"No, maybe you shouldn't date that dude who invited himself into your apartment, trapped you in your closet while you went to get Trivial Pursuit and forced a kiss on you."
"Also, maybe don't rely on alcohol to solve your depression. It doesn't really make it better."
"Don't trust that group of people you think are your friends. They're nothing but a group of gossip sharks and they will make your life miserable for four years."
"Everything else? Have fun, don't be so serious and be safe."4 -
Forget how hot he is & run away as fast as you can! There’s a reason he’s attracted to someone 10 years younger than himself; you are too immature to see all the warning signs right now, but trust me- this one’s going to hurt & will almost destroy you.3

"Maybe think about a degree you'll actually use" or "realize that there are pathways that don't rely on a soul-sucking class load and vapid people and/or crippling student debt".2

In 10-15 years time you’re going to sit back and have the last laugh at the bullies. Look where they’re at now.1

Punch in the face anybody who thinks taking up smoking is a good idea. Wasted much of my adult life and paychecks on that disgusting habit. Thankfully, approaching ten years as an ex-smoker!5

Congratulations! A hard addiction tbh1 -
Agreed with @geraldaltman . Don't smoke with the girls at school! And teach her about not overeating! And exercise is important. I wish I knew what I know now, 10 years ago1

- Learn to cook simple dishes for yourself with your limited budget. You'll regret having to learn all this crap later on.
- Don't let anyone give you *kitten*. If they do, dump them. They are not worth your time and you do NOT deserve to be told you make someone "feel so dirty they will never be clean". EVER.
- Tell the people you have feelings for that you have feelings for them instead of waiting around. You'll find out in a decade or more why.
- Appreciate the good friends you have, you never know when they'll be gone for good.
- Don't spend so much energy hiding and hating your body because it's not "thin and pretty" like the other college co-eds. Plenty of people are attracted to you, find you engaging and want to develop meaningful relationships with you, friend and otherwise. Go with it.
- Volunteer more at the SPCA. Getting to sit in a room and do nothing but pet kitties all day and brush them is awesome. And cathartic. A great use of time.
