    I wouldn't ask them any. I also wouldn't be in a relationship with someone I didn't trust completely or be with someone who didn't feel comfortable being honest with me, even if they thought it would hurt me.

    Just as I never felt the need to go through my husband's phone, I wouldn't need to hook him up to a lie detector. 😌

    NY Times had an article about a study on kids, lying and IQ.
    2,3 and 4 year olds were told not to look in a box and they'd get a prize.
    Over 80% of them looked as soon as the proctor left the room.
    IQ tests showed kids who lied about looking scored higher than those that looked and told the truth.
    Unexpected part, for me, was that the kids who followed directions and didn't look scored the highest.
    Has nothing to do with lie detectors but thought it was interesting.

    Actually, lie detector tests are not made of gold.

    "A polygraph instrument is made up of three main components. These are sensors attached to different body parts that collect and record data during the lie detector testing phase. These components are the cardio-sphygmograph, the pneumograph, and the galvanometer."
