Too few calories?

Hi, I am a 54 year old woman and it has been very hard for me to lose. Maybe I am not eating enough or the wrong things? I’m trying to stay low carb. Can someone view my diary and let me know please :)

Sorry to hear youre not seeing the results of your effort yet! How long have you been trying and how many calories are you eating?

Like the above person said, accuracy might be key especially if your calorie intake needs to be fairly low. Things like cooking oils and butter are crazy high in calories for example we buy lurpak butter that is about 740 cals per 100g! It sounds tedious but weight how much of those sorts of things you would normally use and see if they are sabotaging you!

Exercise is the other thing that can tip the balance. I think just aiming to move more will help. Workouts and going for runs and walks are great but even just taking stairs, being extra vigorous when washing or cleaning, going for a walk in the ad breaks when watching tv.

weight loss is not about what you eat but the math. eating fewer calories than your body uses regularly over time.

your diary is not open to public.

are you using a food scale? for EVERYTHING?

how did you determine your calorie goal to eat? how much do you have to lose to be at a healthy weight?

    some useful links

PS what you eat DOES matter for feeling full (satiety) and overall heatlh but not directly for weight loss if you are accurately weighin and logging all the in's and staying in a deficit.
