Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – but I am finding it difficult!

04/14 NW – travelling. Almost 9 miles walked yesterday

04/16 133.8 – pleased with that after 3 days eating out & not being in control of how meals are prepared/cooked, I did try to make as many healthy choices as possible. Visited Sandringham House & Estate yesterday, walked just over 5 ½ miles yesterday.
04/17 133 - walked 9 miles yesterday. It was my birthday so did indulge in a small portion of cake and a little tot of alcohol to celebrate!!
04/18 133 - walked 12 ½ miles and an hours yoga yesterday.
04/19 133 - walked 6 miles pushing grandson in pushchair – didn't chase him around today as he is under the weather after his inoculations yesterday

Th 04/04: 165.4: Goals: ✅ 'Free' day today, so worked on decluttering my craft room.
Fri 05/04: 166.0: Goals: ✅ Final Boditrax assessment this afternoon. Good progress made. Reduced metabolic age to 62, increased muscle mass, reduced fat mass, so I am very happy. All my stats were improved.
Sa 06/04: 166.3: Goals: ✅ granddaughter is home for a long weekend so we took advantage of the gorgeous spring weather to have a family day out. Lots of walking. Restaurant lunch, but made healthy choices, and drank lots of water to combat sodium.
Su 07/04: 166.4: Goals: ✅ Felt out of sorts today, despite sensible choices at the restaurant yesterday.
Mo 08/04: 165.8: Goals: ✅ Great day today. Unexpected after the weekend, but a nice little whoosh this morning. It will probably bounce back up tomorrow.
Tu 09/04: 165.8: Goals: ✅Delighted that I stayed down. I had a full day today, so had to walk when I got home late this evening to hit my step goal.

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

04/14 – 200.8 Ok with this because feeling a little stiff after almost 2 hours of walking and running to play tag with the grandkids.
04/15 – 202.0 I messed up by eating under calories, but too much fat. Amazing how everything works together. It ok and will work harder. Rain most of the week, so stuck in the house.
04/16 – 200.4 much better now to work on getting into Onederland!
04/17 – 201.8 up again not worrying I am sick and not doing anything, just sleeping a lot.
04/18 – 201.8 glad not more than this but was hoping was less, I am still sick since Monday.
04/19 201.0 Hit my Easter goal of 201.0 – Although it was a struggle with being sick. No matter what will push forward. Once feeling better can get back to moving like I do and tracking much better.
04/20 – 199.4 I didn’t even want to step on scale this morning, I am not eating right, I still feel like crap and should be excited about the loss, but know it may not last because not eating enough calories to survive with being sick.

04/13 - 204.4 - much better. Although neither food nor exercise were good yesterday. I am happy to see a loss. I officially weigh in on Fridays and it was the first week in 2019 that I had seen a gain and I was very disappointed by it so I wallowed a bit. I'm over it now. Back on it again. Next week will be Easter and there will be lots of eggs around so I need to be on my best behaviour until then.
04/14 - 203.8 - feel much better about that. Food was good yesterday. Exercise not so much. Away from tomorrow morning early so will log my weight at some point and will weigh again when I get back on Friday.
04/15 - 203.0 - feeling much better about that number. I was good foodwise yesterday and I went for a long walk in dreadful conditions. I am way now until very early on Friday so who knows what I will weigh then.

04/19 - 205.0 - away until this morning and had to eat out with not much access to healthy food and no exercise at all. Happy to be back to normality!

4/13 - 144.0. Uptick to start off, yuck. Wins yesterday: dog walk and an upper body weights circuit. Hydrated well. Tracked food. Went to bed early. Ate too many snacks in the evening though and went over my calorie goal. My daughter’s softball tournament is cancelled due to rain so hopefully that helps me stay on track with food during the day. We are attending a Bat Mitzvah this evening so my goal is to not go overboard there. I don’t know what the food situation will be but I’m sure it will be delicious.
4/14 - 144.6. Not unexpected but I still hate to see it go up. Yesterday was my planned off day from the gym, and it coincided with a social event with food heavier than what I normally eat. And dessert 😉. So all was planned and I knew a higher number was possible. Also haven’t gotten enough sleep this weekend. Back on track today with a workout and tracking everything I eat.
4/15 - 145.1. Wrong direction! Wins Sunday: bodycombat class and a dog walk (cut shorter than I wanted due to rain but still got out there), good hydration. Tracked my food, but went over my calorie goal. We went out to a new breakfast place that opened near our house. I picked a healthier option but I'm sure it's higher calorie/uses more oil than I would make at home. And my daughter baked a cake so of course had a piece of that. I'm weak when it's in my house which is why I try not to have too much sugar at home! Today is a new day, and I feel a little stronger and more motivated than I did yesterday. At least right now . Hopefully that holds all day.
4/16- 144.8, not a big drop, but back in the right direction at least. Wins yesterday: 5.75 mile run, long dog walk (ended the day with just under 20,000 steps!), tracked my food, hydrated well. Things that didn't go well: not sleeping well the last couple of nights, went over calorie goal thanks to the cake that my daughter made. I cannot resist! Plus running makes me hungry... Goals for today - track everything and stay at goal, working from home and I tend to eat too much those days. Will really try to be conscious of this. I want to tighten everything up this week so I go in to travel this weekend in a good place.
4/17 - 144.4. Wins yesterday: HIIT class, long dog walk, hydrated well, tracked food and was really close to calorie goal only over by a small amount. Still snacking/grazing too much though. Also have a bit of a sore throat so not feeling great yesterday and today. Will take it easier on the physical activity today to hopefully feel better. Will work very hard to stay within my calorie goal today and not graze too much (at home again today - why is it so challenging to stay away from the kitchen while working at home??). Not sleeping well this week at all, I think that has something to do with it. Hoping for a more restful day which will help my mindset. I don't think I'll lose a pound from my starting weight this challenge, this one has been difficult. Will be happy to get back to where I was on 4/12 at this point.
4/18 - 144.4. Feeling very stuck. Wins yesterday: easy short recovery run and a short upper body weight circuit, long dog walk. Hydrated fairly well, room for improvement though. Still grazing/snacking too much at night. I start the day very strong and motivated, and lose it as the day goes on. Something needs to change. I am trying to focus on the positive - that I've lost over 5 pounds in less than a month. That's a great achievement. But I'm having a rough week and not feeling good about my efforts/progress in this challenge. Doing my best to regroup.
4/19 - 144.0. Wins yesterday - RPM class and a long dog walk. Hydrated well. Cupcakes at work so of course I had one, no willpower! But it didn't put me too far over my calorie goal for the day. Leaving later today for a weekend away at my in-laws'. Won't weigh in (I'm sure they have a scale but I like to weigh on mine for consistency) but will try to check in if I can. Will be hard to track food since I'm not preparing it but I'll do my best. Goal is to get out for long walks with the dog when I can, stay hydrated, and practice mindful eating in an attempt to not overindulge. My IL's - all of my husband's family, actually - are very fixated on food. Every meal is huge, they are great cooks but all meals are very heavy and there is always dessert. Portion control will be key. Will see on Monday what kind of damage was done
4/20 - traveling no scale. Checking in because it helps me to write out what I went through the day before in hopes I can improve. Yesterday was very anxiety-ridden. We had severe weather, massive storms and under a tornado warning 3 times. We found a short window of time where there was a lull to drive to my IL’s, and it was really bad here too. I could only get a short dog walk in as it poured mostly all day. The travel and the anxiety over the storms caused me to stress eat big time. Not happy with how I handled the day. Today is a new one. Going to do my best to get in a lot of movement, drink a lot of water, and portion control.

04/13 - 276.6 - Woot! I got to sleep to closer to my actual waking point. Yesterday was my fast day until five (I have meds that require food). My sleep was interrupted at one point due to the fire alarm, no actual fire though. My cat still freaked out and hid under the bed. I'm almost to my next goal!
04/14 276.8 - A slight uptick caused by a rude awakening early. My cat insisted that I get up early. He pawed at my face and then my back and head when I turned over to go back to sleep. I think the snow was setting off his alarm bells. It was getting kinda chilly in the room. I had left the window open as it wasn't supposed to get that cold or windy as it was. I got a lot of walking in today. I finished with 27,020 steps. I did Zombies, Run! (London Calling) and a regular walk along with walking during commercial breaks. Tomorrow I start Week 3 of Zombies, Run! Couch to 5K
04/15 - 275.8 - Sooooo close to my next main target goal. It's 275, then the next one will be 250. I can't believe how far I've come. I started this journey this year at 339.8 on January 2nd. So I hope to reach that 275 this round and to surpass it, actually. I had to put on my winter coat to go to church yesterday due to unexpected shift in the weather yesterday morning. I haven't been able to button it up in years. I was able to button all the buttons with more than enough room to move around in the coat yesterday. It was nice. Today is Week 3, Day 1 of couch to 5K Zombies, Run! style, more walking, doctor's appointment and blood draw.
04/16 - 276 - Slight uptick, but weighed waaaay early due to waking up early again. I may have to try something different to try and get my sleep. I am fasting today to grieve the loss of the Notre Dame Cathedral, while she is not utterly destroyed it is going to take a generation and an untold fortune to rebuild her. It is also unfortunate that this happened during Holy Week. In one picture it looked like she was battling Hell itself. I am grateful to all 400 firefighters and further security personnel that worked to battle the blaze and keep the people safe as well. For the firefighter that was seriously injured I pray for his/her speedy recovery today. I will be doing some walking today. Yesterday I did do Week 3, Day 1 of my couch to 5K in the morning, it truly tested me.
04/17 - 271.8 - Well this was unexpected. It’s nice to see but unexpected. I did some walking and praying yesterday. I also did an episode of Zombies, Run! I’m not sure when I will do the next training session of couch to 5K training as I have an appointment this morning I don’t want to be late for. I can’t push it till tomorrow morning due to my aid coming. And Friday is a food pantry. I’ll figure it out.
04/18 - 273.4 - Eh. Not sure about the number. Weighed in an hour early. I woke up early due to the weather and couldn't get back to sleep. I did another episode of Zombies, Run! yesterday and unfortunately I discovered that the fun DJ's that come on after the mission are not coming on because I have to run through all the missions again! in order to get them back. Oh, well. It'll take awhile,but to me it's worth it.
04/19 - 272.2 - Going back down. I slept a bit later this morning, but still up early. I managed to Week 3, Day 2 of C25K yesterday. I got a little bit dizzy and quesy starting in the middle of it and got progressively worse. My glucose tablets finally arrive today, and I plan on carrying them with me the next I exercise just in case it happens again. I also walked for an hour using Zombies, Run! starting over with Mission 1.
04/20 - 270.0 - Woke up at a good time this morning. I'm going to the gym for Week 3, Day 3 of Zombies, Run! C25K. I will also do an episode or two in the community room later today too. Sun is out and it will be in the low 70's. Walking to and from the gym, taking my tablets with me, just in case. I may not have the problem since I am going closer to breakfast than I did last time. I expect it to be a good day. I am going to try and see my grandmother in the afternoon.

@quiltingjaine - No, I'm not diabetic, but my uncle was, my grandfather was, and my grandmother is, so I recognize the warning signs of low blood sugar. Though I do have a meter around here somewhere to check my blood sugar every once in awhile. I think you're right, and I should try to find it, and test to see where it's at

And birds, birds, birds, from LBJs ("little brown jobs" -- birder talk) to Turkey Vultures, Red-tailed Hawks, and Great Blue Herons. Fabulous!

04/13 153.5, had sushi (lent) and a lot of soy sauce, no idea how much salt was in that until I saw this number since is higher than I was all last week. I love weighing every day since I’m not freaked out by this number and know it will be gone soon
04/14 152.6, happy to see a lot of the salt is gone. Hopefully will resist temptation at dinner time tonight to end the weekend lighter than I started
04/15 152.4, so close to seeing a 151.x number this round. My TOM will be mid week so just going to make sure I’m hydrated and avoid fried foods. Going to a basic cardio and strength class that’s held once every few months for beginners. Those types of classes always intimidate me, but figured a beginning one should be good.
04/16 152.4, such a hard class yesterday, but I felt great for not giving up. I did have to modify a lot, but a lot of the exercises were completely new to me. I tend to do elipitical and spinning as my exercises, so any weights and total body exercises are foreign. My hamstrings and glutes are paying the price haha
04/17 152.1, new low and so close to a 151 number! Yesterday, I took it easy and might need to do the same today because I still hurt getting up and walking up and down stairs. Lots of stretching in my future!
04/18 152, managed to get a 35 minute elliptical. Hope to continue the downward trend to end this round under 152.
04/19 152, I only drank 48 oz of water so woke up thirsty bc I did have tofu with soy sauce for dinner yesterday. Off to the gym for 70 minutes. I’m fasting two meals for Good Friday so going to take it a bit easier than my usual Friday which involves more strenuous exercise

4/14-166-Heavy salty food, it was really hot while we were at an outside event and I didn’t drink enough water. I’ll get back into the swing of things with my walking tomorrow.
4/15-162-I drank plenty of water and didn’t eat any of the heavy, salty food we had leftover from Saturday. I’m back to walking.
4/16-164-walked 7 miles yesterday and drank lots of coffee and iced tea instead of water. I planned on being good at dinner but my friend made some sliced baked sweet potatoes in the oven and I had seconds.....and now it’s raining. Tomorrow will be better.
4/17-164-The rain stopped and I got a walk in. The weather should be nice now, for a walk and bike ride.Glad to be in 160’s.
4/18-163-I get to visit my sister to celebrate her birthday; hopefully I won’t eat like a pig! I made her a quilt and am excited!
4/19-163-I’ll gladly take that after eating out yesterday. I got to see my sister and when I got home, I had protein powder in milk for dinner and put on my weighted vest and went for a good walk. I did not have any alcohol this week which is most excellent for me.
4/21-161-My goal weight this round....I got to this a couple rounds ago. I went to yoga yesterday which helped with stretching I needed. I’ll walk 7 miles this morning and then go help my in-laws set up for Easter.

04/13 345.2 I was out of control with my sodium yesterday and a little over calories too. Add in that after I posted yesterday I pulled a few muscles in my leg and the water weight was inevitable. I’m resting today and I’m sure I’ll see it all drop off again in a few days.

04/19 Good Friday DNW slept late. Today is a modified fast day for me (Modified due to type 2 diabetes) 1 meal, 2 snacks, no sweets, no meat, no alcohol, no caffeine. I miss the caffeine the most.

Day/Weight/Comment04/13/19 202.6#. I see a new future of new low weights! I was 201.3# on 6/21/13 when I started MFP. I am 1.3# away from that number. I am very excited! It has been too long that I have been under 200#. I had always sworn that I would NEVER be over 200# and that I would starve myself if needed. Well a new scale was bought and immediately I was 205#. That was around 16 years ago that I first saw that big number. Little did I know that I would see a pregnancy weight of 264# or my heaviest non pregnancy weight of 236.8#. I am feeling so much better! God has truly answered my prayers and has motivated me to do something about my weight. Over a year ago I was blessed with food allergies. But I have now realized how much better I can feel when I am eating right and not eating all the processed I used to be eating. I hope eventually I will learn to like cooking, I look forward to that day. But so far, I have made changes I can live with. I plan to keep this up after Lent also. I haven't felt this good for YEARS!

04/15 204.6#. 1,888 calories in. 47 ounces water. 4,452 steps. I have completed my good diary for 45 days in a row. This is a huge accomplishment for me.
04/16 204.2#. I'm surprised by this with the high carb suppers I've been having. I've also been terrible with water. 1,522 calories in. 55 ounces of water. 5,094 steps. Not bad for a lazy day.
04/17 202.4#04/18 202.2#. 5,450 steps. Calories in: 2,655 😲😱😟. 71 oz water. I suspect I will feel completely rotten in the next couple of days…
04/19 203.6#. Fasting for Lent. I'm glad Easter is almost here. Today I'm using fasting as a way to make up for the last 2 days, which is the wrong reason to be fasting. The good news is, I'm still down 0.6# for the week. 76 oz water. 4,792 steps. 1,476 calories in.

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!
