I am 52 , I look 52 but I feel 32 !
The gym is my church AND my asylum
My mission in life is Just to stay fit healthy and toned until I’m a hundred! And annoy my kids , help others to achieve their goals and enjoy life

I'm a kid at heart. I do crazy things a woman of 45 should probably not be doing. It helps that I look about 10 years younger though. I don't go to the gym, but if there's an interesting tree I might climb up. Just bought an electronically rather wrecked guitar and spent most of yesterday cleaning it and fixing some soldering points because it would be a great one for garage/indie noise. I travel to Åland in just over two weeks just because I've not been there yet and I want to find geocaches there. I have a camel thigh bone in my livingroom that I picked up somewhere in the desert in the Middle East. And I have a rather potty sense of humour6

Taking up heavy lifting and lifting more than i did when i first started made me light, springy and bouncy with ease like when i was a boy at the playground, yahoo.2

Me too, took getting my thyroid sorted out to my satisfaction, no one else's stupid numbers game. Im looking 70 in the eye before December and feel better in myself than I have since my early 30! Trouble for now is the UK heat is getting to me right now, so soon after a very cold spell after a previous warm one!
Being fit and healthy is a right.5 -

Same here. Not that I didn't have fun when I was younger. But I feel like my life got so much better since 35 (seven years ago). I have always been a very energetic person and did cool stuff all through my teens and twenties but I held back a lot because I was extremely self-conscious about my weight/body. I would say no to most things that were too physically active or would put me in the center of attention. Now being a healthy average weight, I am so free to do whatever I want all of the time. The only self-consciousness now is being a little too old for this or that. I do it anyway.5 -
Totally agree, OP. I'm 68 and "episodically" in the gym ... a few months on, a few months off. When I am in a regular lifting/intervals groove like I am now, I feel invincible. I don't know if I will (or even want to) make it to 100, but however long I am here, I want to maintain my independence & sufficient physical stamina to get through the inevitable set-backs that happen to everyone. I had a test-run last fall when I suffered a major bleed and was hospitalized twice, then had to come back from severe anemia over a few months. If I had been debilitated prior to that, it would have been very bad and probably the beginning of a steady down-hill course.3

I'm 31 and primarily row with people who are 50+ years old and are significantly better than I am (they have also all been rowing for significantly longer than I have). I have no reason to assume that "old" people can't be strong and fast and no real desire to be or feel younger than I am.
Yes I was potentially stronger when I was 15 than I am now as I was a competitive rock climber then. That said if there are 52 year olds who are stronger than me in and out of the boat...
My real goal is to keep rowing and competing so that when I get into my 50s and 60s my time handicap will be a serious advantage AND I'll have had 20 plus years of rowing under my belt.6 -

Approaching 40 and really feel closer to 30. I’m in much better shape than when I was younger and have a new found level of comfort in my own skin that I didn’t have before. Fabulous 40 here I come!2

68 here. Feel like in my 40s. Get my age guessed at early 50 consistently.4

I'm 63, pretty active, strong, independent, capable, happy, healthy. This is how 63 is supposed to feel and look, for me.
I don't understand why I'd want to be younger, or have anyone think I am.7 -
I'm 64, look 64, feel 64 and happen to be pretty darn fit for a 64-year old dude. It's the other people my age, most of them look and feel older. Can't help them, have my hands full with myself.4

52 and feel better and stronger than when i was in my 20s..and i don't look it, i've been told...i wish i started this healthier ways when i was in my 20s...but hey i am here now!2

I'm 45, told I don't look 45, told lately in a natural athlete and I feel at the top of my game. Ya I have aches and pains but I'm never giving up2

I’m 61 but on most of my adventure travel trips people think I’m 45 probably because I outhike most on the trip. I don’t have any physical issues and I am not on ant medications which I believe is a big contributing factor. I take vitamins and workout every day. It takes me longer to lose weight but I am lucky to have good genes so I will probably always look much younger than my age. I do believe having a positive outlook on life and enjoying life to the fullest is a big factor.3

I'm packing up for a little trip with my smurf coloured race bike now. Not a long trip as I have a knee injury that disagrees with this, but probably about 50km outside of town. Basically just for geocaching, maybe seeing some nice nature (here? rather not) and for a bit of fresh air.2

Mental outlook is so important. For anyone who does not suffer from a serious condition, it is all about mindset.
There are so many negative age messages in our society that work to create a "limiting" perspective on aging. While you can't keep from getting old (beats the alternative!) you certainly have input into how you age.
74 and going strong.5 -
63 years young and I plan on doing triathlons at least until I'm 100.....I consider myself very fortunate that I am able to still be active after the decades of abuse I heaped upon my body!5

Oops, not a 50km cycle ride but closer to 85. Time flies when you're having fun. Basically, I was wondering if I ended up too far from home. Turned out I was. Lets see what my injured knee will have to say about that.3

I turn 60 in August. People guess my age at 50. I feel great. My body is not perfect but, I love it curves and all.2

I am 50. Garmin says my VO2max is that of an excellent 20 year old. But everyone who knows me knows that I am really just a 10 year old boy.3

I just turned 50. I have rheumatoid arthritis but I still make it to the gym for two hours most days. I will be one of those women doing deadlifts when she's 80 years old.
Even with my RA, I feel better than I did in my 30s.4 -
I'm 61. Having a group of friends who are very fit has helped me to maintain a healthy lifestyle as well as providing an active, fun social group. This picture was taken last July during a group training ride on the Mont Tremblant bike course in preparation for the Ironman race. Five of the people in this photo are over 55 years old:
