Canadian expat living in Central America. It's too hot here to have a few extra pounds. This is my first challenge, and I look forward to this. I do Pilates for strength and flexibility, but the real workout is in my garden. We live on half acre on a hill side, and there is always lots of gardening to do.

Phooey! But ok, I did over-indulge on Saturday - emotional/frustration eating. Major problems with the so-called landscaper we hired to dig out new beds -- aside from never showing up when he promises and then working an hour or less per day, he dumped a load of clay fill into our beds instead of garden soil. Aaaggghhh! I'm so frustrated - I have perennials & annuals sitting in pots as I expected to have them in the ground 2 weeks ago. So I ate chocolate and other junk to comfort myself, which of course it did not. What did help was when I decided take back control, so I bought myself a small electric tiller and some cheap planters to hold the plants until the beds are actually ready, and I planted the annuals in my existing front-yard beds. They'll be crowded, but that's ok, they're in the ground and can be moved later. I HATE depending on unreliable people, and this guy takes the cake. Anyway, I know part of this bump up is water because I had way too much sodium, and I'm taking back control of my emotions and food as well as my garden. So there! (Sorry for the off-topic rant, but really it's not since most of us are familiar with eating in the face of frustration, and the post-bad-eating recriminations.)
6/25 - 160.4
I behaved myself yesterday and have my eating plan in place for today. All good. I moved my bigger perennials into bigger pots and put all the annuals intended for new beds into my existing beds so they're not in the tiny pots. I may start tilling a new space today. Not a peep from the so-called landscaper. Grrrr.
6/26 - 159
I won't hold my breath, but supposedly the "landscaper" will be here today to take back the clay he dumped in my flower beds, and then we're done and I can do the rest myself. I have all sorts of yard projects planned for after I get my plants in the ground, so yay summer! I also have an one-person art show opening Sunday, so I have to get my paintings organized today to hang tomorrow. And Friday a friend is dividing some perennials to give me more to plant. And Greek Fest runs tomorrow through Sunday -- always a wonderful event with GREAT food, mostly not too off-diet (except baklava). So I'm off for a nice walk now, then the paintings, then....Busy week! Have a lovely!
6/27 - 158.4
We fired the "landscaper" -- I feel SO much better. Ordering soil today and I'll do the rest myself. Big beds -- the whole back of the house other than patio + one side of the backyard + back of backyard. I can't wait to dig in the dirt -- and aside from the pleasure I get from playing with plants, it's great exercise and I don't snack. Yay!
6/28 - 159.6
Pizza. So sodium. I went over my calorie goal, but barely, and I did a fair amount of work in the garden, so all good.
6/29 - 159
Lots of wheeling soil from driveway to garden yesterday. Back at it today. Yay!

@jenn990205 I’m sorry to hear about the allergy. I’ve had that happen with a blood pressure med and two anti-inflammatory drugs. Now there is a warning on the pharmacy profile about anti-inflammatories and they didn’t want to fill a script for something with aspirin in it. Yes that is an anti-inflammatory but I don’t react to it. It took several minutes to convince the pharmacist that it was okay. I hope your rash is gone soon, steroids can be awesome short term!
@mrs_sutsie Thank you for the wonderful pics! Your daughter is beautiful and I love all of the gowns! I live vicariously through others prom pics because I never went to prom.
@StatChicBayes I have always liked being short (5’1”) but there are definitely inconveniences, like not being able to reach half of the shelves in my kitchen! I hate climbing even on the 2-step ladder so my storage space is limited.2 -

@logancsmama You’re not stuck. Your body is trying to figure out what is going on and will adjust to your new plan. You added exercise. Give it time.3

@vdecosta86 When I drink a glass of wine I also have a large glass of water. 1:1 That seemed to help with the gain I would get from the sugary carbs.5

Ending weight round 80- ???, for mental health reasons stopped weighing at 6/19. Picking this back up on 6/22 hopefully refreshed and ready to work!
UGW - somewhere in the mid-130's.
Goal for round 81 - FOCUS! Weight loss was great, then stalled a bit due to some stress and insomnia. Took a little break from the challenge in order to free up some brain space. I believe physical health follows mental health and I must be in the right mind space in order to track food intake.
6/22 - 140.9. Not as much damage as I expected after taking a few days off. Traveling today/tomorrow with extended family so no scale. When I get home tomorrow night I’m going to grocery shop and meal plan for the week and do my best to hit a deficit the last 8 days of the challenge.
6/23 - traveling no scale
6/24 - 142.0. Knew I had to face the music. This weekend consisted of fried salty food, cake, and not as much physical activity. Add in my TOM due tomorrow and that I haven’t “gone” in a couple of days due to travel, and I’m not surprised at all. I’m unhappy with the choices I made, but they are done and it’s time to move on. I’ve committed to movement every day and tracking my food to stay in a deficit each day the rest of this challenge. My husband is on board too after this weekend!
6/25 - 140.9. There goes some of the bloat from the weekend salty foods. Wins yesterday: hydrated very well, 30 min on elliptical, 30 min walk, in a caloric deficit, slept well. Ready for another good day.
6/26 - 140.4. Pleasantly surprised as my TOM hit and it’s brutal (sorry for the TMI). I have cramps, I’m super irritable and I’m hungry all the time. I gave it to the cravings yesterday quite a bit too. Won’t be surprised if it goes up again when that catches up to me but happy for the drop today. Wins yesterday: HIIT class, 2.75 mile walk, good water intake. Today I need to focus on diverting my attention from the binge cravings.
6/27 - 139.6. Shocked it went down, I thought it would be up. I feel so heavy and gross this week (thanks, TOM). And I've been so hungry. I did better yesterday with managing that - deciphering if I was truly hungry or just stressed - and I was truly hungry so I ate. Wins yesterday: 4 mile run, 4 mile walk. Hydrated well. Listened to hunger cues. We will see if the scale stays low or if this extra food catches up with me at some point.
6/28 - 140.4. Rough round. All my fault though. Gave in to the binge cravings yesterday. Wins: RPM class, hydrated well. Other than that, I ate way too much and was way too sedentary outside of my gym workout.
6/29 - 140.7. All due to my choices. I’m not in the head space for tracking and dieting right now. I need to either be ok with my weight for now and take a break, or get myself together.

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

6/27 124.5 Didn’t drink enough water yesterday. Surprised I’m not hungry after the carb load. Interested to see what happens in the next couple of days.
6/28 126.0! LOL Is this the (temporary) result of the carbs from Wednesday?? Big dinner out with quilty friends last night. It must have been salty - I drank water with dinner, had 50 oz in bottles that I drank before I got home at 10 and drank at least another pint before I went to bed.
6/29 125.5 Yup, the carb effect from Wednesday is leaving. Yesterday had a small salad with 4 fairly large shrimp for lunch. Ate some leftover asparagus in the evening and had a handful of Pork Cracklins. May get together with sewing friends today. No magnesium and no TMI event!6 -
I had a wonderful last round! I hope I can keep it up and make my goal in the next couple of course. Let’s do this!

Day/Weight/Comment
6/22: 187.4 (Forgot to post yesterday but I maintained at the same low weight and went out the night before for wings and fries. Not sure how I maintained without a workout either. That’s a plus!)
6/23: 189.4 (wow I definitely feel sore this morning from yesterday. I did a 5K training workout but most likely it’s from hosting a party and being on my feet all day and some dancing too. I made a whole BBQ feast but had very little of everything. I’m sure it’ll all go down once my soreness clears.)
6/24: 190.4 (Not what I wanted to see but it is what it is. I did a Zumba class yesterday and made grilled chicken kabobs, rice and asparagus for dinner.)
6/25: 190.0 (A step in the right direction! I did not do a workout and make some potato corn chowder for dinner last night.)
6/26: 189.6 (Weekend weight gain is slowly coming off. I'm hoping for a whoosh soon from how good I've been the last few days at sticking to my goals. I added some more running to my 5K training. I'm now running 15 out of 30 minutes. I have to say my legs are on fire now! I made some quesadillas and chips with salsa since I was too lazy to cook.)
6/27: 189.2 (My body only likes to release 0.4 pounds a day haha. Still hoping for that whoosh but I'm soooo sore from the Power Circuit class I went to last night at the gym. I'm sure tomorrow I'm going to be 100% worse. I had some pasta for dinner last night.)
6/28: 187.4 (Yay I maintained my weight for a week! 😂 I’m shocked I got to this but at the same time I’m not. I had some major stomach issues all week where I was constipated and yesterday i was in the bathroom maybe 6 times. Very odd! I went on a 5K training session last night super sore and I had grilled steak, baked potato and broccoli.)
6/29: 190.8 (Pretty bummed out but I’m sore, bloated from a burrito I had last night and exhausted. I’ve never gained this much overnight before on my journey so I’m hoping it’ll all even out next Friday.)

If all goes well I should see my goal of 60 pounds lost since starting my journey and get close or into the high 310’s.
06/22 322.8 I took it easier yesterday due to the 110 heat here so this is a loss of the water weight I had put on yesterday.
06/23 322.2 So close... My steps remain good, a little over 7k yesterday if the midday heat hadn’t been so bad I would have hit 8k. Today the rain and a bit of muscle tenderness is going to keep my steps lower. I’d rather nurse it for a day than pull it and be down a week, which is what happened last time I didn’t listen to my body.
06/24 321.4 Yay! That makes a little over 60 pounds lost since I started this journey. Hopefully I’ll see the end of the 320’s soon, they have been a little rough for me. I didn’t rest enough yesterday so today will be a full rest day to deal with a still sore calf muscle.
06/25 321.0 I’m so happy to see another loss. I think I have figured out some of what has been causing the bouncing and have adjusted my food plan. Judging by the lack of bounce since the shift I might have this figured out now.
06/26 321.8 Inflammation and hormones are the reason for this bounce. I’m also very hungry this morning. I’ve had the same thing happen at the same point in my cycle since I started this journey and usually I end up binging around dinner time. I’m going to try to make a plan and hopefully stay on track.
06/27 319.0 It’s the 310’s finally! I think that I lost all the water that has been masking weight loss. I double checked this four times, on the fourth it was a little lower, but I decided to record the higher since it came up first. I won’t be surprised if I have a bounce back up a little, that happens to me sometimes after a high drop. I stayed on track yesterday and added in some instant breakfast to my plain yogurt to satisfy my chocolate craving. When I wanted crunchy mid afternoon I snacked on an apple and peanut butter instead of crackers and cereal.
06/28 319.2 I was active yesterday, but I don’t think I got in all my water. I’m just happy that I didn’t end up with a huge bounce up.
06/29 318.4 I was expecting a bounce up because I started weight lifting yesterday. It was kept on the lighter side though because I didn’t want to over push myself. Over the last few days I’ve found myself a little hungry midday and today I’m shifting some calories to my lunch in hopes of curbing it before it’s a problem. If it still continues I may shift to planning a snack, something I’ve been avoiding doing because I prefer the three meals route. My nsv yesterday was finally starting weight lifting, I had been finding excuses to not do it for some time now.

Day/Weight/Comment
06/11 …..197.7….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
06/22 …..197.4 ….. A great day for me yesterday. Yesterday’s stats: 1300 Calories In / 3211 Calories Out. 18 Net Carbs. 21,607 Total Steps & 9.14 Total Miles. Lots of work activity. Planned exercise was 104 minutes of yardwork, 60 minutes of heavy cleaning & 32 minutes of Dancing. Sample song (I’ve used this one before) was “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder.
06/23 …..196.4 ….. Yesterdays stats: 1397 Calories In / 2391 Calories Out. 19 Net Carbs. 10,305 Total Steps & 4.36 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 9 minutes. More paperwork yesterday & less activity. I did manage to get in a 15 minute dance workout. Sample song “Sweet Emotion” by Aerosmith. .
06/24 …..196.4 ….. I’m the Exact…. Same…. Weight… as yesterday & a little disappointed after burning so many calories & having so many steps & miles. However, I know weight loss isn’t linear so I will keep the faith (and patience). Yesterday’s stats: 1392 Calories In / 3279 Calories Out. 11 Net Carbs. 20,180 Total Steps & 8.54 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Steps Hours & I slept 4 hours & 54 minutes
06/25 …..196.6 …..
Yesterday’s stats: 1181 Calories In / 2407 Calories Out. 28 Net Carbs. 10,292 Total Steps & 4.36 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 7 minutes and I awoke a bit tired.
06/26 …..196.6 ….. A well planned day yesterday with no slip-ups. I still think the scale should be budging more. I have not been drinking my water like I should, that is the only change. I’ve studied my history and most of the time when I have high step or high calorie burn days (heavy work or planned exercise) I tend to not reach my water goal (too busy burning). I will have to work harder on that. Yesterdays stats: 1153 Calories In / 2653 Calories Out. 15 Net Carbs. 13,346 Total Steps & 5.65 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours & 48 minutes. I walked 27 minutes at moderate pace as a planned exercise.
06/27 …..196.4 ….. Better but strange. I just thought there would be less resistance but that’s okay. I raised 4 kids & half of their friends so I have the patience of a saint. Very very physically busy work day yesterday so my numbers are fantastic for me. Yesterdays stats: 1393 Calories In / 3070 Calories Out. 15 Net Carbs. 19,354 Total Steps & 8.25 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours (I have no idea how I missed one!) I slept 3 hours & 28 minutes but woke up feeling refreshed. I know I’ll be tired later. I anticipate another hard day today but we shall see. I did some steady & vigorous (at times) cabin cleaning for 152 minutes. I fit in a dance set with just 3 songs for 13 minutes. Sample song “Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top[
06/28 …..196.4 ….. I’m happy to be the same today. I made a wrong turn yesterday, but just for a minute. My son’s friend brought over a large pepperoni thin crust pizza and 9 huge pizzeria fluffly cheese stix for all of us. I caved and ate 2 slices of the pizza but ignored the gynamious cheese stix. I am happy to say that I stayed on track for the rest of the day & night, not turning it into a binge. That’s a WIN for me! I stayed within calorie if you count in yesterday’s exercise. I was over on carbs. Very short on water yesterday. I drank about 10 oz & 3 cups of black coffee. I’m going to work harder on that today. Yesterday’s stats: 1671 Calories In / 2930 Calories Out. 17,324 Total Steps & 7.33 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 17 minutes & woke up feeling great. I cleaned cabins yesterday for 93 minutes which is labor intensive & involves a lot of steps. I also took a planned 21 minute walk earlier in the day. Have a great weekend everyone!
06/29 …..196.8 ….. A perfect low carb day until……..10:00 PM when I made a late dinner for my son of tacos. I was hungry & couldn’t resist . I had two with cheese & sour cream. The meat, cheese & SC was carb friendly but the shells were 15 carbs each! I thought about having the filling without the shells but it was those crunchy shells I couldn’t resist so that explains the scale. Yesterdays stats: 2188 Calories In / 2644 Calories Out. 49 Net Carbs. 12,559 Total Steps & 5.31 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 33 minutes Wow!. I did 100 minutes of vigorous cleaning & 26 minutes of dance. Sample song “Shakin’ “ by Eddie Money.

Female 66, height 5’ – Goal this round – under 160.
Back again after vacation. Lots of driving, active visits but no control on food. Good thing my kids are into healthy eating. Going to a family reunion in 3 weeks and would really like to feel fit and a little weight drop for it. Right now am just tired (as always after days of driving). Plan for the next 10 days – Daily activity – stretch/warmup, ab exercises, gardening. Food – Log all (1200 – 1400 cals.) and raw veggies every day. When I feel tired and unmotivated, either rest or just do some mindless stuff like weeding or housework – don’t surf the web and snack!Round 39 (1st for me) – SW 163, -.2Day/Weight/Comment

06/21 – 162.4 My weight before vacation was 162.2, so not up much considering travel snacking and out of control LNS the last 2 days since I got back.
06/22 – 162.4 Did go a bit over in cals. with LNS but within reason. Got a nasty project out of the way – removing double-sided tape from a window frame so I can paint. It has been on there more than 20 years. The trick was using my hairdryer heat to soften it up. Funny, the more I do, the less I overeat.
06/23 -
06/24 – 163 So bad this weekend on chocolate. Always hard after a trip and I’m dead tired. Then I eat too much and feel worse. Finally feeling like I’ve caught up on sleep today and got some better food choices so should improve.
06/25 – 162.8 Tired and a bit sore but so happy to have put the first coat of paint on my office and love the color. Kept the cals. down and no LNS except for a ½ cup of 2% Greek yogurt at 1 a.m. when I finished painting.
06/26 – 162.6
06/27 – 162.6
06/28 – 162.8 No LNS but did say up rather late and even though I didn’t eat more supper than usual, it was a higher calorie meal. Busy day today but hoping to get in some exercise.

Started Round 81
Female – Age: 31 – 5’ 8” - New Orleans, LA, USA
OSW: 169.8 lbs (9/4/2018)
UGW: 145 lbs
MGW: 148 lbs
Background: My kiddo turns 2 in one month! For his whole first year, I was BFing and didn’t worry about my weight at all (although some came off without trying). After we weaned, I actually gained weight because I hadn’t adjusted my intake from what I ate while nursing and automatically burning more calories. So I started tracking again, and lost 10 pounds in 2 months. I gained a little back at the end of last year, but I’ve been much more focused in 2019. As of the start of this round, I’m 10 pounds down from the beginning of the year and 18 pounds down since my start last year.
I’ve been much more consistent with working out than I have in years – I’ve been getting to my kickboxing gym three times per week unless we are out of town, and I can feel the improvement in my technique and stamina.
Round 81 Goals: Stick with the plan that I’ve set up for the next week! Breakfasts and lunches for the work week are already prepped. Dinners are planned and fit within my goals. I have the time to get to the gym 3 times. Would love to see a weight below 149 on the scale, but mostly want to make sure I’m solidly at/below that 150.
06/22 – 150.2: A new low that I haven’t seen since before getting pregnant. Morning workout at the gym was circuits of HIIT with a different trainer than normal, but I (IMHO) crushed it. Had pizza with the fam for dinner but made some smart choices and didn’t feel like I overate.
06/23 – 150.0: FINALLY! I had been creeping towards 150 all year but haven’t been this low since before getting pregnant (2.5 years ago). All food was tracked and under calorie goal, but not the best choices. Lots of meal prep tonight!
06/24 – 151.8: Womp. Normal fluctuation, but this one did sting a little after yesterday’s excitement. Eating at work was 100% on target, water was ok, and evening workout was awesome. For dinner, I’m glad I took the time to weigh my ingredients even though it was a recipe I have made many times before and already had built into my recipe tracker (SkinnyTaste Skillet Chicken Cordon Bleu – so easy and one of our faves). I bought my “thin sliced” chicken breasts at a different store than normal, so they were bigger than I’ve gotten in the past, and my sliced ham weighed a little more too. Not a make or break (especially for a lean protein), but the recipe update was a difference of 100 calories! I try not to eat back my workout calories, but if I hadn’t updated the recipe, I likely would have allowed myself a little extra treat after dinner, based on a deficit that wasn’t as big as I had thought.
06/25 – 149.6: Might have broken the scale jumping up and down in excitement! My first weight below 150 and 20 pounds lost!
06/26 - 149.8: No workout yesterday and eating dinner a little later, so totally fine with the maintenance even though my calories were right on. We decided to go hang out with family last night, so instead of throwing my meal plan out the window, I offered to bring what I was making (and had already tracked) for dinner, and it went over well! NSV: I'm fitting back into most of the things in my pre-pregnancy wardrobe. It's opened up so many options that I've had to pass on over the last two years, so now I am dressing up a little more and I'm getting outfit compliments from my coworkers!
06/27 - 149.6 Nice! Only thing I wasn't happy about eating yesterday was the cookie cake for a coworker's bday, but I kept my piece small and tracked it as best as I could estimate and didn't have any other snacks during the day. Feeling good, and excited to get back to the gym tonight.
06/28 - 148.4 Another new low! Eating was completely on point (I’m getting a lot better about remembering to weigh/measure my final recipes, which helps with portion sizes and tracking), kickboxing workout class was good but not quite as intense as I wanted (it was focused more on technique, so still useful!), and water was pretty good. I’m off of work today, so just need to make sure I don’t fall into the trap of snacking at home!
06/29 - 147.6 And the lows just keep getting lower. Apparently these daily check-ins are just what I needed, because this is the most progress I’ve ever had in a week’s span of time. Finished out the weekdays completely faithful to my planned out meals, and only reasonable snacking. Just finished a nice and tough Saturday morning workout, which has become part of my weekend routine that I really look forward to! Tonight I’ll be indulging at a nice restaurant for my mom’s birthday, so the scale might go up a bit tomorrow, but I’m ok with that!

06/22: 136 -- Yesterday was a high carb day. Friends spent the night, so we had egg casserole and coffee cake for breakfast. Took a long walk before dinner ... and then indulged in tator tots and corn bread side with flank steak. Was super hungry at dinner, but stayed just below calories and since I wasn't hungry later when we made dessert, I skipped that!
06/23: 135 -- Another high carb day. My middle son got back Friday night and is flying out again today, so had egg casserole & coffee cake for breakfast. And then we had this awesome cranberry/walnut bread for dinner and I indulged in 2 pieces, plus fresh corn on the cob and watermelon from the farmer's market. Skipped dessert and did a long session on the elliptical, so squeaked in under calories. NSV -- I've been working on pushups since March -- starting with wall pushups and moving to lower surfaces. On Friday I did two unmodified full pushups!! Over the next 8 weeks I'll continue with pushup sets 3 times a week to see how many I can build up to!
06/24: 134.5 -- Interesting, as Friday and Saturday were both high carb days with low deficits. Took a long hilly walk yesterday and ended lower carb and larger deficit. I'm curious as to what happens tomorrow!
06/25: 133.5 -- Very nice! Zumba and strength class yesterday. Did my best to burn as many calories as possible in zumba....only got it up to 400. Don't know if I am getting wimpier, or just in better shape! Ran 5 miles today and ate a light lunch. Going out to dinner with my husband and a group at work tonight, should have enough of a buffer to make wise choices and not worry too much! Might be up tomorrow, but it was nice to see this NEW low!
06/26: 134.5 Out to Italian last night. There were only two dinner options that were not pizza or pasta, went for the hanger steak with arugula salad with shaved parmesan. Had one piece of bread, heirloom tomato salad to start and split tiramisu with my husband. The bite I had of my husband's pasta was delicious, but so was the steak and I'm glad for the choice I made. I also about 8 oz of red wine. I think the wine is what caused the blip. It appeared to be the kind of red wine that gives me a headache and makes me feel nasty. Walked and did zumba today. We will see what tomorrow brings!
06/27: 136.5 Two reasons for this bump as far as I can tell. One, I felt yucky yesterday, so eating was low enough, but off and I had lots of salt including pickle juice right before bed to see if that would help. Two....today is weigh-in day for another challenge, so it figures the number would be the highest this week!
06/28: 135 Coming down from whatever yesterday's blip was! Ran a 1000 calorie deficit yesterday....so expecting improvement.
06/29: 135.5 Not really sure what is up with this! A bit frustrated, though ostensibly still on track! On the other hand.... 1/2 pound a week is really what I'm aiming for. It's just the teasing ups and downs!!

@deepwoodslady My new go-to for low carb is cabbage! The leaves make a great wrap--a bit crunchier and hold up better than lettuce. Shred it finely and it makes a great substitute under stir-fry or taco fixings. An added benefit is it is more substantial than lettuce, so your jaw gets a nice workout too, and you feel you MUST have eaten something!6

This round ends on a Monday, which is usually my highest day of the week. So hopefully I can finally have a nice loss this round to help me out.
OSW: 178 in July of 2018
Rnd 79 EW: 148.7 (10 day avg: 148.38)
Rnd 80 EW: 148.0 (10 day avg: 147.22)
Goals for next 10 days:
1) to get between 7,500 and 10,000 steps everyday (extremely hard to do sitting at a desk for 8-9 hours a day)
2) do not want to see anything higher than 148.9 on the scale in this round
3) finally see a new low of 145.xxx (lowest weight so far was last round and it was 146.1)
06/22 - 146.0 really? Now my scale is just screwing with me, lol. Did a 36 hour fast yesterday to get back down and on track. Seemed it has worked well and I am back down to my lowest weight so far. 8 days left of the month and really hoping to make my goal. Come on 1/10 of a pound is all I need!
06/23 - 149.0 went to a salad place for lunch and had some drinks with dinner. Should not be this high. Maybe sodium
06/24 - 149.0 this is just annoying. Ate really low calorie yesterday, but did go out for breakfast. I just don't think my body agrees with restaurant food.
06/25 - 150.8 had an amazing 3 day weekend. Went golfing all day yesterday with my 2 older boys and my husband, but I did come home with a nice little sunburn. I am assuming this is the reason for another bounce up. Ate well under calories, but also lunch was out again at another restaurant on the golf course. Going to drink tons of water today and apply aloe and see what the next couple of days brings me.
06/26 - 149.0 I was hoping for something lower. Still hurting from my burn, but hopefully within the next couple of days will be gone. My weight has been so weird this round. I saw 148.3 on the scale and then bounced back up to 149.0. So I know this is just all water weight and will have to wait for it to leave. My trend weight is super high now to, so will just have to keep working on it I guess.
06/27 - 148.0 Still struggling to come back down. I was bitten by a spider over a month ago when we went to the river. It healed within a week and I never thought about it again. Sunday morning when I had my large spike in weight I noticed the spot was back. By yesterday it looked really bad and infected, so I went to the doctor. I guess it has turned into a really bad infection and I should have gone a month ago when I first saw it. Who knew! Now I am on 2 different antibiotics and an ointment. I am assuming my body is just trying to fight the infection and recover and holding onto the weight. I started the antibiotics yesterday, so I am hoping maybe this weekend I will be back down. I'm not going to stress or worry about eating under calories at this point. I don't want to get sick/nausea from not eating enough while taking these pills. I wasn't going to finish this round, but I need the accountability. I am not going to go over my calories, so hoping after I am better I will see a loss. Bonus: I can not have a sip of alcohol while on these pills due to my thyroid. It could cause me to have a stroke because of the massive dose of antibiotics that I am on. 12 days with absolutely no alcohol is going to be rough, especially through the 4th of July holiday. I am curious to see if I see a spike in my weight loss. I have never gone more than 3 days, much less 12!
06/28 - 148.0 woke up covered in a rash. I guess I am allergic to the antibiotics! Uuuugghhh, I was high on sodium last night to, so maybe that's the reason it didn't move at all. We will see what happens the rest of the round. I am now on steroids to get rid of the rash and a new antibiotic.
06/29 - 146.5 rash and swelling is gone. New antibiotic seems to be meshing well with me. Day 5 of no alcohol and back down to a reasonable weight. 2 more days, hoping to stay some where around this weight!

Day/Weight/Comment
06/22 145.0 ate very late last night so not surprised with the slight uptick. Meals planned for today so should be a good day food wise
06/23 145.5 didn’t drink enough water yesterday and had takeout Indian food so will be upping my water intake today
06/24 144.8 back down a bit, and happy didn’t gain much over the weekend. Friday’s are usually my lightest weight day so not surprised that haven’t seen round 80s end weight yet, but hope to be back there by mid week.
06/25 144.5 pretty typical Tuesday and finally slept 7 hours straight during the night (been waking up at 3am-4am the last week for an hourish).
06/26 144.2 ate very well yesterday and worked out so was hoping for more of a loss, but this is pretty consistent to with some of the weeks after a big loss that I lose at a slower pace. I am back to where I was at the end of round 80.
06/27 143.8 lowest weight I’ve seen, but only a .2 lb loss from last week so still a bit discouraged. Today’s another opportunity to continue sticking to the plan and hopefully a larger loss will come later in this round or next round.
06/28 144.0 going to try to do 120 oz of water today. I keep waking up thirsty so maybe 70 oz isn’t enough in the warmer weather.
06/29 144.0 good day yesterday and continuing into today so far. Going to the gym for 60 minutes than a movie. Pretty relaxing weekend planned9 -

I forgot to log one thing yesterday, but was still within cals.
Today was tough, had a meeting that was catered for (delicious sandwich), then met friends for dinner and drinks. I see this becoming a problem, being in a new city, meeting new people or having visitors and soooo many new places to discover, mainly around food.
The loss today was great, but now it's late and I won't be getting up early enough for my run, and more plans in the eve - oh what a difficult life I shouldn't be complaining...

9.5 fast. 8.30-19.30 11hrs eating
I had late dinner with beer on top of a rich lunch yesterday. Today, I didn't run or do yoga in the morning. Today's lunch was a pot luck - nice idea, but bad for controlled eating, I didn't go crazy and estimated 1000cals for that.
After work, I wanted to go for a bike ride, but had a flat tyre, so went for a non-C25K run instead which was good.
I'm trying to get into a fasting pattern, need to try out what works with work, exercise and being social. Today I stopped eating at 6, but then had one sweet after my bike disappointment, which added 1.5hrs, but I have to be honest. Anyway, I ramble..

14hrs fast. 9.30-20.30 -11hrs eat
Worked from home, started day with yoga & freeletics. Ate ok during day, went for a bike ride before dinner, but didn't make my steps. Dinner was healthy, had a bit of a snack afterwards, but it was planned as part of my dinner cals.
The real battle came about an hour later, not to stuff my face. I drank tea and looked through cupboards, but in the end I won and didn't snack, yay me!

17.45hrs fast. 14.15-21.15 - 7hrs eat
Good day today, managed to keep my eating window shorter as I pushed breakfast until I was really hungry. Also realised that I wrote down my fast/eat windows wrong.
It was very hot today, so went for another bike ride instead of a run.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

06/22 136 18/30 accomplished. Was able to get off work early today but I was so tired I passed out when I had chores and meal preps...😥😥😥 I also just found out my day off on Monday is no longer happening. I should be there for three hours only (just to organize inventory) but who knows. I want this rounds food choices to be better. This job won't be getting any easier and if I am stationed here then I need to learn to adapt to my new environment. So far I have worked two weeks straight...I don't think I have ever worked so hard in my life, which I don't mind because I love it, it's just the meal preps that are getting to me
06/23 137 18/30 I messed up..,chocolate got to me. Starting Monday I will be meal prepping and eating better. I am ready for a restart
06/24 136.4 I messed up another day...but the good news is I got all my meal prep done for the rest of the week. I am all set to go. 18/30
06/25 137.6 a gain as expected. 19/30 accomplished
06/26136.8 I wanted to be down to 130 by the end of June but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. Although normally I would be upset by this, i know I have been working hard and I am not going to get down on myself. It will come, i will just have to continue practicing patience. It's not the end of the day but because all my meals are preplanned for me and having an active job, i know I will stick the course today. So 20/30 accomplished
