04/13 - 140.7 I believe this is the TOM drop I was waiting for in the last challenge, better late than never. I also cut white carbs yesterday that I had been eating through the previous week. -1.1lbs
04/14 - 140.7 I guess it has to slow down at some point. My diet was on point and I met my exercise goal yesterday as well. I also drank a ton of water yesterday (12cups). Not sure why the stall. Will see what tomorrow brings.
04/15 - 140 I did weigh in 3 hours later than normal so might be a little off but progress nonetheless.
04/16 - 140.7 I thought it might be up a little because of yesterday’s late weigh in possibly skewing numbers but I didn’t think I’d be back up where I was the day before. I have been doing a lot of strength training, maybe I’m retaining water. Either way I’m still on track. NSVs are abundant. I look much better in clothes than I did when I weighed less. I am also seeing noticeable changes in my strength and muscle mass. Hopefully I’ll see a drop on the scale tomorrow but either way I’m doing good! 💪🏻
04/17 - 140.2 I was expecting a little more but it’s a loss so I can’t complain. Looking forward to getting back into the 130s!

Now, unbelievably, it’s Round 74, my 41st Round.
400 days!

I found this graph on my Happy Scale. It tells the story of the last year best. AS we are losing we’re keeping all that weight in green off, too. Feel proud, folks!!

Still figuring out my Maintenance Range.
Thought it would be 169, but I shrunk, so 166 (normal BMI). Hit May 2018. Realized I needed to lose more.
Then set 155. Hit Thanksgiving Day 2018. Realized I needed to lose more.
I like 153 Much more than 155.
Ditto 151.2 more than 153.
Shooting for 150 now, gradually.

Goals

2.🏃♀️run - 1/2x

4.🧘yoga - 1/4x
5.🍫no LNS - let's see, all snacks after dinner 0/2

Yesterday: 🚶♀️🏃♀️🥊🧘🍫🍷
This round is going to be tough. Two weekends including Easter, when I'll be going back to London to pack up our house for the move while catching up with friends and a desperately needed date night with DH.
I'm reinstating some moderate goals, but left some out that I know I won't be managing this round.
R73 EW: 71.7kg
Sat 04/13 71.5kg - 🚶♀️13k🍷 2300+cals in, 650 fitbit adjust, 8-900over
Picking up new car, yay! Steps will probably be quite low today, 2hr train ride to car, meet SIL and a couple of friends for lunch, then 2.5hr drive back home, dinner out...
Sun 04/14 - 71.5kg 🚶♀️8k🍷 didn't log cals, 315 fitbit adjust
I have a car! This is so exciting. It will negatively impact on my steps, but it also means I save 30mins each way to work, so I can start my morning runs again. And overall a new way of living 😊🚗
Yesterday wasn't too bad foodwise, a few road trip snacks (easter eggs) and ice cream after dinner. I estimated very generously, so cals might well have been lower.
Today, went for brunch, but very civilised, then Ikea before I dropped off my SIL at the airport. I didn't eat much, but had a few more Easter eggs - to finish them before the new week.
Mon 04/15 71.0kg 🚶♀️10k 🏃♀️2k 🧘🍷 1422 cals in, 447 fitbit adjust, 315 deficit
What a nice surprise this morning! Day was good food-wise, went for a brief lunch time walk and a 2k run - I really need to do some work to get back into running...
Tue 04/16 71.3kg no goals achieved, oops
Dinner with work, it was tapas style dinner but loads of different cuisines. I just estimated 1000cals for it.
I only did 3000 steps, this is my new reality, driving to and from work, plus no time for a lunch walk... Definitley don't want that to be the norm.
Wed 04/17 71.4kg 1713 cals in, 306 fitbit adjust, 178 over, 7k steps today
Weight is going the wrong direction, but not really surprising.
I favoured sleep over run or yoga again in the morning. I'm finding it really difficult to find an end to my day in the evening as they seem so short.
Food was acceptable, too much sugar, but not terrible. Ikea trip after work upped my steps, but still not made the 10k.
Thu 04/18
Fri 04/19 - trip to London, night out
Sat 04/20 - packing // no scale
Sun 04/21 -packing and date night //run? //No scale
Mon 04/22 - brunch with friends, back to Amsterdam // no scale

Dear @deepwoodslady,
I took a ziplock with me yesterday (because I knew it would be a crazy day) with weighed:
Washed apple
1.5 oz of unsalted nuts
2 oz of Kashi flax cereal
1/2 oz dark chocolate
And 2 bottles of water
Sure enough, something went over by 2 hours, and I was “famished” when I got back to the car. Ate the apple -slowly. Drank 1-2 cups water. Ate 5 nuts mindfully. Drive to the nearest Starbucks & got a nonfat decaf latte (130 cal) & instead of eating my choc & the cereal (269), I got a warmed choc chip cookie (360). I ate a few more nuts. Went and did next few things.
Made it home. Ate healthy vegetable heavy dinner.
I think having a refrigerated pack of ready to eat things will be my savior in maintenance as the American on-the-go food scene is pretty hostile for us. IE the choc chip cookie. I would have been happy with my cereal and my choc, but suddenly seeing that on the shelf (I was looking for a container of yogurt), and old habits popped up. So my next step is to pull out my refrigerated bag, so I can pack a protein too!
Thinking of you. I can assure you, I promise, your grief WILL get better. Really.
♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️
@MadisonMolly2017 Thanks so much (again) for all the travel tips. Knowing what has worked for you is so very helpful because you have come a long way successfully. I have been traveling with unsalted nuts, but adding some other things including sweet (like the chocolate) and the ever-filling fiber (like Kashi flax cereal) is a great idea! Curbing cravings is essential! Because I am diabetic and am usually gone 10 to 12 hours I do eat at restaurants too. However, my goal is to limit it to just one meal and supplement with these snacks. The trick is to be mindful of my restaurant meal when I have so little available in my own town & I get excited. This is where the snacks may also come in handy. Less hunger = smaller meal. That is my experiment today. Also I am vowing right now to all my mfp family that one meal, at least for today, will not turn into an all night binge. A late dinner, at home, from my prep cooked meals is all I will need, if anything. I am also vowing (one day at a time) that I will not stop at a bakery or donut shop (none available in my own town) to get the goodies that are not normally available to me. They are not going anywhere and will be there some other time. Not today. I've got to get back on track and back to my pre-Thanksgiving weight. It's spring, for goodness sakes! Thanks again for sharing. It really, really helps.
Dear @deepwoodslady!
Sounds like a perfect plan!
Every day we are doing experiments & figuring out what is best for our bodies!!
We are strong & creative problem solvers & we are motivated. We will never quit no matter what! We realize every time we go through a rough patch & recover the thread & get back on track, we are learning Essential Skills for maintenance!!

Hi..My name is Diane and I live in Louisville, CO..a bit south of Boulder. I started My fitness pal last week and I just saw this today. I am 53 years old and this sounds like a great challenge to keep me on track.. I need to be held accountable, thats where my strength is and that helps me stay on track. I am joining a few days late and I am going to put my last weight from Saturday on there for the 1st 3 days! Would like to continue on with you guys and join the sessions. My goal is to lose 13.2 more pounds to get to my first goal!! I am doing much better on my water and sometimes it is hard to get motivated to exercise but I have my Fitbit and am trying to get to 10000 steps each day!! Thanks for the support and I am glad I found this group. My profile pick is when I was close to my goal weight and I hope to get there again!!

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

04/15 186.6 lbs had a bad day yesterday with cramps and back pain, so not much activity. Food-wise it was an ok weekend. Looking at Monday motivated!
04/16 186.1 lbs Yesterday was a very good day exercise wise and also food wise. Even had some calories left over for a piece of chocolate (and stayed under my carbs goal! Yay!). Let’s do this again today!
04/17 184.8 lbs What a nice drop! Hopefully I can keep it. Made a semi-smart choice at the restaurant yesterday (very satisfying Couscous-Vegetable Stir-fry, left me with little calories for the rest of the day, but I got through with vegetables and fruit), so I will have to work on that.
04/18 184.6 lbs - wow! After having two scoops of ice cream with my son yesterday afternoon I was sure I was going to see a gain today. But I guess staying within my calorie limit and only eating veggies for dinner serves its purpose! Goal for today: going to the gym and finally tracking my water intake!

My weight has been all over the place this last week with my period. After having plataued on 80.6kg for 4 days prior to this, it shot up to 81.6kg over the past couple of days. Really want to focus hard these 10 days on a strong weight loss as my June trip is coming close and I've worked hard to get as close to my end goal weight as I can for it!
Day/Weight/Comment
04/13: 81.5kg.
04/14: 80.5kg. Yesterday was eating well, gardening and doing 15000 steps. I am feeling it today! Wondering if THIS is the bounce back to my pre-period rate or if my weight will move up again tommorrow.
04/15: 80.7kg. Not as much as a bounce up as could have been. Lots of gardening and walking. Now, back into the work week!
04/16: 80.3kg. Glad to be moving down but really getting tired of being stuck in the 80 point dots. Managed to do my 10000 steps even with a sudden double shift.
04/17: 80.2kg. Arg. and, yay. But arg. 10,000 steps, calories on point.

Day/Weight/Comment
04/13 - 200.4
04/14 – 200.8 Ok with this because feeling a little stiff after almost 2 hours of walking and running to play tag with the grandkids.
04/15 – 202.0 I messed up by eating under calories, but too much fat. Amazing how everything works together. It ok and will work harder. Rain most of the week, so stuck in the house.
