carbs.)
1/08 - 174.4 - 18g net carbs, 16g net is the plan today.
1/09 - 174.8 - I did better than planned yesterday, 19g carbs, 12g net. Today's plan is 16g/13g net.
1/10 - 174 - 20g carbs, 17g net carbs.
1/11- 172.8 - Yesterday 15g carbs, 12g net carbs.
1/13 - 175.2 - 21g carbs, 17g net carbs
📌 1/14/ - 176.2 - 63g carbs, 57g net carbs - black truffle & olive oil kettle chips was the culprit. Did not want to resist them.😏

1/16 - 173.8 - on track - 45g carbs 19g net carbs. Since I've had a couple of days of eating something (nuts or those chips!) after my fasting hours began, I've changed my eating window to end a couple of hours later. It seems to be working, but my early weigh ins will read a higher number at the 12th-13th hr fasting point as opposed to the 15th-16th hour.

1/18 - 172.2 - Mmm, maybe I will see a new decade at the end of the month.
After my post on the morning of the 18th, no Internet at home until the morning of the 23rd. I had a couple of high calorie days, a couple of high carb days. Mostly vegetables and nuts. Tomato soup one day, hot chocolate yesterday. A few days, junk carbs, cookie, chips, chocolate. The winter weather has been colder than it has been for a long time. Makes me want to eat!
