Today's Thoughts: Staying calm. I've been stuck at my desk the last couple days and my body seems to be fighting something. Gastro. Inflammation. Stress. Settling into the 140's. I don't know. I'm going to practice not over thinking it. I'm down. I'm keeping it down. I seem to know what I'm doing. And, I have a good shot at hitting a new low heading into July. If not, if it bobbles again, it's 3 10th's of a pound away. I've got this.

- Log daily in MFP - focus on daily calorie deficit goal of 500 This is very reasonable for me
- No calorie intake after 8pm
- Hit Fitbit step goal of 5000, then increase to 6000 - 7 day average 4294
- Hit active minutes goal of 25 minutes daily, then increase to 30 - 7 day average 88
- Hit strength building exercise goal of 6 days, then increase to 7 - 7 day average 3

May was not a great month for me. I had way to much going on (vacation, graduation, end of the year programs/projects, and parties) every time I turned around. School is out for the summer though and I am ready to get back on track. Being a mother of 5 (2 which are adults supposedly) can take a toll on you sometimes. Thank goodness I have an amazing family and husband that help me.

June 28 - 162.1 - I had a nice rib feed last night. I used to have ribs once a week, then once a month, now this was the first time I have had them in 5 months. It might tip the scale for a few days, but I got a little tired of depriving myself all of the time and barely losing any weight. I don't regret this. Nor can I eat only 1 rib for 270 calories, I had 6 plus accompaniments. I suppose that I will have to stay away from them again for a long while.

Today's Thoughts: Geeze. I thought yesterday was Friday. And I typo'ed the weigh in. I'm doing ok, and I'm gradually getting the early & late month spikes down. This is going much slower than I anticipated, but I am making steady progress. I tend to have to fight with myself at the end of the month when I'm not at my 5 lb goal. I keep telling myself that it's a Big Audacious Goal, and that baby steps count. I'm getting there. And the slow progress is setting me up for long term maintenance. I know what I need to do, and the lifestyle changes that are necessary to not have to continually focus on weight loss and just concentrate on maintaining healthy.

Notes: today was my official last weigh in for the June. I am down 2.3 lbs which I honestly didn’t think I would make it at some point. I think going back on IF plus putting my food intake back to 1200 allowed calories and eating back some of my workout calories is what helped me bring this back down by 5 lbs this week from last week. I’m gonna stick to this plan through next month and hopefully continue to manage some small losses or at least maintain.
This past week I went in to see my surgeon (Tuesday) and he isn’t happy at all with the progress of the hematoma that developed after my anchor tummy tuck. It’s still quite large and bulging and as it’s now been 9 weeks, he’s ready to try something a bit more invasive to fix this problem. I go into outpatient surgery next Wednesday to remove all the fluid and gunk buildup that is there. Hopefully this will flatten my tummy properly and my issues with this hematoma will finally be over. The bad thing is my recovery will now be longer than I’d hope so I don’t think I’ll be able to take my kids to the pool any time this summer 😭. It’s something we were all looking forward to doing together all summer long.

I don't usually, and my calorie limit is 1200 as well - is there a benefit to doing so? And can you remind what your IF schedule is? Mine is 8pm-8am and I'm ready to extend it.0

June 29 - 162.4 - Residual still from the rib dinner, I am sure that tomorrow's weigh in will be better - my body is always slow to catch up. I am glad that there is one more day in the month to establish the end of month number.

Why I know I’m very bummed about it all. So yea I decided instead of eating my maintenance calories which I found to be way too much and honestly I think I was using it as an excuse to go overboard, I thought that instead I would stay at 1200 and eat some of my workout calories back which as worked well. I always say if you want to eat a bit more work out a bit more and all is good. It worked well for me this week. Let’s see if I can continue to have this success next month. My current IF is 16:8 and my eating window is between 12 and 8pm. Occasionally I will move that depending on certain special occasions. It on a regular day this is what it is.4 -
Thanks @mari_moulin That makes sense. I forgot you're on maintenance. I think I'm going to stick to not consuming my exercise calories and move my eating window to 10am - 8pm and see if I can boost the loss rate1

June 29 – …..196.8 ….. I was hoping to AT LEAST get back to my starting weight but that’s pretty impossible right now. Lucky for me I don’t give up. I will work hard today to end even better tomorrow, even though it won’t be goal it will still be success! One day at a time……
