    @sdelpapa 189 to 186 is 3 pounds this round!

    @aFit50 Reshii, I think IF isn’t for everyone and maybe you need to work into a longer fast period slowly. Get firmly into the keto WOE and see if IF isn’t easier. I’m attaching a slide I lifted from Dr. Eric Westman’s video, Keto Made Simple. It is directed at diabetics but good basic Keto. One thing I noticed is that he doesn’t stress eating a lot of fat. Carbs are a limit, protein a GOAL, and fat the lever to satisfaction.

    Thanks @quiltingjaine !! ~ I've been primarily IF 12/12 and LC conscious most of my weight loss journey with great success. However, since trying IF 16/8 w/ the stronger KETO "rules" the past few weeks I've been all over the place emotionally and on the scale!!! I knew the "flu" would be part of the process, but I'm not liking how I feel at all. I was planning on adopting some changes by weeks end and this definitely helps. Thanks again. 🙂

    @abowersgirl I feel your pain! BTW I love that you post your old results from the other challenges and can watch your weight loss journey but I can see it’s taken dedication and many weeks and rounds. I can relate to this so much, as well as going up on the scale for no apparent reason sometimes. I’m so glad I found this board.. Been struggling on my own for a very long time.

    It definitley takes dedication and patience but this group has helped so much. There are so many people who have similar experiences and knowing that it is normal for weight to fluctuate, for strength training to potentially result in a gain and to get encouragment and advice when needed has been a huge help. Not feeling alone is really half the battle to weight loss. Just stick with it and everything will slowly fall into place not to mention you will gain new insight and begin to have healthier perspective on exercise and diet

    ... This round has been an epic fail for me . Sometimes I wonder whether I should even be trying since this is one of the most difficult periods I’ve ever had to live through in my life. I feel bad saying that because I don’t have a serious illness. However, sometimes financial, marital and other stress can become unbearable. I find myself eating, even though I’m really not hungry, I just need the comfort. I always thought I was stronger than this. Still, I think if I don’t at least maintain some sense of awareness, my results may be even worse. So, I’ll continue to track and report, even in the dark days.

    Hugs to you @back2cute - Summer 2017 through late fall 2018 was a deeeeeep daaaaarrrrrk redesign for me that had me reeling emotionally so much of the time. I too felt guilty that I was so completely felled by stresses that didn't threaten my physical health, "only" my sense of security, purpose, happiness, worth. Thanks to a stellar counselor and re-engaging with a support group I am regaining my equilibrium, though not yet much buoyancy. Like you I am trying to make myself track, even the epically failing days (today was one) ... like you, I believe that trying again and again and not giving up is worth something. All the best wishes to you.

    @brightresolve So very, very well said. Thanks. You've helped many of us today!

    @quiltingjaine Thank you and I wish it was that simple. I already put a lot of time and energy into watching my weight and my family notices. I have a 10 year old daughter and an almost 17 year old daughter. I try and promote a healthy eating style for them, but not go over board. My oldest daughter already watches her weight (142 pounds at 5'3") and I can see some of the same issues that I have had growing up in her. We have very shapely figures and it is frustrating some times to be so shapely. On the weekends when I say "eat normally" I mean to stay within maintenance calories and not live on salad, vegetables, and fruit as I do during the week. For some reason if I eat a piece of bread or drink a beer I will gain at least 3 pounds overnight. It is gone within 2 days, so I don't stress that much about it, but it just gets frustrating sometimes that it doesn't affect other people the same way. I try to eat the same meals on the weekends that I make for my kids and DH. I usually do not eat like that on the weekdays. I will make myself a salad instead of eat the sides I make for everyone else. I never eat any kind of dessert or bread during the week either. I just want to make sure my girls know that they can eat healthy, but enjoy food to. My youngest has already made a couple of comments about my salads every night. That is why I also struggle with what my maintenance weight should be. I have gone between 135-145. My DH says that 135 is way to small and I am already starting to loose my boobs. Lol, which I have DD's and they have shrunk a little (thank god), but so has my back pain. 30 pounds ago I was constantly in pain. My shoulders, back, and neck always hurt because of the weight I was caring around from my breasts. Now rarely do I hurt, which my husband is glad about, but doesn't want me to get any smaller. He thinks I am good now and should stop loosing. Sorry I went off on a tangent, lol. This is just all stuff that I guess has been building up in me. I will be 40 this year and I just want to make sure I am healthy and fit for my age, but I want to make sure I am doing it the right way in front of my kids.

    Round 66
    Interim goal:- 166 or less
    Next big goal:- 164 - into 'just fat' and out of obese on the BMI scale
    Final goal:- 134

    Track every day. Walk every day if I can - it's not hard on my body, so there are no excuses.
    Make good food choices, plan my meals and grocery shopping.

    01/23 169 Walked 70 mins treadmill. Field trip, exhausted. Within calories but made brownies for a work birthday so calories were not good :(

    @jenn990205 I understand what you are saying. In 1985 and again in 2008 when I went to WW, I told my girls that I didn’t want them on the weight roller coaster that I had been on all my life. I’m sorry I irritated you but glad it put you “over the edge” so you could vent. We don’t realize how that builds and it is good to release it. HUGS to you.

    @tiabirdie56 Welcome back, Tish!

    @zimborunner. In the next day or two, you will be the only one here. PLEASE join us on the Round 66 thread -

    @quiltingjane No irritation with you at all! Just irritation with weight loss in general sometimes. I appreciate your comments all of the time. Thank you for all your input!

    @quiltingjaine I forgot to post the last two days, but I know 3 pounds sounds like a lot! I’m at the first few weeks of intermittent fasting and the weight was just dropping off as long as I avoided sweets, so I was really optimistic when setting this goal. It may not be feasible but I don’t get fixated on my goal number, I’m more of a.. daily wins type person. Even if i can’t make it, I’m ok I won’t be discouraged 🙂
