Round 68
SW - 228.35lb
GW - 226lb
02/14 - 228.35lb - starting this round late but thought I might as well start again. Been quite steady just plodding along. I’m so close to 40lb loss but feels like it’s taking forever to actually get there 😅.
02/15 - 228lb - a small drop but I’ll take it. All going the right direction
02/16 - 226.12lb -happy now just got to make it stick
02/17 - 226.8lb - still holding onto 226, just 😅 got a few days to get that 0.8lb off
02/18 - 226.35lb - very happy this number is sticking around, and unlike my typical weight trend the fluctuations are only small at the moment
02/19 - 225.25lb - a new low and only 0.25lb until I’ve lost 3 stone since September 😬👏 hopefully can make this stick
02/20 - 225.25lb - it stuck 👏. I would really really like to lose that 0.25lb by tomorrow 😅 but either way I’m still pleased
02/21 - 225.25lb - this is apparently my new sticking point which brings this round to a close at a loss of 3.1lbs 💪🏻14 -

Took a break due to mental health…. Now back up past my starting weight! I have also developed high blood pressure so for the sake of my own health I need to do this.... plus I don't want my kids growing up without me there!
Currently doing a “100 miles in February” challenge for charity too, so I'm running 4km every morning and 10km on Saturday and Sunday!

Day/Weight/Comment
2/12- 100.4 so embarrassed about how much weight I put on… doctors was a real wake up call, showed me the excess is doing more that just stretching my clothes!
2/13- 99.9 didn't eat very well yesterday and took a rest from running too!
2/14- 99.7 doing well but I know it's just the Tom water weight coming off!
2/15- 99.0 Well this is a nice drop! Had a lovely run this morning, getting faster every day! Slightly concerned about the weekend as I'm bringing my son to a fortnite thing and I've promised him five guys for lunch afterwards… I'll have to be on my best behaviour...
2/16- 99.2 knew there’d be a bounce back but still happy! Think today is a day off running as I'm out with my son but I'll see if I can squeeze an hour in later!
2/17- 99.5 That's the pizza and chips from last night! But I've a long run planned today so I'm not overly concerned!
2/18- 99.2 think I'm carrying a little water after my run yesterday. Ended up having a lovely 13.5km outing along the harbour. Beautiful sunshine and boats bobbing in the bay! Stunning! But I'm a bit sore this morning, going out for 4km recovery run later so that should help the muscles recover!
2/19- 98.4 The dietbet and the 100 mile challenge has actually got me ridiculously focused! I am dragging my *kitten* out of bed at 5.50 to go out for a run! Just for the possibility of winning my $35 back and because I want my shiny medal for my 100 miles!
2/20- dnw my youngest turns 3 today but just like his 1st and 2nd birthdays he is unwell! Poor thing was up half the night with croup! This meant I was up until 2 and then up at 6 as his brother was up and wanted to do cake and presents! So with all that going on I just didn't have a chance to step on the scales! Off out for a run when husband gets home from work, food going well, haven't even eaten any of the birthday cake! So I'm hoping yesterday's number sticks!
2/21-98.0 yikes! Overshot my goal by a whole kilo! I didn't believe the scale so I tried a few times, then took out the batteries, but always the same reading....
I'm delighted! Can't wait to keep this momentum going in the next round!

Good first day back on track. Had pizza in the eve, not the best choice, but I weighed it and it was well within cals.
Adjusted my goals on MFP and fitbit and aiming for a 0.5kg loss per week. Looks like I've done that already 😆 Must all be water/travel weight coming off.

No surprise, had some wine and then late dinner.
Ready for the next full round.9 -
Not sure how, but I appear to have got an extra day in this round, somehow.
This is a great thread for accountability and support.
Back for another round. Posting weight each morning, and comments for the previous day.
In October 2017 I weighed 158lbs. My aim for 2019 is to reach 155.

11/02: 165.0: Goals: Gentle exercise after my intense 2 days of strength.
Not sure if the stall/increase is because of weekend food choices, increased strength training, or both. It's sometimes a trade-off situation when one decides to work on muscle toning. Looking forward to Round 68.

12/02: 165.1: Gaols: ✅ Hmmmm... Still plateauing. Under calories but a relative rest day after Monday exertions.
13/02: 165.1: Goals: Do grocery shopping, gym session, 9000+ steps ✅. Didn't get to gym, but did some circuits at home. Fitting in the gym is problematic this week.
14/02: 164.6: Goals: Well, there it is again! Planning a Leslie Sansone HIIT workout before I head out this afternoon✅. Did w/o plus some flex/strength. Ate most of my exercise calories on Valentine's dinner 😂 so will definitely be holding water in the morning!
15/02: 164.9: Goals: 1 hour gym session ✅ plus some walking later on today. Got in several walks outside between meetings. I'm wondering if the gym session will lead to water retention again.
Sat, 16/02: 165.2: Goals: Lots of walking playing ingress with my daughters ✅ Over 270 minutes walking, 21015 steps.
Sun! 17/02: 164.9: Goals: Rest day after yesterday. ✅

Tues, 19/02: 164.9: Goals: Gym session, HIIT.✅ No gym, but worked out at home
20/02: 164.8: Goals: Busy with meetings today. I think I must have posted twice on Tues. I had had an intense day and was quite tired in the evening after a workout.
Wed, 20/02: 165.0: Goals: Is a whoosh too much to ask for? Went shopping, then after lunch we went for a walk along our local beach. The weather is finally back in double figures. 11*C
Thurs, 21/02: 164.5: Goals: Dance class this morning, weights w/o and yoga after lunch.
Fairly happy with this round. Looking forward Round 69. I've been doing this Challenge since June 2017. This time last year I was 172 lbs. Today? 164.5! Vive le difference! It's been up and down, but the trend is downward!
THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

@thattoothfairy... I'm aiming for consistency! Sore in new places hehe. Today I'll try to finish all my eating before 530pm, that way my stomach can rest while the rest of me sleeps I discovered that I'm really loving this online- journaling. I feel it is helping with accountability. Thanks guys, you're the best... And to whoever reads this, I hope you find some inspiration in my journey as well!)
I can relate to that! 😂 I've been working on muscle definition, and have discovered a lot of new places! 😂 But it's worth it for the long term gain.2 -

02/19 - 279.8 - Glad it's gone down a bit. Hopefully it was just sodium or something from the food at weekend

I am 52, 5’2” and trying to get healthy for the last time and stay this way. I have high blood pressure, cholesterol, and very low vitamin D levels. I will log everyday here but have only one day I check in with weight and it is Friday.
SW: 225.8 (2/10/19)
CW: 222 (2/14/19 Valentines challenge)
Mini Goal: is to lose 10 lbs. in 5 weeks.
Overall Goal is to lose 105-115 lbs. (that is half my weight and will take time! I am OK with this because I will learn how to eat right, and do it the healthy way).
Day/Weight/Comment
02/12
02/13
02/14 – 222lbs - I am feeling good because I have a more positive attitude and being more active, like to be accountable, and this will also help with it
02/15 – 220lbs – Amazed at how much the scale changes, but feeling motivated.
02/16 – 222lbs – OK with this, I was concerned because my schedule was messed up yesterday, and ate later than usual. I am not sure if this played a part in it but I am OK with it.
02/17 – 221.4 – I was up early, like midnight and could not sleep. This tends to be the times struggle with eating more than I am supposed to eat. I did nap later before shopping so feeling somewhat better. My schedule somewhat messed up today. I will remain strong, even as hubby said we will order something for lunch from Domino's. I will not, because the saturated fat in everything and sugar content. I will have salad I put together myself.
02/18 – 221.0 – I get disappointed when I only see a loss of ounces, but then realize it is a loss, and any loss is a good one. Own the loss weather it a 0.1 or 1.0. Well today have the grandkids, so not sure what kind of day we going to have. The grandson is a handful with his behavior problems. My granddaughter will probably want to make some jewelry. I will try to get a walk in today with the grandkids. Have a great day all!
02/19 – 221.1 – I am not worried about the .1 gain; that is the joys of weighing every day. It all good and I won’t let this discourage me. Today I will get a walk in; my schedule was off with the grandkids off from school and the neighbors two I watch at night time. My struggle will know there are cookies the neighbor brought over. This was my downfall last night after completing meal plan. I ate 4 – good thing they were small.
02/20 – 220 – Feeling pretty good this morning, a little sore from walking home from my granddaughter’s basketball game – this was an accomplishment. I am trying to walk more to get some type of exercise in.
02/21 – 219.8 – I am feeling good this morning. The winter weather and cold is keeping me indoors and have my schedule messed up. Grandkids back to school so will get a walk in today, when get my grandson after school.
I am one step closer to my goals!12 -
My 3rd round. I'll be trying to keep under my calorie goals by at least a couple hundred a day, as I'm away at the weekend for a post-Valentines break, will give me more leeway. Won't be able to weigh 16th-19th.
SW on 01/18/19: 326lbs
GW: 234lbs (temp goal)
Round 66 Start: 323.5 End: 318.
Round 67 Start: 319.5 End: 316.5
Day/Weight/Comment:
02/12: 314.5 (-2.00) - Happy to see this again! After exercise - I added the "active time" minutes on Samsung health, just phone tracking of activity from my pocket - I was under by 600 calories yesterday.
02/13: Forgot to weigh, woke up in the night and couldn't get to sleep, had breakfast and a nap, all ok though.
02/14: 313.5 (-1.00) - Always nice to see a new low!
02/15: 314.5 (+1.00) - Hello old friend! Slightly early weigh, came in 0.5lb lighter later but I'm sticking with this. Away to a tiny cabin on a farm for the weekend, with my boyfriend, in the middle of the countryside. Heaven! Won't have scales for the next 3 mornings, will write if I feel like it, going to try and be a bit sensible with food but I'm not that worried.
02/16: No Scales
02/17: No Scales
02/18: No Scales
02/19: 314.5 (+0.00) - Had a lovely Valentine's weekend. Good food but lots of activity, went around a zoo on Saturday. 11k steps, 120 minutes of active time (not sure how Samsung health calculates that, we were there for 5+ hours, maybe an hour of that sat down, so I assume it's non-stop movement). More walking Sunday and yesterday. Lots of salty, sugary, unhealthy food and alcohol on Sunday evening. Felt bloated Monday morning, I think my body has gotten used to better nutrition. Expecting a drop in a day or 2 as water weight goes, as I kept at least my 500 cal net deficit each day by the time exercise was added! (Based on calorie estimates!) Was a lovely weekend.
02/20: 313.5 (-1.00) - Forgot to post, technically the 21st here but weight and written the right day!
Woke up to an awful cold, won't worry about eating at defecit for at least today. Just hope it doesn't last long.
02/21: 315.5 (+2) - Very early weigh and I ate most of my defecit yesterday, so pretty expected. Still rough, slept badly which is why I'm up early. Having sciatica at the moment after over-doing it at the weekend just to make life more painful! Painkillers, fluids and rest today, that's my entire plan. Still at a defecit for the week, the numbers will keep going down, so I'm not worried. The daily weighing is to see trends, not worry about a higher number some days. I'm a month in and past the wooshing side so it'll be slow and steady from here on.
See you all tomorrow for Round 69!10 -

12/02 Went a little off my planned meals yesterday as went out for dinner with my lovely man, had some spicy Indian food to try and help unblock my ear, along with everything the doc has me on. Not sure exactly what impact this will have on my calorie deficit as had to guesstimate, I mostly had veggie stuff so it wouldn't have been too high and my watch also rebooted itself and wiped out an hour or twos data so my calorie adjustment is all to pot.
I did my 2nd cycle into work today, still don't trust the local traffic on the narrow streets, the streets here are still made for horses and carts going one way nevermind 2 way traffic, so walked some of it. I have pole class tonight so will have a fairly active day in all.
13/02 Finally got a drop on the scale woohoo, it's unusual for me to record the same weight day after day, my water weight normally has it up and down like a yo-yo. Aching like hell from last night's pole dance class, but have another one tomorrow so better recover sharpish. Got a reasonably quiet day activity-wise today and meals all planned for the day.
15/02 Not sure how I managed this but somehow skipped a day's info, so have corrected it now. Had a lot more food yesterday than normal so not unsurprised it's up, ate at maintenance-ish yesterday. Trendline in Libra is starting to take a downward turn again so happy enough. I have my catch up class of Pole Dancing this evening and a lot of walking expected 3km in to work/3km to pole dancing/ 3km to boyfriend's place later + the normal 3-5000 steps I normally get in over the course of the work day. My race training starts for rowing this weekend, so will probably struggle a bit with calories in the coming week, it's hard to find a balance between keeping a deficit and fueling my training to start with but I am sure it'll be easier this time around than the first time and the physical benefits of the training make a helluva a difference in my body composition, so there is also that to look forward to.
18/02 Took a maintenance day Friday and today as was experiencing some lovely PMT craving so weight is up a bit this morning. It's slightly disappointing to see the scale climb but I know it's just all the sodium and carbs I had over the weekend and the hormone bloatiness, I feel like Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters the last 2 days. I made some Mason Jar salads for the first time in ages as I've been mostly having soups for work lunches over the Winter, kind of looking forward to something different.
19/02 Slept sooo well last night which is rare, I was up early this morning for a 6.5km row, cycled in to work, will be cycling home too. Mason jar salad yesterday was really filling.
20/02 Ate all the food yesterday, oops. TOM heavier than usual and I feel a bit fatigued, possibly side effect of the anti-biotics, so gonna supplement some Iron next couple of days. I am away (again) this weekend, however it's a city break - Prague & Brno so will be lots of walking and I've lost interest in drinking so pretty confident that it shouldn't have too much impact weight wise.
21/02 I don't feel I put as much effort into my Pole Dancing Class yesterday as I could have, but still cycled there and back after walking to/from work so it was still a pretty active day. Didn't have the energy the night before to make lunch and forgot to make some overnight oats so food was off my planned meals but calorie intake was fine just not as much protein/fat as I'd like. Weight is down at the end of the round again, so happy with that, hope to keep up the effort and keep it that way.12 -

02/12 – no scale. Didn’t eat too bad considering I’m not at home. Stayed below calories and no alcohol, but no exercise and didn’t drink enough water. I did a little better than yesterday with water, but can do better.

02/12- 210.5
02/13- 210.8
02/14- 210.8 I don't expect any weight loss on Valentine's Day! lol
02/15- 211.9 Spent Valentine's Day w/my ex-gf...Caloric nightmare! Back-on-track, today.
02/16- 211.2 Post-dinner snacks + wine killed me, but still made-up a little.
02/17- 212.1 I'm going in the wrong #@$%^&;;;; direction!
02/18- 210.8
02/19- 211.2 Family emergency. Spent the whole day in hospital ER. Skipped lunch, overate @ dinner.
02/20- 209.2 Another family emergency has arisen, so I might not be back tomorrow to finish. I definitely won't make my weight loss goal, but I should definitely be lighter than when I started. Good luck, my friends.
02/21- 208.6 Got up @ 3 a.m. just so I could complete my log-in for my 10-day journey. I did not reach my GW of 206.0 lb, but I did lose 1.9 lb over the last 10 days. Time allowing, I'll participate in Round 69. I hope everyone was successful during Round 68. Cheers!9 -

Day/Weight/Comment
02/12 – 143.5 – I’m happy I’m still within maintenance range after my carb and sodium fest weekend!
02/13 – 143.5 – I had a tax client come in yesterday. I’ve been doing her work for 15+ years. She’s always been thin, but the past couple years, as she approaches 50, she’s gained a little weight. She was shocked at my weight loss and asked how I did it. I told her about MFP, CICO, and this challenge. She was blown away at the fact that we weigh ourselves every day and share our weight and stories with each other. Having been in this challenge so long I forget how intimidating something like this can be. Whether we’re up, down, or stuck in a plateau, it says a lot that we’re here.
02/14 – 142 – I realized yesterday morning that I had not been keeping up with my water, so I made a determined effort to drink plenty of it.
02/15 – 143.5 – More water today!
02/16 – 143.5 – Holding steady.
02/17 - 143.5 - I was over calories today, we'll see how it goes tomorrow.
02/18 – 143 – I’m surprised I wasn’t holding water weight this morning after my food choices yesterday. It may show up tomorrow or Wednesday, but I’m happy with this weight today.
02/19 – 142 – OK!
02/20 – 143 – I’m OK with this too.
02/21 – 143 – Stayed within maintenance this round so I’m happy!

02/14 -259.4. 💕
02/15 - 258.2(-1.8). I’m not sure why yesterday was up. I work nights and finished a stretch with very little sleep so maybe getting in a good 8 hrs helped.
02/16 - 257.4 (-2.6). I made cauliflower crust pizza last night. It was very filling , I felt for sure I would gain but love it even more now.🥰
02/17 - 256.6(-3.4). Nsv . Yesterday we celebrated hubbys birthday. He wanted Chinese he got the usual Chinese buffet I got the steamed beef and broccoli no rice. I still wanted an egg roll and crab Rangoon but stayed strong. I did have a sliver of cake my daughter made but it worked out ok. So glad I maintained strong.
02/18 - 256(-4lbs). Goal made for this challenge.💪
02/19 - 255.6 (-4.4 lbs)

Day/Weight/Comment
02/12 217.0 Happy to be starting here - round 67 was good to me! Ready to put in the work to keep this going!
02/13 216.0 Today I’m on a field trip and dinner out. Praying for the determination to make good choices!
02/14 216.8 Ouch! Dinner out last night was mexican - Chips and queso gets me very time!
02/15 215.8 Added a couple glasses wine for Valentines Day, so that might show up later this week. Managed to increase my exercise yesterday, and determined to be good all weekend.
02/16 216.2 Dinner out - more chips and salsa, and a couple skinny jalapeno margaritas. 3 days off now, so double the exercise to get this back moving in the right direction. Happy Saturday!
02/17 215.2 Good day yesterday! Hit the gym, watched my eating, and went to listen to a band last night so was able to burn more calories while dancing along. My next week is pretty quiet so I'm hoping to see some good results.
02/18 216.0 Ouch! Big dinner last night, but I had hoped my workout would have levelled that our some. Hope it melts away quickly. Only three more days and I was hoping to see 214.x!
