Don’t do things you don’t want to do just to make other people happy

A lesson I only learnt in recent years unfortunately

I would tell my younger self, don't waste your life just existing and hiding away from the world.
I would also tell myself to not tell my parents I was too tired or didn't feel like going out with them (when I felt fine)
Both my parents passed away last year and I would give anything to have all those selfish moments back.

This. Don't buy into that tripe that "all relationships take work" and "all relationships go through rough patches" to such an extent. If they're more work than they are happiness, most of the time, and the rough patch has lasted more than a year... bail.

I'm sorry to hear about your parents

Believe in yourself, you can do it. Don't take everything so seriously. On the other side of discomfort is growth...

Speak up. Just tell someone and don't move until they do something about it.

Go after what makes you happy

Dont wait until your 40 to start eating right

Having just returned from my 40th high school reunion:

The bullies and mean girls? They're the ones with the issues, not you. Their taunts and disparaging remarks are a desperate attempt to feel better about who they are by acting like they're better than you. They're not.

    That is the Truth
