Trying ONCE again!!

I have tried (dabbled) in everything from WW to South Beach Diet. I never seem to be able to stay on track. I start off strong and then stop following through. I'm very bad at tracking my foods as well. I just turned 50 and I'm scared that if I don't get into shape now - I'll not enjoy my retirement phase in life. I'm going to start weight training and simple cardio. Any advise would be helpful!

Do you like eating low carb?
Often, folks who keep falling off the wagon are trying to do too much stuff that they don't really want to do. So IMHO the key is finding a way of eating and an activity level that keeps you at the right calorie level to maintain a healthy weight for the rest of your life, that is practical and enjoyable.
All you NEED to lose weight is a calorie deficit. Different diets, meal schedules, macro plans, etc can help by making it easier to get you there.

I've never done low carb, but I'd bet there are lots of low carb recipes in the Recipes forum. Be patient, keep learning as you go, don't give up after one bad day (learn from it instead), and good luck :drinker:2 -
I'm back on again. Spent time in the gym and tracking my food. I'm 54, 270lbs, and done with being tired, sore, lazy, and "eating my feelings". I need to stop thinking I'm missing out when others are eating, or what they're eating. Had that issue since I was a kid.1
