Round 64
Please join us! Starting on 01/03 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 64
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Hi everyone! Newbie here -- I just switched over from Weight Watchers a few weeks ago. I'm a Lifetime member, but was struggling to stay at my goal weight with all the working out and running I do. I'm now working with a sports nutritionist and using MFP to get back to my personal goal. This will definitely help me stay accountable!

Round 64
36yo/, 173cm / German living in London, UK, currently in Lusaka, Zambia
2019 SW: 72.8kg (oops)
GW: 62-67kg depending on how it feels
Happy new year everyone. I hope you all had a nice end of the year with all the delicious foods and now ready to get back to the routine.
I'm starting this round with quite a gain - I was down to 69.8kg two rounds ago... But I'm not too worried, some of it is water weight and "travel belly". I did not log for just over 2 weeks while eating buffets and restaurant food as well as some other indulgences I allowed myself. Have a great first round of the year!
01/02 72.8kg
After long haul flights and plane/airport food yesterday. Today, I'm back to work, the gym and logging everything that passes my lips.
@grandmajackie thank you for setting this up again. I took two rounds off and missed my daily catch ups with everyone's posts, progress and challenges
@salleewins Love your goals, especially #511 -
Happy New Year one and all. Not posted on here for a long time so have decided to just reset and start the new year fresh (so being cheeky and posting my weights up from 1st Jan!)
Bit of weight has gone back on over the last few months (holidays, no kitchen due to building works, family things going on, then Christmas etc etc) - all excuses not reasons though) so looking this round to get back into decent planned meals and to cut out the snacking, the "grab -and-go" meals and eating out (functional kitchen back up and running again). Expect a reasonable loss this round just by getting back to normal so no target set as such other than behavioural ones.
01/01 - 158.50lb - new start weight - not pretty but have at least faced the scalesMeals planned for the day
01/02 - 157.40lb - one day of decent eating and drinking more water and feel better already as that bloated feeling starts to go. First day back at work today so have meals prepped and planned
