This is what I use when I can't "go"! Drink a cup around dinner time and hopefully it works before you need to leave the house in the morning! The first time caused some cramping, but subsequent uses have not. I also take magnesium at night. The only other thing I've tried is Dr. Schultz's formula 1.0 -
I do a higher fiber (49.9999 grams daily) keto due to eating a ton of 100% cacao bars with coconut chips daily.
A gallon of water a day and about 1200 mg of magnesium from Doctor's Best High Absorption Magnesium is needed in my case to keep down muscle cramps.
I do walk at least 1/4 of a mile daily and drink a lot of coffee. My first cup of coffee each day contains about an oz of coconut oil.
Things will work out in the end but I think my learning curve was about six months but that was 4 years ago.
Best of success.

Curious about the high fiber cacao bars with coconut chips. Mind giving more information? The ones I saw weren't especially high fiber, but I'd be up for trying something.
My favorite chocolate bar currently is Chocolove Extreme Dark 88%. One bar (I usually eat half) is 180 cal, 16 g fat, 10 g carbs (but 4 of those are fiber, 4 sugar), 3 g protein. Not really keto compliant (but then I'm not keto), but tasty. But I'm open minded if something else tastes good and provides fiber too (not Quest bars).2 -
@amring - I keep checking for an update from you, but since there is none, I trust everything worked out in the end.
If not, I strongly suggest you seek medical attention at this point instead of continuing to manage this on your own. An intestinal blockage (if that's what's happening, here) is nothing to fool around with.5 -

Get of keto... it is a fad diet. eat a balanced healthy diet with vegetables fruits lean meats and drink water. start walking and exercising.
listen to your body - it is struggling from what you're doing to it. if this diet was great for you. your body wouldn't be malfunctioning.

Glad to hear this. There is a limitation on taking care of things yourself. At some point it needs to be evaluated by a medical professional.3 -
Good luck. You might as well get checked.
Of it is keto caused the main contributors would probably be:
Not enough salt. Most ketoers need a minimum of 3000-5000 mg of sodium a day. There is 2300 mg of sodium in a teaspoon of salt. You may want to try a half tsp of salt with water a few times a day. Unless you have a kidney problem, you will just excrete the excess( if you hit the level of more sodium than you need).
Not enough fat. Some ketoers on a protein heavy diet experience this. More fat can help - especially mct or coconut oil.
Less dairy. In some, the rise in cheese and dairy consumption blocks them up.
More magnesium. If you are not meeting your salt needs, Mg may get low. Supplementing with magnesium citrate may help. Magnesium oxide roll give faster and more extreme results.
More exercise. Movement helps.
Other things that some notice helps is coffee and nuts.
I'm not a fan of fibre when constipated . Some fibre creates bulk in your stools which is that last thing you want when constipated. Meats and eggs are more completely digested and will often result in less bulk being created. If you have cut back on fibrous foods and are eating more meat, you may notice less frequency and bulk.6 -
@nvmomketo thanks for your advice it's very helpful! It's definitely the change in diet that has resulted in this.4

Hope it resolves soon.2

I was like you, READY TO GIVE UP, I do low carb though not keto, so I get 100 gr of carbs or less a day, my 91 year old mother gave me the answer, FIBER 1 CEREAEL, 14 gr of fiber in 1/2 cup with my Almond Milk. It works great! Before that I took magnesium also which did help, I am just not much on pills rather have food. I was getting so disappointed because low carb worked great for me, 30 lbs loss since July, now I can do low carb with this cereal every morning, some times I switch off to high fiber oatmeal.4

@GaleHawkins what's the brand of high fiber cacao bars with coconut chips? Sounds good!
I had a problem with regularity when I was in Costa Rico and fresh raw coconut helped with that.1 -

Another asked for info on my fiber sources but with winter storm I have been driving my wife to work so I haven't been at a computer with a keyboard
Almonds are from any source. 100% cacao bars preference are Baker's but any 100% should work. Coconut Chips are from Kroger in my area.1 -

Below are the fiber numbers. I eat all of the below first thing each day and and most often the the coconut and cocao after each meal and coffee as my desert. I keep coconut chips and the whole almonds in the vehicles to eat should I miss a meal due to schedule or something. When I go to McDonald's to get my two round steaks (fresh beef 1/4 patties and coffee I often eat a bit of almonds and or coconut before I go into McDonald's to eat. After the holidays I was eating the oranges before they spoiled and some quinoa. That was a lot more fiber and I felt okay but my pitting edema returned after having been gone for over 4 years so naturally I went back to straight keto since my long stated goal is to live to be at least 110 walking and talking the entire way.
