This is my 2nd round of this challenge. I was close to my goal but did not meet it. I worked on a Level 5 - 25 pounds for the last challenge and lost a total of 23.8lbs. I love the challenges because they hold me accountable and make me aware of my choices when want to eat and snack. My weigh-in day is a Friday but joining on the first.

Exercise at least 5 days a week or a minimum of 210 exercise minutes: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. ✅
Meet or stay under calorie goals at least 6 days a week (including eating back exercise calories burned). 734 exercise calories left to consume back. ✅
May Goals:
Reduce alcohol consumption to a maximum of 2 drinks per week (2 pints, or 2 glasses of wine for example) 0/2 so far, but I am going out for dinner tonight and then seeing a musical so I will probably have 1 drink 😊

I'm also diabetic, this challenge happens to line up with my quarterly A1C checks. I did my blood work earlier this week, but haven't heard the results yet. REALLY anxious to hear... after the last challenge I dropped some weight and very consistently worked out. Hopefully it shows on the blood work! Anyway in addition to my weight loss goal I'm going to set a A1C goal of 6.0. As a point of reference I was 11.8 when diagnosed 2 years ago, been hovering in the mid 6s since, up again to 6.8 in January.

Off to a good start!! A little background... During the Feb-May challenge my weight loss stalled (I think because I was sloppy with CICO counting and because I'm getting closer to my ultimate goal weight of 150lbs). So, after a good amount of research, I've fine-tuned my CICO counting methods and started lifting weights (to build muscle which will burn more calories). So although I'm actually up 1 pound since last week, I am OK with that as it's not unexpected when starting a new weight training program. And best of all I feel like my clothes are fitting better and I am feeling stronger. So I'm not going to cry over the scale anymore. Also, I think I'll include my body measurements here for fun and to verify changes (always nice to have more data:).
Anyway, glad to see so many people joining this challenge and I'm looking forward to a great three months with you! Good luck all…
