Thanks! It does feel really good and gives me motivation to stick it out tonight, if I'm still having hormonal cravings. Having a couple of weeks of IF definitely helps!4 -

23:123.4- Wow all over the place...wondering if alcohol consumption from the weekend makes you retain water? Enjoyed my weekend both kids home, but what a scorcher! Very limited outside activities, my husband and I usually enjoy riding our bikes impossible to do with over 100 heat index. Daughter had her wisdom teeth removed yesterday so took my first rest day in a long long time...Honestly did not understand or believe the need for them( I am wrong about so much and have learned so much from the posts on this site). Wow then dropped probably water weight but also maybe a little more weight too.
24:123.6- Relieved, hard to believe I stayed almost the same...having daughter home all day recovering from having her 4 wisdom teeth removed really upped temptation. I was making jello pudding, mashed potatoes anything she wanted to get her to eat. But of course I needed to taste first, Eeks! I did sneak off and go to My Body Combat class which I love while she slept.
07/25- 124.2- The science of the scale is confounding..I actually ate 100 calories less yesterday in anticipation of going to dinner with my girlfriends tonight, inline with the idea brought forward of saving calories...Threw that idea overboard. I did go to Body Pump yesterday and since adjusting my protein to pretty much twice what I was eating before have been pushing myself to pick up heavier weight and complete more reps. I definitely am seeing improvement and am secretly praying this is just water retention from muscle exertion( which I say sarcastically because I still feel like such a wimp in class)
07/26- 124.8 I should be relieved its not much higher, I enjoyed truffled fries, bison hamburger, 2 glasses of wine though I did not eat the bun, a slice of my girlfriends pizza. A wonderful evening, but alas, going the wrong direction on the scale and heading into the weekend. This spells T R O U B L E for me right here in river city.
07/27- 125 I need to go out to dinner with my girlfriends on Mondays in the future!!! This is so frustrating I was doing so well before and feel like I have lost control. Going to a Barbecue tonight, I guess my only hope is to not hit 126. Hanging over my head is I am leaving Tuesday to spend a week with my mother, no idea how I am going to manage there...I may pack my food scale.

07/22 133.2 Yay! Back to my lowest low since starting this journey. Thought I'd be up because I got a bit snackish yesterday with nibbles of brownie and a whole donut (though I stuck to my newish method of *savoring* the donut by cutting it into little bites). Fatigue is really doing me in lately, though, so I went to bed early and probably saved myself extra calories I'd have been tempted to eat.
07/23 134.4 Yesterday was ALL salt: steak and corn and homemade macaroni and cheese and baked potatoes, so being up a pound is expected. I liked Monday's 133, honestly, I think it was a fluke because my body has been more or less maintaining 134 for a month now. "Everyone" says it goes slower at the end- yep.
07/24 DNW oops! I live in the U.S. and set the alarm early so I could watch news coverage of Congressional testimony and I totally forgot to go back upstairs to weigh. What can I say, I'm a political nerd!
07/25 133.8 Down a bit. I've had some challenges preventing me from starting the gentle seated strength-building exercises I found on YouTube, so I'm okay if I just cruise along without any real loss this week (if I write that sentiment down, it'll be true, right?) [trying to convince myself]

07/22 307.2 The heat won yesterday and I barely got in 3500 steps. Most of those were after sunset. It’s much cooler today and will be for a few days so I’m looking forward to getting outside this week.
07/23 307.0 I got in a lot more walks yesterday and it was nice to get outside again. I can’t believe how much I used to fear/hate the thought of walks around the neighborhood.
07/24 306.2 That’s a nice drop. My nsv today is more loose pants! I pulled my jeans out this morning because it was a little cooler. They stayed on, but I was swimming in them. I remember putting extra stitches in the butt awhile back to make sure they didn’t split. Today though I said I think I could fit my daughter and me in these pants they’re so baggy.

07/26 308.2 My lack of proper sleep, pain, and just general blah won out last night. It happens to me every so often and oddly helps to re-motivate me. I’ll have this gain gone in no time as it’s all water.
07/27 307.6 Starting to go back down. I was on track with my calories, but I don’t think I drank enough water. I should see losses over the next several days and be to a new low soon. I finally got some new clothes that aren’t even a little bit loose or baggy. My husband is certain that if I give it a couple of months I’ll need new ones again. I don’t remember the last time I was in these sizes, but it’s been awhile.

Hi all, this is my second round and excited to see where this next round takes me. I first started my MFP journey in 2015. I dropped down to 138 pounds and went into maintenance. I was fine for awhile until my world went crazy and exercise was no longer a priority. After putting on over 20 pounds, I got back to working out and calorie counting diligently. I have IBS and no gallbladder, so I stick to a low fat diet. I am also hypothyroid which makes losing weight at times challenging. I keep on trucking because the pot of gold at the end of 🌈 is health and an increased life expectancy.

07/22 127lbs. Had a good workout 🏋️♀️. Yesterdays forced rest did my body good and I was able to easily knock out two hours of strength and aerobics. Ending my day with a yoga 🧘♀️ session for recovery. Feeling good, even with the scale not moving in a few days.
07/23 128.3lbs. Weight is up, trying not to panic and cut my daily calories. IBS flare up cut my workout short today and sent me home to bed with my heating pad. Crossing my fingers I will be all good tomorrow.
07/24 129lbs (sigh). Went on a ten mile walk with my son. Afterwards, every inch of my body hurt, while my son was still bouncing around full of energy. Lol, I thought he would collapse when we got home, but nope it was mid-30s old me. I did a good stretch drank down my protein shake and took a nap 😴. Hoping to see the scale go down tomorrow 🤞.
07/25 129.9lbs🤦🏽♀️. Up again, but inches are still coming off; just not reflected on the scale. I just increased my protein using shakes, so maybe that’s causing the scale to go up. Had a good walk with my son. It’s a good way to get him away from the tv during the summer. Today, he even asked when are we going on our walk (proud mama). Got in some strength training and recovering with yoga.
07/26 127.9lbs. Finally, the scale is down. It was 🥵 hot today and I didn’t eat much and skipped my walk. I did step aerobics, which kills my glute muscles and some weight training 💪. Tomorrow will brave the heat and walk my 100 blocks.
07/27 127lbs. Busy day; lots of walking logged doing errands. Got some strength training in using my kettlebell and my body is sore. NSV: just realized all my clothes are baggy on me! Shopping trip is in my future. I learned sometimes you have to ignore the scale and go by the measuring tape and pics.

I ate too much at my art show reception yesterday and had salty stuff later, so this gain is water. I’m back on track today and foregoing flour and added sugar for the foreseeable future. I mulched my new garden for a good 90 minutes this morn8ng, and am going for a walk after dinner. Did I mention that the temperature has cooled WAY down? Yay!

Gaaa! That’s the delayed effect of Sunday. ‘Sokay. I was within my calorie goal and macros were good yesterday and I got plenty of exercise. Onward.

I went out for dinner with 3 friends and 2 very annoying women, one of whom never stopped talking (“me me my me” for the whole 3 hours. I ate responsibly there but came home and had a glass of Bailey’s, a bowl of ice cream, and a bag of popcorn. Sigh. I thought I was past that. Oh, well. I followed up with a note to the 3 friends to let them know I’ll meet them for lunch/dinner but won’t be back to the group. Really annoying when one person ruins things for everyone else. I did once ask her to let me finish what I was saying, to minimal effect (and two people thanked me later). Anyway, another beautiful day her. DH and I are off to see an art show, and then I plan to go for a long walk this afternoon and probably work in the garden.

07/22 - 140.8, stayed the same as yesterday, which is great on a weekend! I have a group tennis lesson today, and I will try to do 60 minutes on elliptical. I have a work dinner tonight at a Thai restaurant so I might be up temporarily tomorrow due to sodium intake, but I preselected dinner already. Good feeling that this is the round I break into the 130s and stay there.
07/23 - 140.2, did not sleep well (fell asleep at 12am and it’s currently 4am). I have my alarm set for 6am so hope to go back to sleep. Taking my 8 year old dog to the vet for teeth cleaning and I am always so nervous! I won’t have time today for anything besides work and the dog so no workout. I am really thirsty so had too much salt yesterday, but drank a lot. Will continue to drink today (aiming for water, depending on how pup is!)
07/24 - 140.4, my dog made it out ok, but with six fewer teeth. He’s still a bit slower than usual, but understandable! I have dinner with a friend from college today at a prime rib restaurant (can’t believe we’ve known each other over 10 years!). Expecting to be a few lbs heavier tomorrow, but still hopeful end of the round will be a new decade.
07/25 - 140.6, meals entirely made at home for the next two days so should be down by Saturday.
07/26 - 140.4, had a good day yesterday and so far today has been good. I worked out for 60 minutes at the gym today and yesterday. Going to a see a movie later tonight and prep for a couple of presentations over the weekend. Although I wish I saw more of a change quickly, my overall trend line is going down and just have to trust the process. Some weeks I do the same thing and I lose over 1% of my body weight and other weeks will be less than .5 lbs
07/27 - 140.6, I have been having trouble sleeping so hopefully after my big presentation tomorrow, I can finally sleep. Today I had a couple of slices of pizza at lunch and sushi for dinner so will be up tomorrow, but had two offsites so limited choice.

I am officially 5 rounds away from turning the big 4-0! That means I have 50 days to lose another 5 pounds and be below 140. When I started way back in July of 2018 I thought I would have already reached my goal, but alas I am still working on it, lol. My only goal this round is to see a new low and that my 10 day average continues to drop, however slow that may be and believe me the last couple of rounds it has been extremely slow.

07/22 - 147.3 up from yesterday, but had a good day. Did eat at the mall and then do some snacking while meal prepping for the week. So I am sure I will be back down soon. Finished my daughters room and all the school shopping for both girls. Dinner planned tonight and breakfast/lunches planned for the week. On track for today and should be an early night to bed. The youngest starts her last year of elementary tomorrow since she is in year around. Can't believe I will finally be done with that school. From my oldest to the youngest I have been going there continuously for the last 16 years!
07/23 - 146.7 I overate last night and did some snacking after I got home from work. I was starving all day yesterday and couldn't curve it for some reason. It was just one of those days I guess. For the next 9 days I am going to try and do absolutely no snacking before dinner, while cooking, or clean up after dinner. I am just eating to eat at that point and there is no point to it. So day 1 let's see how I do.
07/24 - 144.4 yes! Finally now all I have to do is keep it down and drop a couple more ounces before the end of the month. I can see that 143.xxx right around the corner. On track for today and dinner set for tonight!
07/25 - 143.1 New low and a huge drop! I almost cried when I saw this, I was so happy. We will see if it sticks tomorrow, but right now I am super thrilled with it! I almost have a 3 pound loss for the month, and I haven't had one of those since October. This made a new happy scale milestone (2 more to go), completes 35 pounds lost, I am officially in the "normal BMI" category by a couple of ounces, and I am at the top of my maintenance weight. I would like for my maintenance weight to be 138-143 eventually. I will see if I like it there and figure out what I want to do at that point. I am sure it will take me a while to get lower. This has been a pretty big month of weight loss, so I am totally expecting a jump up or to stay here for a while and I am completely ok with that. 6 days left to hold on and see what I can do. I have a tendency to let myself relax when I get comfortable and I am determined not to do that this time. I really want to see myself at 138.
07/26 - 143.1 I am shocked that this stayed the same. Maybe it is a real number. I snacked a little before dinner and then while cleaning up, so I was kind of worried this morning. Low cal day today and should be able to stay on track without any issues tonight. Would love to go into the weekend this low and be able to maintain the next 5 days. If I can finish the month at 143 or maybe even 142 something I will be thrilled.
07/27 - 141.7 I can’t believe I dropped even more. This month has been amazing! I am at almost 5 pounds lost and I never have months like that. I lose maybe a pound a month the last 4 or 5 months. I am so happy that it’s finally catching up and the scale is showing my hard work. It may go up over the weekend, but in super thrilled going in so low!

07/24 - 59.9kg - Yas! Down to the 50s again (not comfortably but hey it's progress). I've managed to semi slot back into my regular eating patterns but still struggling with eating for my calorie counts vs. eating when I'm hungry/overeating. But I'll get there!

07/26 - 59.8kg - Yes the scale showed my mistake but it wasn't as much as I expected which is good? Still not happy though. I made the mistake today of getting some sweets at the supermarket so I completely went over my calorie limit today. Feeling really crap but I'm determined to make some changes. Part of me doing this challenge is to just be more aware of what I'm doing and having a place to answer for when I mess up like this. So I'm not doing as great as I could be, but eventually I can get over this. Please @ me if you have any tips for switching into a healthy eating mindset!!!
07/27 - ~60.8Kg- Weighed in a different spot today so may not be entirely accurate but ugh I knew I would gain a lot. I feel so gross and I really need to remember that I never feel great after overeating. Anyone have any tips for being more present and overcoming their tendencies to overeat?
07/28 - 61.2Kg - I've really been struggling ngl. I've been so stressed and tired with my studies and I've definitely been using it as an excuse to overeat. I'm going to try and be gentle with myself though. Tomorrow is a new day, and even though I'm not losing as much as I want, I know that fluctuations are normal. I'm getting a better idea of how to be healthy and to change my habits and I guess that's what really counts

07/22 65.0 kg. I've lost 23kg {50.7 lbs} in 199 days! IF isn't making me delighted but I am getting loose skin so I'm trying to get rid of that. Also doing pilates and bodyweight training on alternate days. And I nearly forgot to say... I'm loving being on holiday somewhere beautiful!
07/23 65.0kg twice in a row makes it real and its day 200 so I'm very happy. IF going a bit better as it helped having a carpenter in the house blocking access to the fridge! Pilates was tough yesterday and pushup and squats happening later today.
07/24 65.1kg which isn't a problem. Pilates later today and I'll walk down to the beach for a swim. Barely moved out of the house with the plumbers and carpenters here.
07/25 65.0kg with a very short swim and some pilates yesterday. IF is getting easier. Today's plan is a repeat of yesterday's with the addition of a fish lunch as we saw the catch come in yesterday. I'd love to post pics but it only allows me to do it on the pc at work which is far away!

07/22 133.8 – just short of 9 ¾ miles walked yesterday, walks sandwiched a christening midday followed by celebratory meal at an Indian restaurant (very tasty!, but high sodium/fat). I did drink absolutely loads throughout the day to try to compensate.

07/22 - 163.6 (0.0) Start of a new week, I'm pleased I've got my bike repaired so I'll be getting my cardio workouts done! This week is suppose to be the hottest week in history of Belgium (40C) with no air-conditioning, so exercising is going to be an issue
07/23 - 162.4 (-1.2) Cool! The weekend weight has dropped off, probably due to a lot of cycling yesterday! Cycled again this morning, which was quite difficult has it's already really hot (30C) and arrived at work looking like a beetroot! I've got some nice meals planned for the day and a massage appointment this evening with my physiotherapist as I had back problems recently.
07/24 - 162.4 (0.0) Stable so no complaint. I'll be taking it easy today and tomorrow as we're having a heatwave, 36 today and 39 planned tomorrow. I'm using my electric bike as it's too hot for the normal one (no showers at the office) With this heat I'm not sleeping too well so I have to resist carb cravings! Oh and I actually binned some chocolate which I was offered by someone who knew I was on a diet... it had half melted with this heat so the I couldn't even offer it to someone! I thought that if I started I wasn't going to stop so I put it in the bin

I was too hot and tired and couldn't be bothered to eat a proper meal so I grazed all evening from the fridge. I did count it all though to stay accountable. The weather is supposed to get better this evening. I haven't done any sports either for 3 days, it's too hot and there are queues to swimming pools as they've reached their quotas. Today is another day !
07/27 161.6 (-0.8) Down we go again! The weekend has started so I need to plan and watch out ! I'm really pleased to see the numbers going down, shows that consistency is the way to go. This is the first time I've tried a normal calorie restrictive diet (not IF, WW, paleo, or kato etc...) and I'm loosing without fuss.
07/28 - 161.6 (0.0) Status quo, seeing that I went out for dinner last night it's good. I've already lost my round goal weight and I'm working at keeping this till the next round Otherwise I'm super tired after a busy weekend and hurting all over due to arthritis, I think the heat brought it on. I'm hoping it'll be better for the week ahead so I can do some sports. But I really need to stay on track, the weight loss will really help with the arthritis !

I ate too much at my art show reception yesterday and had salty stuff later, so this gain is water. I’m back on track today and foregoing flour and added sugar for the foreseeable future. I mulched my new garden for a good 90 minutes this morn8ng, and am going for a walk after dinner. Did I mention that the temperature has cooled WAY down? Yay!

Gaaa! That’s the delayed effect of Sunday. ‘Sokay. I was within my calorie goal and macros were good yesterday and I got plenty of exercise. Onward.

I went out for dinner with 3 friends and 2 very annoying women, one of whom never stopped talking (“me me my me” for the whole 3 hours. I ate responsibly there but came home and had a glass of Bailey’s, a bowl of ice cream, and a bag of popcorn. Sigh. I thought I was past that. Oh, well. I followed up with a note to the 3 friends to let them know I’ll meet them for lunch/dinner but won’t be back to the group. Really annoying when one person ruins things for everyone else. I did once ask her to let me finish what I was saying, to minimal effect (and two people thanked me later). Anyway, another beautiful day her. DH and I are off to see an art show, and then I plan to go for a long walk this afternoon and probably work in the garden.

DH’s birthday, so I’m taking him out for late lunch. I plan to have broiled fish and behave myself, although I’m also baking him a cake. I think I’ll invite people over for dessert! I also plan to start laying brick tri. Around my garden, so that should burn some calories.

My bad. Cake and ice cream last night (extending DH’s birthday!) and a salty lunch and, other than cake baking, not a lot of exercise. Fun, though!

I am ready to drop a couple of pounds this round. I haven't made the progress this summer that I had hoped for but its a marathon not sprint and slow and steady will win the race. But man this is a little to slow. Time to get to it. Good luck all.

Round 84 (1st Round) Target: Fasting Blood Sugar under 100mg/dL
Hi.
I was pre-diabetic a few years ago, and got it under control. Ahead of my annual physical on Aug 2, I took my morning blood sugar for the first time in months and it was 140! I'm freaking out! So the goal is to get my fasting blood sugar (FBS) down to below 100. And take about 40 lbs off over the course of the next year. Each day I'll post my weight and my morning blood sugar.
