07/19 - 156.3 - I decided to weigh since this is the last opportunity this round to do so. I'm a little disappointed its so high but I'm still dealing with TOM and 6 days of going a little crazy with food won't come off in 3 days. I think the worst part, mentally, is that this is where I plateaued for so long and now I'm back here. Hopefully it's a little easier coming off this time. I'm back to intermittent fasting and, despite not having gone grocery shopping yet, I've managed to cook and bring in a healthy lunch for work, a green smoothie for snacking, and another small snack in case I need to chew on something instead of drinking. Luckily, this morning, I am feeling a little slimmer and not so ugly bloated as I was yesterday. I also got my first night of decent sleep all week last night so I'm hoping that will help quite a bit. Guess it helped taking those water pills, drinking all that water, and getting some fiber supplement in as this is the first day since Friday last week I haven't felt like my stomach is so big its going to leave stretch marks from bloating (it really wasn't, but it sure felt that way after awhile). BBQ tonight for the baseball team but going to try to keep it simple. Saving some calories for that. Kayaking tomorrow so I'll get a decent workout in.

07/15 - Best friend in town until tomorrow morning at like 3am. I didn't want to look at the scale because I know I'm up horrendously and I cannot do that to my mental health (plus TOM is on its way any day and that's not helping the scale). Have an okay lunch. Just leftovers. Hoping by end of this round I'll be back to my normal weight and feeling less bloated and down on myself for splurging. But I only get to see her about once a year so I took a step back. And boy did my body not like going back to my old ways. I felt like crap most of the weekend. But she has her favorite spots she wants to go to because she can't get them back home so I obliged, to my body's protests.
07/16 - Was up at 3am to drop best friend off at airport. Didn't sleep well at all (really woke up at 1am and didn't fall asleep until well after 10pm). Also still feeling bloated and bleh so I decided for my mental health, I will not weigh in until I get back into my routine for a little while. I don't think I could handle seeing a big gain (which I'm sure is there) without going off the deep end. I know its just a blip, but I don't want to risk it. Plus TOM is going to make the scale even worse for me. Instead, I'll check in and read about ya'll's successes to get me through. I know I can come back from this, just gotta give it time. First real day back on schedule (yesterday I took my friend out to a nice dinner at a place I've never been to so I went a little over calories I'm sure) but today I have things planned out and an early start so hopefully I'll get plenty of extra movement in to help move some of this crud in my gut. Got myself some lemon water to drink while my coffee cools to a drinkable temperature and flavor water through the day. Yesterday I drank almost 100oz which goes to show how much I needed to flush and rehydrate my body after this weekend. With this early start, I'm hoping I'll succeed in doing the same (I'm already over 20oz in! And that's an hour before I'm normally at work)
07/17 - So I was doing really well getting back on track nutrition-wise until the baseball game went sour (the other coach starting yelling and screaming at everyone, especially our team, our coaches, and all the parents in the stands). So BF (the coach) and I went to get dinner to cool off after (and he can get his favorite drink) and, although I only had a couple chips and a small chimichanga from the a la carte, I'm sure I went over calories since I didn't plan that in. Hopefully not too much but I definitely feel the salt bloat today. TOM started so I'm hoping that a good chunk of this bloat and excess weight (that I'm still afraid to look at) will disappear after the next couple days. I won't get to find out until next round as this is tournament week and I'm at the BF's until Sunday night. Probably best I stay away from the scale and don't get tempted. I don't want to mess up my mindset (which is already messed up just from feeling bloated and heavy).
07/18 - We are out of the tournament as of last night. No more baseball games ): But we have a team bbq on Friday night and then BF starts his 6 week softball thing on Sunday (they do double headers to condense the timeline). I'm well under calories for yesterday if MFP is to be trusted (fitbit says I burn about 2200 a day which sounds about right for my average day of walking for work and other minor things (housework, cooking, etc) and I only had 1200-1300 (I have mine set at 1500 since I was struggling to lose at 1200) yesterday. Was so hot when I left work (110 degrees) so I was not at all hungry. Then to save cash (since we have food truck for work today) I only got a hot dog from concession stand. It did well enough but MFP says I'm under calories by a little more than 700, including those added from fitbit (I keep my setting at sedentary so that I don't mess up my calorie count too much when fitbit is included). Also said in 5 weeks I should be at 142lbs! That's assuming my weight is still 154 and I'm not sure. Since no game tonight I suppose I could weigh in tomorrow I just don't know if I really want to see the leftover weekend damage plus TOM weight right now. I'll decide in the morning if I can mentally handle it without going off the deep end.

07/14 130.4, creeping down...floor exercise day. Staying strong
07/15 129.8 Holy Moly, I’m doing it! Back in the 120’s after 20 yrs!! Goin for a run today. Psyched!
07/16 129.4 Still trekking down on the scale. Today is floor and upper body day again. Still achy from 7/14.
07/17 129.8 Ah well, still in the 120’s but my evening debauchery of wine and ice cream and brownies is causing remorse this morning.
07/18 129.8. The scale’s just teasing me now. Holding so steady, like a threat to rise but refusal to fall. A run today should help and another day of mindful eating.
07/19 129!! Cruising down!! Will I see 128 in the next two days??! OMG, it’s possible. But I’m going camping next 3 days. No scale, so I’ll have to check in on day three. Oh the suspense!

UGW - somewhere in the mid-130's.
Goal for round 83 - discipline, get myself in the right head space. I do well for a couple of rounds, and then stagnate for a couple. Last round was not indicative of real life with travel, different work hours, and a small medical procedure at the end that has left me swollen and retaining fluid. I really want to regroup this round and get where I need to be mentally. But I need to find the drive. That's my biggest hurdle - I lose focus when stress and anxiety pop up, get upset with myself, and then spiral down more.
7/12 - 141.5. Not the right direction. Couldn't work out yesterday due to a small dermatology procedure, didn't think I ate poorly but I did eat a couple of oreos. Oh well. Today is a new day. Frustrated that I'm 2.4 lbs over my low less than 2 weeks ago, but I have to look forward not back.
7/13 - 140.9. Leg/core weight circuit yesterday, hydrated well, stayed in a deficit.
7/14 - 140.0. Spent all day yesterday outside at my daughter’s softball tournament, head index 106 degrees. No workout but I sweated all day long and it was too hot to eat much so I was in a deficit. Day two of tourney today. Hydration is the main goal, for my daughter and me.
7/15 - 140.7. 4 mile run and 2 mile walk yesterday. Then sat in the heat at the second day of the tournament, followed by the end of season team party. Indulged in pizza and cake at the party.
7/16 - 141.1. I'm stuck, mentally and physically. My head isn't in this anymore. I grazed too much yesterday. I walked 4 miles and took bodycombat, don't think I drank enough water to make up for all of the dehydration from the weekend. I need to work on the mental side of this. Honestly, I'm tired of thinking about weight loss and food choices. It's taking up a lot of mental space. I need to get past that feeling and remember why I want to lose weight. I'm fighting bad genetics (huge history of heart problems in my family) and don't want to have the health issues my family does. I'll get there again at some point.
7/17 - 140.2. Tough HIIT class and 2 mile walk yesterday, much better with hydration, stayed in a deficit.
7/18 - 140.2. 6 mile run, 2 mile walk yesterday. Hydrated well, stayed in a deficit. Ate too much in the middle of the day but leveled out with a lighter dinner.
7/19 - 140.4. RPM class, 1.6 mile walk. Hydrated OK, stayed in a deficit. Very busy day with a full work day, a doctor appointment, and open house at my daughter's school. Happy to have fit in what I did.12 -
@nikki062181 Here is to meeting my goal in these 10 days. I was 17lbs from my goal weight and have since gained 17 additional pounds. That puts me 34lbs over. I went from 232 to 142lbs. I need to buckle down. I've lost 7.2 lbs out of that 17 so far. I have 3 mini goals on mind. My first mini goal is to break through that "glass ceiling" and get back into the 140's. If I could lose 1.9 lbs over the next 10 days, that would be amazing.
OSW: 232 lbs
CSW: 151.8 lbs

07/13 @ 8 151.4 I am making progress slowly but surely.
07/14 @ 8 151.4 Staying steady. There may be some difference in the scale tomorrow because I'll start getting up no later than 7 this coming week. I'm gradually adjusting back into my 5 a.m. wake up time for when I go back to work.
07/15 @ 8 151.6 This happened last round when the number starting creeping up by 2 oz each day. I hope this isn't the case this time. I also overslept. I forgot it was Sunday. I'll set my alarm for 7 for tomorrow.
07/16 @ 7 151.4 I was 80 calories shy of consuming all my calories and did not do well on my water. I am going to cut myself some slack though. I have been sick for a week.
07/17 @ 7 153.6 😮 ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE! I stayed within my calories. I exercised. I did struggle with water and had too many carbs. That could be it.
07/18 @ 8 152.6 I still don't know what's going on.
07/18 @ 7 153.8 😡
07/19 @ 7 152.6 I feel like a yo-yo. I am eating well. I went swimming. I put more steps than usual in. It was a good day.12 -
@jenn990205 I think it’s the stuff you had at the company party. Your high weight was a few days later. It will come down. Patience!❤️
@shunggie Love the picture of the deer!!
@Tracie_Lord You have exceeded your round goal! Don’t let the bounce get you!

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
7/11 123.0
7/12 121.0 WTH?? Happy new round to me?? Got daughter home from hospital, meds picked up at pharmacy and I think last night was a good night. Not sure why I’m losing. I’ve been eating.
7/13 121.0 It was a good day, I think. We didn’t do much of anything. LOL We had zucchini pizza boats for dinner-I modified the recipe because we are pretty much OMAD, and added extra protein. DGS works at the movie theater and we asked him to bring us a small buttered popcorn. I haven’t had popcorn in almost 2 years. The first bite was MEH but after that it really was delish. I hope I haven’t openers a Pandora’s box!
7/14 121.0
7/15 121.5 Pool (she can’t get in), walk, and Mazzio’s salad bar yesterday. Up 0.5, probably that popcorn rearing it’s ugly head! Oh well.
7/16 122.0 Pretty sure this is still the popcorn. @Mbabydoll and I did all of the laundry- 4 loads. Her washer is huge! She took a picture of me trying to reach the bottom of the tub. And fancy so I loaded and moved laundry and she pushed the buttons! LOL We had Green Chile and Chicken Mock Enchilada Casserole around noon and a salad later in the day.
7/17 121.5 We ran a couple of errands yesterday. Today we’ll go to Starbuck’s and the pool if her pink has faded.
7/18 123.5 No TMI x2 days. It was a hot, humid walk to and from the pool yesterday and I was wiped out. I miss my dry heat. Another high heat advisory for today. UGH.
7/19 123.0 Still no TMI but I’m gurgling.9 -

Hi, I’m Karen
187-OSW Sept. 2019
Goal this round-160
7/16-163-Back from vacation and feeling good. I swam a lot and didn’t eat too much junk. I went for a bike ride on a new road yesterday and as soon as the tree trimmers are out of here, I’ll be back to my big walks.
I hope everyone is doing well.😊
7/17-165🤣I made the best dang pork ribs and ate a pile of them. Then, right before I went to bed, I drank a lot of water.....I guess dinner was salty.
I’m back to walking and swimming, so it’s all good!
17/18 DNW
17/19-163-Walked 7 miles yesterday and will go on a big bike ride today. I sit and sew (quilt) a lot and swimming helps me not to get stiff.
I’m glad you are all here!☕️🌸12 -
Joining my first round, down to the last 15ish pounds and need any extra motivation I can find.
Female, 37yo, 5'5"
Highest ever was 182.6 in 2013.
Lost 40lbs, got pregnant-had baby 6/2014. Lost baby weight, but stayed 145-155ish.
Got pregnant-had baby 9/2016. Didn't have a lot of motivation and stayed around 160ish, travel and holidays put on some extra weight before the end of the year.

Day/Weight/Comment
07/12 - 137.2
07/13 - 137.0 - My lowest weight in my adult life, still about 10-15 from ultimate goal. It would probably help if I added some exercise in.
07/14 - 136.2 - Yesterday was a typical Saturday, stayed in my calories but they weren't the best food choices. Same for today, our shopping with mom and sis.
07/15 - 135.8 - maybe it was all of the walking Sunday that saved me
07/16 - 136.2 - TOM
07/17 - 135.8
07/18 - 136.4
07/19 - 135.8 - This seems to be the new weight I keep bouncing around to. Luckily I now know that this seems to be my pattern and if I stick with this, I will see a drop soon. It's still frustrating in the mean time though.

7/12 169.9 Got home Wednesday night weighed - 173.5. This morning 169.9 and hopefully down more tomorrow. While I was in Colorado I stayed within calories all but one day and even then was 200 over. I walked every day I was there. I had the most fantastic walks of my life. Like I'm trying to figure out how quickly I can go back just to walk trails. Turns out I love hiking, I mean it kicks my booty when I'm doing it but I have personally never done any physical exercise that gave me such a feeling of accomplishment. Please see the pic below, this is what I got to see after sweating my *kitten* off for twenty minutes climbing up. So this water weight is no biggie, I haven't been drinking as much water as I should, now that I'm home my regular routine should take care of that. I need to get caught up with you guys. HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
7/13 168.4 Not as big of a drop as I had hoped but I know I'm still retaining water. I got in a little over 3 miles and mowed the front and back yard before it got too hot. Spent the rest of the day with the BF. The first time we've seen each other in almost a month.
7/14 169.1 Dang it! Too much sodium for someone who was already retaining water. Why do chicken cranberry sausages have to have so much friggin' sodium? Walked 3 miles, trying to keep up the miles in the heat is challenging but I'm trying Spent the rest day with the most beautiful "like a grandbaby" girl ever. She was "helping" me water flowers. ch5zyycq0tl2.jpg
7/15 169.4 I guess I've still not drunk enough water. I know the calories I ingested would not cause me to gain 2 pounds. It has to be water retention. It cooled down to a high of 85 today, so I'll hit the trail after work. It's Monday for sure, I'm so tired.
7/16 168.2 That’s better. Walked 3 last night. I should be able to get three in tonight before the temperature goes into the 90’s for the next 5 days. Headed to StL today. I won’t have a scale until Friday. I’m going to try to drink water while driving instead of tea. It definitely helps with water retention.
7/17 NS Did not walk 3 miles yesterday, weather.com lied to me about the temperature. Jerks Didn't get in all the water I should have either but I got in some. I did walk around shopping for an hour and a half so that's something. Tonight I will be going to the gym.
7/18 NS Did almost an hour of weights last night. It was in the 70s this morning so I got my walk in early. I walked around Creve Coeur Lake. It's nice. I scared a lone deer (Please see pic below). It's 3.5 miles so it was a great way to start the day. I stayed under calories yesterday, though I had remembered the calorie count on something wrong. In my memory it was 250ish but when I went to log it turns out it was more like 450ish... Still under but only with exercise calories. No biggie. I can't trust my memory on these things.
7/19 168.5 I had turkey sausage cabbage stirfry last night and did not drink enough water. Low in calories but high in sodium. I should be down tomorrow. No exercise today. My arms, chest, and abs are sore from the gym on Wednesday night and I'm tired from the week. Not sure about walking tomorrow morning. I'm picking up my 20-month-old great-niece early in the morning and keeping her for the day. If it's not too miserable I'll take her for a walk, I have a great stroller. I'd have to find a shady trail that's wide enough. We'll see. Happy Friday everyone. Stay cool.10 -
end weight from round 82 -- 145.8
heaviest was June 16 --153.4...that day I came up with a new plan, and here we are..thank you for this forum! I will achieve my goal and I will maintain it once there.
goal this round; 1.5 lbs less
end goal: 125
GOAL: Be AWARE of my food choices...
WHY ---do I choose what I choose
WHEN --do I choose the food I choose
HOW ---do those choices impact your weight and fitness goals? The understanding of these questions should be enlightening to help me make better future decisions and change patterns of behavior
3rd round for me. This is a great way to keep in touch with others with similar goals. I'm 49 yo female Canadian expat living in Central America. Good luck all for to continuing the journey to all our goals. On 6/25 I decided to give up alcohol for a month, partly to help with weight loss, but who am I kidding...lol I need a etoh break anyways. So, I'm doing my exercise, mindful choices with food, and haven't had etoh in 21 days.

7/18-177.8 Goal achieved 😊
7/19-177.8 No walk after work yesterday raining and no energy, I did stay busy around the house last night, pouring today and a meeting through lunch. So no exercise at lunch today. Supposed to have company tonight so today should be a good recovery day. Will sneak in some yoga if I can pull it off.

Goal for 10 day Challenge - lose 2.8 pounds (starting weight 136.1 ending weight 133.3 of STG should be doable with exercise and staying on track with food. No travel this round should help!)
Day/Weight/Comment
7/12 135.8 Yeah! into the 135.x range for the start of the round! Good workout in spin class today in terms of estimated calories burned, although heart rate did not really get into the peak zone - end of week fatigue? consequence of doing an interval class last night and step in the morning yesterday and not enough carbs? recovering still from weight training from Wednesday? new routine (did have lots of heavy resistance)? In any case, I have the weekend to take it easier, although hope to fit in the HIIT class in the morning. Cavatappi pasta with homemade duck bolognese sauce and smoked mozzarella for dinner (have to watch portion size!), so should have no problem recharging glycogen! Unfortunately I used up all the salad greens last night so no side salad for dinner; although did have a large salad at lunch. Will get fresh greens at the farmer's market tomorrow!
7/13 136.0 Up by 0.2 pounds, but likely water weight fluctuations; pasta last night (but should be within target) and still have some leg muscle soreness from the tabata class, followed by twister with the kids on Thursday. Did go to the circuit class this morning and stayed on with a small group to do some additional core work, so a great cardio (+ social) workout all over! Rest day for the serious heavy strength training today and tomorrow to recover and start the week fresh. Got fresh shrimp with the heads on at the farmer's market, so planning on making a shrimp stock for shrimp paella on the big green egg! No greens at the farmer's market (too late ) so need to go to the store to get them for a side salad (craving greens right now!) Thinking about making a keto blueberry/blackberry crumble (supposed to be only 100 calories) as a treat tomorrow night so will try to find almond flour. NSV - MFP 5 week prediction was to be at 141 today based on food diary, but was 5 pounds under!!!
7/14 136.0 Weight same as yesterday, although this is a typical pattern by now of good drop, slight increase, stable, then drop again (plus more carbs yesterday and forgot to take BP medicine!) and overall trend is consistent over the last 6 months. Today was rest day for weights, so cardio only -- did spend an hour+ on elliptical so not sure legs are going to be really rested tomorrow (so may not see drop due to DOMS) and may switch out upper body routine for tomorrow and then do leg strength training on Tuesday for more recovery depending on how I feel in the am. Calories should be fine for day based on tracking. NSV - have been able to enjoy "new" (at least not worn in last 7 years) wardrobe of old clothes that now fit!!! Looking forward to dropping more sizes in the months to come!
7/15 136.3 Bummer - slight bump up and half pound up since beginning of round (although still have a 7 pound loss for the last 30 days so still on track). Have been hitting cardio/strength training hard and calories/exercise as best as I can tell should be in definite territory. Just need to be patient as this seems to be a typical pattern of weight increase with exercise and then a drop. Will be patient and just keep up the exercise and practice good eating habits! NSV: MFP prediction for today was 141, so definitely beat that!
7/16 134.4 WHOOSH!!!! Intense cardio yesterday, but did refuel with pasta so surprised that there was that big a drop! (and will not be surprised if I am back up tomorrow :-) Went to my old gym at the university with DH and started lifting with barbells today - new high in my exercising regime as I could actually use a 45 lb bar (with some extra weight!) Went to the spin class there, which was really intense - really felt like I put everything into it and pushed myself to a new calorie burn record for me! Now hoping I have enough energy to move tomorrow! NSV: Beat Pacer's 30 day prediction of weight (134.7) even with a weak of travel!
7/18 134.8 Not surprised at all at the increase; standard nonlinear change by now! Switching up exercise regime to do 5x5 lifts with barbells (plus a few other specific muscles) rather than my split upper/lower body workouts with machines as more efficient use of time and can do all on one day, so today was a cardio only day. Did the "cardio move" class and spin class (not at the uni so a good workout but not at the peak HR zone like the university class so don't feel like I was overdoing it. Calories were good for the day. Feel like I need to incorporate more fiber - nuts seems to be good but if anything fat levels are the one area where I tend to exceed in macros. I need to get over mindset from Atkins/low carb days that beans/legumes have more carbs/calories and do more to incorporate them in my meals. Have worked passed views about low GI fruit, so there is hope! Just have to remember with Atkins beans/legumes/low GI fruits are all encouraged at the later stages and that what matters for me is keeping an eye on the total calories and carbs within my limit.
7/19 135.0 well slight increase, but not completely surprising based on past after a 1.9 drop earlier as adjusting (but not likely to make 2 lb loss this round :-( Did feel constipated this morning so some may be due to food retention. Did make sure that I had more fiber today (although not sure if that increases water retention) Oh well - main thing is that medium sized pants are starting to feel baggy (although that might be the effect of the heat on making linen more baggy!) and my profile does not look like I am possibly pregnant as belly fat is slowly going away now! No weights today, but did get in a step class, spin and did a short 9 min interval of run/jog (felt great to run again!)
7/20 133.4 Whoosh take two for this round! And almost at short term goal of 133.3 which will put me at 10 pounds to healthy weight category!!! Will be doing weight training (5x5 lifts) and then intervals on elliptical later for cardio so hope that I can maintain this through the last day of the challenge! The challenge is that we may be going for pizza tonight at my favorite place - but at least pizza is really thin crust and does not have lots of cheese/heavy toppings so I have been able to combine a large salad with 2 pieces of pizza and stay on target! [and part of long term maintenance plan to enjoy salty, fatty, carbs on occasion!] mini-goal for today: stay hydrated as heat index is over 110 today.

My highest weight was 197# at 5’4”. I’m 48 years old.
I was 189# when I first started keto, and had gotten down to 150# before I let life interrupt me.
7/12 - 165.5 - Today I am 165.5#, including all the swelling. 😒
7/13 - 163.5 - the swelling must be going finally, or something. I figure if I eat basically what my mom (@quiltingjaine) eats, I will surely be around my macros/calories. It’s hard being down & dependent when I’m used to doing everything for myself & others.
7/14 - 163 - it’s POD#5 and time to try to be more active. We’re going to drive to the pool today and I’m going to relax in the sun and hopefully make a couple laps around the pond. I’m feeling quite weak from this lazying around.
7/15 - 164 - POD#6 got a little sunburn yesterday. The popcorn from 2 nights ago has caught up. Cleaning it up today and resting a little more, but laundry can’t wait anymore. Lol! Just have to keep trying and stay focused.
7/16 - 163 - POD#7 and a little step back recovery wise, but better numbers. Laundry may have been too much. Having a craving for something I can’t identify, or everything junky. Just trying to stay strong.
7/17 - 164.5
7/18 - 164
7/19 - 162.5 - POD#10 - I started tracking again yesterday and I finally made progress. I’m still having lots of munchies and feeling hungry frequently. Baby steps. The 150’s are getting closer.12 -

Vacation and tons of activities, I've been slacking off a bit lately and gained 2 lbs over the last month. I need a serious reset over the next 10 days. Rather bloated this morning so I feel that 4 lbs is doable.
Goals: 1. Work out at lunch 4x a week
2. 2 Reps of 5 Push ups daily & 2 Reps of 1 min planks daily
Day/Weight/Comment
07/12: 147.0 - Yoga Burn at lunch + Push Up + Plank. Big family dinner at nice place, tried to keep my eating light. Had 1000 calories saved up for dinner.
07/13 - didn't weigh in - busy day. Lot of walking and baseball game. Ate a pretty large mexican food meal - but only ate 1x all day.
07/14: 145.6 - Another busy day with kid's baseball. Gardened quite a bit and worked around the house.
07/15: 144.6 - YAY!!!!! I feel like the bloat is leaving! Solid workout at lunch Yoga Burn week 2 followed up with planks, pushups, sit ups and stretches. Kept calories under 1350 - trying not to eat back exercise cals this round.
07/16: 144.2 - Great workout at lunch - Yoga Burn Week 2 - plus planks, sit ups, pushups, side planks - stayed under cal goal. Didn't eat exercise calories earned back.
07/17: 146 - dammit, dammit, DAMMIT. Tough day but forced myself to Yoga Burn Week 2 at lunch + planks, pushups, sit ups - got in 30 min workout. Pretty bodysore from the 16th but got thru it. Stomach was weird all day - first time in months that things just don't agree with it. Felt bloated most of the day.
07/18: 145.8 - tiny step in the right direction - rode my colt before work. No workout, company lunch with pizza and family dinner. Tough day diet/fitness wise.
07/19: 145.8 - rather a relief this wasn't higher after yesterday.

07/12 160.4 - 14,300 No diet change. It is water retention because I am uncomfortably puffy again. Started birth control last week for medical reasons and even though doctor said it wouldn’t affect weight, I have to believe that is where this is coming from. I’m having a few other issues as well. Maybe it is just a transition time - I hope. This stinks! 😔

07/15 159.0 - 14,100 It seems like I’m just losing at a “normal” rate instead of the fluid going away because I should be down a few pounds. I guess I am just happy to be moving in the right direction and proud to be staying on plan. It has been much harder this week. I’m having insane hunger/cravings.
07/16 157.6 - 11,900 A new low! I’ve changed my goal three times now but I really think I’m getting close. Maybe 145-150ish??
07/17 156.8 - 14,500 Water is all going. It is fun to see the drops... but we all know I will wake up with 3 pounds of water again any day now. Lol! 🤪

07/13 311.2 I’m still feeling the other day and I’m having a flare up of my MS. I have a plan in place and I’m not going to use it as an excuse to sit around and eat. I’m going to try to do little bits of activity as I can throughout the day.
07/14 311.6 I managed strength training yesterday and I was a bit high in sodium and carbs, plus a little later of a night and then earlier morning.
07/15 310.4 I got in decent steps yesterday by doing several short walks as I felt like I could. I’m having to use my cane, but I’m not beating myself up about it. I have a plan in place for the next week because we’ll be at about 100 before any heat index, which usually brings it up around 105-110. I hope to get a few walks today because the weather is going to be nice.
07/16 310.4 I got in a number of walks yesterday thanks to the slightly cooler weather and ended up a little over 10k in steps. I’m still having to use my cane and I’m not the fastest walker right now but that’s okay, I’m just happy to be out walking. The rest of this week I’m mostly staying inside because of the excessive heat , but I can use a lower activity day or two.
07/17 309.8 I’m hopeful that this sticks and that I continue to move downward.
07/18 308.6 I’m now below the goal that I set for the month. I don’t know why I’m surprised though, I’ve been on track with everything. My new goal is to get to 299, I anticipate that I’ll see that in about 2-3 rounds if all goes well. I had a really nice rest day yesterday and I tried out a new recipe. I had no idea that vegan, paleo brownies could taste so good.
07/19 307.8 I’m a little surprised by this drop. I did strength training yesterday so I expected to be a little up or maintain.

Day/Weight/Comment
07/12 – 141.5 – Great start for the weekend. Our city is having an Italian Festival right outside my office door. I ate half a Stromboli for lunch yesterday and had a small salad at home for supper to compensate for the extra calories. Our grandson is spending the night tonight and he will want Chinese food, so no Italian for me today. I’m just realizing that after over a year of watching calories, these food decisions are starting to become second nature to me.
07/13 - 142 – Not unexpected due to the sodium in the Chinese food.
07/14 – 143 – Drinks and snacks with some unexpected visitors last night, then I didn’t eat great today either. It’s the weekend! I don’t want to weigh tomorrow, but I will.
07/15 – 143.5 – Not as bad as I expected, although it could still show up tomorrow. Back to weight loss calories for the week. We have plans to head to wine country by Lake Erie this weekend and I’d like to be back down before we go.
07/16 – 143 – Slowly but surely.
07/17 – 142.5 – OK!
07/18 – 142.5 – Last day of work for me this week. I’m sure my calories will be up this weekend, so I’m going to keep them low today.
07/19 – 142 – Getting ready to head North for the weekend. I’m hoping the heat wave isn’t too bad directly next to the lake. I’ll be mindful of my food, but we don’t get a chance to do this with family too often, so I’m not going to worry about the extra calories (especially in the wine). Six months from now I won't remember if it takes me a week or two to drop my weight back down, but I will remember the good time we had. I learned this last year.

Day/Weight/Comment
7/12 143, not too bad for being lower than usual on water and not working out as much as I normally do (in the middle of my TOM). Hoping to get my energy to today for 70 minutes on the elliptical.
7/13 142.8, going to the museum with a friend and then a yoga class later in the afternoon. Food is all prepped, so just hope to drink enough water throughout the day and keep to the plan .
7/14 141.2, today’s my last day of my cycle so a lot of the weight drop can be attributed to that, but still great to be almost in the 130s and at my round goal. One small victory is that I noticed that I’m under my license weight of 145. I put that number when I was in the 160s because I was too ashamed to put my real weight.
7/15 141.6, this is the second month that I recorded my TOM weight. I normally just track, but don’t actually look at the trends on what happens. Last month, I stalled for two weeks after so hopefully that won’t happen again. But if it does, I can prepare more next month. I won’t be making any radical changes to my diet or exercise this week to really see what my body does.
7/16 140.6, really don’t understand the weight loss today, but I’ll take it! Going to a baseball game with a friend and going to have a hot dog and a beer (will make sure in calories, but life is too short to not enjoy some days!)
7/17 140.8, took a barre class yesterday and really enjoyed it. I need to be more consistent since once a week isn’t cutting it. Planning to go Friday and Saturday as well. I think the closer I get to my goal, the faster I want it to go! Getting a bit impatient, but can’t forget the one day at a time plan.
7/18 140.0, don’t quite understand the sudden loss this week, but not mad at all! I am prepared for some of this weight to come back to since seems very rapid
7/19 141.5, woke up with a migraine yesterday and only ate one large meal (went to local taqueria and had a retried bean and cheese burrito with rice and sour cream, chips and guacamole) . I know that wasn’t much more than my 1200 calories allotted, or at least not enough over maintenance to elicit that much of a gain so I think a lot of it is sodium. Will drink a lot of water today and go to the gym for an hour now that I feel better. Still under my round goal but hope to be closer to 140.x by Sunday.

I just had a moment I think you guys can understand better than anyone else. I was checking my BMI on my office computer. (I do all my Community activity on MFP at work - I justify it by saying a healthier worker does a better job, not sure if my boss would agree A co-worker came in, saw the screen and said why would you want to depress yourself??? I laughed and said I just found out I'm only 10 pounds away from being merely overweight and no longer obese. I'm thrilled She's trying to lose a few pounds she gained after a cruise. She's very nice and well-meaning but we are on much different journeys. I'm no longer depressed by a high BMI - I know it as something I can change.
This started an entire discussion about dieting. One of the ladies said I couldn't do it, I like pizza too much. I said I eat pizza about once a week. Usually cheese or veggie on thin crust - just small adjustments to the "normal" things people eat.12 -

12: 241.4 Whew. Not liking that number so much. 😕 Did pretty well with food today. I was surprised that Fitbit gave me about 900 exercise calories. I only used 5 of them, but that was only by chance as I synced and logged my food at the end of the day. Goal for tomorrow - log as I eat.
13: 241.6 Feedback: Lack of sleep actually hinders weight loss. On the plus side, I started my day off with an organic vegan sprouted protein shake with Brain Octane oil and Mighty Maca...and I logged it before the first sip! Great way to start my day!
14: 241.5 Not gonna lie, I'm irritated by this, but I also know that's not gonna help change it. I'm doing the right things, so I know the scale will catch up at some point. Hopefully soon!
15: 241.2
16: 239.9 Commencing downward trend! Doing really good with food and hydration. Looking forward to this movement continuing.
17: 240.4 No particular reasoning behind this. Still doing great with food and staying hydrated. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
18: 240.7 Seriously? wth! Feedback: Sometimes there's no apparent cause for a gain, or a loss for that matter. Gonna see how the next few days go and reevaluate my calorie/macro goals before the next road.
19: 241.4 Grrr. That's all I've got.

@shunggie Yay for you!!!! I'm on your side. I don't want to bury my head in the sand any more years. I've done that long enough! The information we seek on our weight, our BMI, our fat % etc. is information we need to create (and reach) our goals. I'm with you! Remember, what you are doing is working! Her journey may look different but may be exactly right for her.8
