My wife sent me pictures of fresh cooked chicken and steak at our local grocery store. One ingredient is soya protein. Does anyone know what it is and why would it be in chicken and steak.

🧐 well remembered! How odd...Someone with a very similar user name to yours posted the same question a couple weeks ago: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10758006/soy-protein

My answer would remain the same as it was in that thread. Although, I note you’ve stated those are meant to be pictures of ‘fresh cooked chicken and steak’. I would argue that if it came from those highly processed boxes it’s not what my definition of fresh would be! Recently cooked, perhaps, but not fresh!0
