This is my twelvth round. The last round was pretty bumpy, so I'm hoping for a better time this round. I may decide to reset my Mini-goals....rather than be frustrated for the next 5 months!! They looked pretty reasonable two weeks ago!

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 -- 153.5 -- Happy scale day! .5 below pre-Christmas weight! Some of the loss (and gain last round) probably due to TOM.
01/14 -- 153.5 -- So nice to see this number repeat. I think the bloat is mostly gone.
01/15 -- 154 -- (got 153.5 at first and stepped on it again. Got 154 for my trouble, and the scale stuck with it!)
01/16 -- 154 -- I'm ok with this. Went out for lunch with a friend and had a gyro with the pita. Bit of a carb binge when I got home, but within my exercise calories. Interestingly, I could tell the difference of eating more carbs yesterday, because I got hungry during my morning walk!
01/17 -- 153 -- Yes! Two walks and half of a zumba class yesterday. Ate a bit high on carbs and calories in general, because I was feeling pretty stressed. But still under goal. And did not drink multiple glasses of bourbon...just one.
01/18 -- 153 -- After last weeks roller coaster, this week has been nice and calm! I'm super dizzy today and hoping it was a few too many carbs yesterday and electrolyte imbalance. Drinking broth and hoping to shake it!
01/19 -- 154.5 -- Doesn't make a lot of sense. Ate better yesterday than earlier in the week. I did have two cups of broth, including one in the evening, to see if that would help with the dizziness. So it could be that. Still a bit dizzy today.
01/20 -- 155 -- Well that is irritating. I fasted till dinner yesterday. Ate low carb, high fiber, low calorie, big deficit. It is irritating that my biggest gains this week were after my best two days! I guess the good news is that if I had eaten poorly, I would be frustrated with myself, instead I'm just frustrated with the scale, water retention, irritating fat cells that sometimes decide to reclaim water before whooshing away. Sigh. Hopefully I still get to end low this 10 days. Less dizzy this morning....so that is good too.
01/21 -- 154 -- Worse day yesterday, better weight today. Sigh. Trying to just ride it out. I'm a pound down from my bad begginning...if only still at pre-Christmas weight...
01/22 -- 155 -- Officially frustrated. Decided to eat cake instead of whining about my weight. That was probably not my best decision. LOL. Starting fresh tomorrow.

Highest Weight - 227.8, May 2016
Goal Weight - 199
Ultimate Goal Weight - 194
Goals for Round 65 -
* Under 1900 calories each day
* Track all food and steps
* Run 7 days above 2.5 miles
* Add 5 days of weight workouts
* Get to and stay under 200!!!
1/13 - 203.1 (1,387 calories, 10,692 steps): Solid day. Tracked all food. Stayed away from the dinner/night binge. A little too high on the carbs which showed blood glucose in the 140-150 range for long periods of the day. Did not workout so I need to improve there. Better things for today!
1/14 - 204.3 (way too high on the calories, and way too low on the steps): The dinner/night binge got me. I'll get it today. Going for a perfect day today! Good luck to everyone.
1/15 - 202.8 (~1,900 calories, 8,647 steps): Back in the right direction. Decent day. Need to get my treadmill game back on. Will try to get on it tonight or get a long walk in while waiting for kid's activities. Keep the momentum going.
1/16 - 200.7 (~1,600 calories, 17,564 steps): A good day. Got in a 30 minute and 50 minute brisk walk. Need to get back on the treadmill and hit the weights again. Received my A1C results which were 6.2%. My doctor will be happy, but I want to get it under 6. A new 3 month goal for A1C. Glad to see the scale go in the down direction. Good luck to everyone as we hit the hump of the 10 day challenge!!!
1/17 - 202.3 (did not track all calories, 11,417 steps): The slice of pizza got me! The one thing I was proud is that it was only one slice, and not 3-4. Keep on, keeping on. Here is to a good day for everyone!
1/18 - 202.9 (did a cheat meal, 9,417 steps): I was happy I did not turn the cheat meal...into a cheat day...into a cheat week...into a cheat month....and just giving up. I need to get on the treadmill. Going to make sure to work out all weekend. Love this forum because it keeps you accountable everyday and manages the ups and downs.
1/19 - 203.8: Blah on everything. Back at it today! Only a few days left in this round and I really want to hit that goal of under 200. Under 200 and stay there!!! Good luck to everyone this weekend. We got this!
1/20 - 202.5 (did not track calories, 4,622 steps): Okay day. Ate fairly well, but not a lot of movement. Need to get on that treadmill. I will do it!
1/21 - 203.9 (did not track calories, 9,122 steps): Got hit by the late night meal. Need to do better with managing eating late. On the positive, ran 2.5 miles on the treadmill. I want to finish this round strong! I am very happy that I am keeping my weight in the 200-205 quadrant. That has not slipped.
1/22 - Completely forgot to do everything.
1/23 - 202.5: Need to get back to being serious on everything. Glad the weight is staying in this area, but need to make the next step change down. Time to focus!6 -

Don’t “eat like everybody else.” Eat like YOU!
@sdelpapa 189 to 186 is 3 pounds this round!
@aFit50 Reshii, I think IF isn’t for everyone and maybe you need to work into a longer fast period slowly. Get firmly into the keto WOE and see if IF isn’t easier. I’m attaching a slide I lifted from Dr. Eric Westman’s video, Keto Made Simple. It is directed at diabetics but good basic Keto. One thing I noticed is that he doesn’t stress eating a lot of fat. Carbs are a limit, protein a GOAL, and fat the lever to satisfaction.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GH9IZHnyr2I

Thanks @quiltingjaine !! ~ I've been primarily IF 12/12 and LC conscious most of my weight loss journey with great success. However, since trying IF 16/8 w/ the stronger KETO "rules" the past few weeks I've been all over the place emotionally and on the scale!!! I knew the "flu" would be part of the process, but I'm not liking how I feel at all. I was planning on adopting some changes by weeks end and this definitely helps. Thanks again. 🙂1
-
@abowersgirl I feel your pain! BTW I love that you post your old results from the other challenges and can watch your weight loss journey but I can see it’s taken dedication and many weeks and rounds. I can relate to this so much, as well as going up on the scale for no apparent reason sometimes. I’m so glad I found this board.. Been struggling on my own for a very long time.
It definitley takes dedication and patience but this group has helped so much. There are so many people who have similar experiences and knowing that it is normal for weight to fluctuate, for strength training to potentially result in a gain and to get encouragment and advice when needed has been a huge help. Not feeling alone is really half the battle to weight loss. Just stick with it and everything will slowly fall into place not to mention you will gain new insight and begin to have healthier perspective on exercise and diet1 -

Sometimes I wonder whether I should even be trying since this is one of the most difficult periods I’ve ever had to live through in my life. I feel bad saying that because I don’t have a serious illness. However, sometimes financial, marital and other stress can become unbearable. I find myself eating, even though I’m really not hungry, I just need the comfort. I always thought I was stronger than this. Still, I think if I don’t at least maintain some sense of awareness, my results may be even worse. So, I’ll continue to track and report, even in the dark days.
Hugs to you @back2cute - Summer 2017 through late fall 2018 was a deeeeeep daaaaarrrrrk redesign for me that had me reeling emotionally so much of the time. I too felt guilty that I was so completely felled by stresses that didn't threaten my physical health, "only" my sense of security, purpose, happiness, worth. Thanks to a stellar counselor and re-engaging with a support group I am regaining my equilibrium, though not yet much buoyancy. Like you I am trying to make myself track, even the epically failing days (today was one) ... like you, I believe that trying again and again and not giving up is worth something. All the best wishes to you.
@brightresolve So very, very well said. Thanks. You've helped many of us today!1 -

@quiltingjaine Thank you and I wish it was that simple. I already put a lot of time and energy into watching my weight and my family notices. I have a 10 year old daughter and an almost 17 year old daughter. I try and promote a healthy eating style for them, but not go over board. My oldest daughter already watches her weight (142 pounds at 5'3") and I can see some of the same issues that I have had growing up in her. We have very shapely figures and it is frustrating some times to be so shapely. On the weekends when I say "eat normally" I mean to stay within maintenance calories and not live on salad, vegetables, and fruit as I do during the week. For some reason if I eat a piece of bread or drink a beer I will gain at least 3 pounds overnight. It is gone within 2 days, so I don't stress that much about it, but it just gets frustrating sometimes that it doesn't affect other people the same way. I try to eat the same meals on the weekends that I make for my kids and DH. I usually do not eat like that on the weekdays. I will make myself a salad instead of eat the sides I make for everyone else. I never eat any kind of dessert or bread during the week either. I just want to make sure my girls know that they can eat healthy, but enjoy food to. My youngest has already made a couple of comments about my salads every night. That is why I also struggle with what my maintenance weight should be. I have gone between 135-145. My DH says that 135 is way to small and I am already starting to loose my boobs. Lol, which I have DD's and they have shrunk a little (thank god), but so has my back pain. 30 pounds ago I was constantly in pain. My shoulders, back, and neck always hurt because of the weight I was caring around from my breasts. Now rarely do I hurt, which my husband is glad about, but doesn't want me to get any smaller. He thinks I am good now and should stop loosing. Sorry I went off on a tangent, lol. This is just all stuff that I guess has been building up in me. I will be 40 this year and I just want to make sure I am healthy and fit for my age, but I want to make sure I am doing it the right way in front of my kids.4

01/17 200.4 Argh..not sure what happened. Didn’t do anything outrageous, hoping it is hidden sodium, which I am sensitivet.
01/18. 198.2. Relieve! I feel it’s good to see our daily fluctuations and not to panic. Now to focus not to overdo it on the weekend, which is my downfall.
01/19. 199.2
01/20. 199.8. Not having a good weekend weight wise, and I still have a family dinner later.
01/21. DNW scale problems
01/22. 199.0
OK, a loss of .8. Less than I had hoped for but a loss is a loss. I liked the challenge, I felt it did keep me more accountable. For the next round I am determined to be more focused.5 -

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 - 203.7 (5839 steps) – Today is my 1st full day here in this challenge. Didn’t make it to the barn to ride yesterday. We got lots of snow. Zero structure to my day. Could have been a potential problem. I had 2 meals still leftover from last week’s meal prep so, I used those for lunch/dinner. Rode the recumbent bike in the living room for a total of 50 mins (10.05 miles). Still allowed myself room to have a pint of Halo Top.
01/14 – 204.8 (6813 steps) – Sundays are the laziest day of my week. This was no different. We got 3” of snow and I did NOT want to leave the house. I slept in late and was a couch potato. I stayed in the green with my calories and even did 37 mins (7.77 miles) on the bike. I was able to meal prep lunch/dinner for the work week. Hopefully leaving on Friday for weekend in KY with my Mom.
01/15 – 203.5 (7480 steps) – I ate all 3 of my meals at work yesterday seeing as I had to work a 10 hour day. It felt better to have dinner consumed BEFORE I got on the road for my hour drive home, plus 2 errands to run in the middle. I wasn’t tempted for a quick drive-by dinner or crappy quick meal when I got home (at 7:30pm). Win! I squeezed in 33 mins on the bike (6.9 miles) before hitting the sack. All in all it was a good day.
01/16 – 203.5 (6788 steps) – Successful food planning at work yesterday, despite the stress & chaos. Logged all 3 of my meals before I even ate them. No cravings when I got home. No mindless snacking. Rode the bike while watching NCAA basketball (45 mins – 9.61 miles). This weekend is going to be tough. Going out of town to my Aunt/Uncle’s house in KY and just found out there was a death in my Aunt’s family today so, there will be LOTS of company and food while we are there. This will be my first “test” since starting over.
01/17 – 203.3 (7084 steps) – Yesterday was a very long and stressful day at work. It wasn’t until after 8pm last night that I was able to write my comments. I didn’t snack or over eat. I stuck to my plan and ate the meals that I had prepped for work. 40 minutes on the bike (8.58 miles), some reading & visiting with my parents, then off to bed. Off to KY tomorrow morning. Not sure I’ll get to do a full update or weigh-in but I’ll be stopping by to read everyone’s posts.
01/18 - 200.6 (4626 steps) Almost to Onederland!! Had a long day yesterday between work and a 2-hour meeting after work. Had zero ambition to do any exercise. Did a small amount of snacking but stayed under my calorie goal. Winter storm coming but we are headed to KY here in a couple hours. True test time!
01/19 - 201.2 (3828 steps) Used my Uncle’s scale. Ate out for all 3 meals yesterday due to traveling. Tried to avoid snacking in between. Instead of buying chips to snack on at my Uncle’s house, I bought 4 bell peppers to crunch on. That did save me late last night when everyone else was eating salted peanuts.
01/20 - did not weigh (2122) Pretty much ate my way thru the entire day and totally paid for it. Upset belly all evening and into the night! We had a house full of people and food. Day before viewing and funeral plus TONS of rain!!!
01/21 - 206.8 (2663) *I did not weigh until 2:30pm today after driving 250miles home.* Yesterday was bitterly cold and no one wanted to leave the house. We went to the viewing and stayed at my Uncle’s watching the dogs while rest of the family stayed for funeral. My eating was still bad and again I paid the price. Upset belly all night.
01/22 - 205.4 (2004 steps) I am not going to lie. By the time I got home from KY, I was just exhausted. I didn’t meal prep. I didn’t weigh or measure. I didn’t exercise. I was just done! Ugh! I will strive to do better in round 66. I am not giving up.
And.......I just realized I finished these 10 days even!

1/12 - 173.2 - 29g carbs, 23g net carbs. 19g carbs, 14g net carbs. Forgot to update carbs yesterday before posting.
1/13 - 175.2 - 21g carbs 17g net carbs.
Two higher carb days in a row. I don't fast on Sabbath. Sometimes I eat more food, sometimes I eat later in the day.
1/14 - 176.2 - Really holding the fluid today. Late dinner, late exercise, unplanned snacking. 63g carbs, 57g net carbs. Carbs were: black truffle & olive oil kettle chips, ( They were calling me and I answered. Lol. I ate them instead of going to bed, but they satisfied my need for crunch and high flavor! So, well worth the carbs and fluid retention), peanut butter, spinach, salad, turkey kielbasa. On track today.
1/15 - 173.2 - 18g carbs, 15g net carbs. Carbs were: spaghetti squash, spinach, turkey kielbasa.
1/16 - 173.8 - 41g carbs, 17g net carbs. Carbs were: black walnuts, cauliflower, green beans, radishes, keto seed porridge. No junk carbs, weight is up slightly because I changed my IF hours to fit the time my hunger kicks in, which is now much later in the day. So, this is my low weight after 12 hrs of fasting. My eating window starts at 4:30pm.
1/17 - 173.8 - 39g carbs, 20 net carbs. Carbs were: salad, keto seed porridge, spaghetti squash.
1/18 - 172.2 - 19g carbs, 13g net carbs. Carbs were: salad, radishes, sunflower seeds, dill pickles.
1/19 - 172.2 - 38g carbs, 31g net catvs. Carbs were: guacamole, dill pickle, radish, peanut hutter, salad, horseradish in tuna, cashews.
1/20- 173.8 - 42g carbs, 35g net carbs. Carbs were: keto seed porridge, multi grain tortilla chips, sunflower seeds, peanut butter, buffalo chicken dip asparagus, spaghetti squash.
1/21 - 173.8 - 83g carbs, 75g net carbs. Carbs were: raisin bread, raspberries, spinach, multi grain tortilla chips, tomato basil soup.
1/22 - 174.2 - 105g carbs, 101g net carbs. Carbs were: salad, raisin bread, ghiradelli dark chocolate salted caramel (5 squares) no salt chips. They've been in my house over a week. I'll certainly pay for it with an upset stomach. Can't tell you what the chocolate and chips were about. I think not enough sleep from the winds howling all night and the day was so very cold. I was cold all day. Tried to chew up some body heat I guess, lol.

Track every day. Walk every day if I can - it's not hard on my body, so there are no excuses.
Make good food choices, plan my meals and grocery shopping.

@jenn990205 I understand what you are saying. In 1985 and again in 2008 when I went to WW, I told my girls that I didn’t want them on the weight roller coaster that I had been on all my life. I’m sorry I irritated you but glad it put you “over the edge” so you could vent. We don’t realize how that builds and it is good to release it. HUGS to you.
@tiabirdie56 Welcome back, Tish!
@zimborunner. In the next day or two, you will be the only one here. PLEASE join us on the Round 66 thread -

@quiltingjane No irritation with you at all! Just irritation with weight loss in general sometimes. I appreciate your comments all of the time. Thank you for all your input!2

@quiltingjaine I forgot to post the last two days, but I know 3 pounds sounds like a lot! I’m at the first few weeks of intermittent fasting and the weight was just dropping off as long as I avoided sweets, so I was really optimistic when setting this goal. It may not be feasible but I don’t get fixated on my goal number, I’m more of a.. daily wins type person. Even if i can’t make it, I’m ok I won’t be discouraged 🙂2
