08/21 - 224.2 - I thought it would be more. My eating was not the greatest yesterday as I traveled for work and had a high sodium lunch.
08/22 - 223.8 - Went for a nice long walk yesterday with my youngest. Hit my step goal!
08/23 - 223 - I'm always surprised when the number goes down. I did not meet my step goal yesterday
08/24 - 225.6 - Due to all of the pizza and cheesy bread I ate Friday night. It's funny because my goal for each weekend is to not undo the work I've done during the week. We'll see were things go from her. I'm getting a little frustrated with myself for not meeting my step goals.
08/25 - 223.6 - Flushed a lot of the sodium from Friday out of my system. Yesterday was a more active day as I was at the church picnic and did a lot more moving around. I've been off of my exercise game since I came back from Orlando. I was sick and the fatigue I was battling was my excuse. I've now been back for 2 weeks and should have no excuses. - I hit my step goal yesterday!
08/26 - 222.4 - Yay! Total surprise, but not really. I've been fairly good with meeting my food goals. - Did not meet my step goals yesterday despite all the housework I did.
08/27 - 222.2 - Hit my step target yesterday! My oldest and I went for a 3.5k walk last night. My math was way off yesterday. I won't hit my goal of 8 out of 10 days, but I'm going to push to hit 7 as that is what's possible.

So I’m back again. I did have some HWC very late last night instead of just water. I think that could have save me. Will be fasting to late afternoon today. At home for a change (haven’t been home over a weekend for 3 weeks now), so it might actually be doable today. Gonna stick to some well needed fasting, and keto today. All my carb foods are finally gone after the camping.

I was exhausted yesterday. I didn’t drink enough, cooked for the next 2 weeks I believe (meant to only do one week). Was on my feet running to farmer’s market, Safeway, cooking, and cleaning out some stuff from the apartment all day from 10am to I believe 6pm. Didn’t sit once. Ended up in splurging on chocolate in the evening. It’s like I’ve lost anything called discipline. And the weight reflects it. I have a plan for the week. Now I just have to follow through. It hasn’t been my biggest accomplishment this past month. Let’s see what happens.

Well, on of yesterday’s 2.4lbs gone. I wasn’t able to skip dinner, so had some cheese with cold cuts. I managed an 18h fast, and I stopped at 7 instead of 8. It was a struggle at 8 though. Brain hunger set in. I had only had 800cals, but it was all protein, some fat, and 35g of carbs (half of it from vitamin gummies). I really wasn’t hungry as a glass of water removed all my hunger pains. Today I’m aiming at another 18h fast, I have nothing planned for dinner tonight as I’ll be going out with mom and dad for lunch. I need to get back to my ADF as that is the only time I’ve constantly lost weight.

08/21 138.4, difficult boxing class yesterday but made it through. Love that there are classes I can finish now that I would have been struggling with before. Happy hour after work today so will try to bank some calories for that.
08/22 138.4, ended up eating dinner really late (9:45pm) so happy to see this number. Back to normal today with all meals prepped at home. Hoping to combat any lingering weight gain from yesterday.
08/23 138, back to my lowest weight this weight loss journey and matches a five year low. 65.7% of the way to my goal so hoping to see 2/3rds by the end of the month. Going to food truck meetup tonight so weight might be up a bit tomorrow for sodium, but will keep my calories in check.
08/24 138, ate well yesterday, but went way over today. I had a milkshake and had no idea how many calories are in them! Feel terrible both physically (body is not very used to that food anymore) and about stalling this week’s progress for a while. Tomorrow is another day and keep learning that some foods are deceptively high calories.

I was tired when I got home last night and made a drink and ate a baked potato and salad, but of course I made my husband a a healthy chefs salad. 8/27-170-Things are getting back to “normal “. I can get a big walk in today and also get many other neglected things done and just stop by the hospital for a visit. My MIL is 15 years younger than my FIL (1st wife 😊) and she takes great care of him. My FIL is on the mend and it will just take time. It’s only Tuesday!!!12 -

08/25 - 219.8 Sunday - Not too bad. Friends came over for a BBQ and drinks Saturday night but I was active cleaning and weeding in the morning, and saved extra calories for the evening. Had approx. maintenance level of calories but more carbs than I should have. Vodka Sodas and Splenda Mojitos.
08/26 - 221.8 Monday - Back where I was on Friday morning. I attended a catered dinner event Sunday night so I'm pretty sure this is just some water weight from hidden salt/carbs and most will be gone by tomorrow. I tracked and I should have had a small calorie deficit for the day. No alcohol.
08/27 - 220.0 Tuesday - Back on track! Low-carb eating yesterday helped that weekend water weight disappear.

8/21 - 157.5 - the catch up from the carb-o-licious Monday. Made it to the pool and could actually get in finally! I’m 6 weeks post-op and my restrictions are lifted. T-minus 2 weeks until I return to work!
8/22 - 156.5 - the turn around in eating makes all the difference. And sticking to it. I was “lazy” yesterday. Swam, ran errands, watched Supernatural on Netflix, did very little cleaning, but I made sure to watch my food and drink my water. I’m hooked on “pork rind chips” for a crunchy snack lately. I can season them with whatever sounds good at the time and crunch away. Today is gym day and some serious cleaning.

08/21-210.9 - I had a super stressful morning and that is when I'd usually get McDonald's but I didn't!! I also passed on free A&W for lunch at work tomorrow. YESSS! Starting off strong!
08/22 - 209.1 - Last night was rough but I made it with a calorie deficit! I'm feeling really motivated.
08/23 -210.3 - Oh HELL NAW!! Lol well, I did have subway yesterday and went over on my sodium. Not a good way to start my Friday but I still made my salad for lunch. I've been weighing my food lately so I know it's not a true gain.
08/24 - 208.6 - Woohoooo! Buuut I must confess! I had a really crappy morning and ended up binge eating some chocolate chips. I'm trying really hard to separate my emotions from eating. I'm going to do what I can to salvage today but I have a feeling that the almost 1000 calories I consumed in chocolate and milk will reflect in tomorrow's weight. Oh well! It's a step forward regardless. At least I'm logging it and owning up to it instead of pretending it didnt happen!

08/21 - 206!! Yay! Starting this round out with a drop. Didn't sleep very much and have a bad migraine today, will probably not exercise but I'll at least take the dog for a walk. Sticking to my macro/calorie goals with my meal plan and hoping to feel better tomorrow
08/22 - 206.3! No clue what made it go up a bit but I'm starting to learn my weight fluctuates all the time so I'm trying to focus on the trend which is definitely going down. My TOM is probably not helping anything here either. Stuck to calories/macros, didn't exercise very much just walking
08/23 - 204.4!! Holy cow, what a drop! Doubt I'll stay this low through the rest of the week but it makes me feel good to see a 4 on the scale 🤩 Did a really intense workout today and am sticking to cals/macros so hopefully I continue to make progress
08/24 - 204.4 again! Wahoo! I was sure yesterday's weigh-in was a fluke but I didn't fluctuate at all overnight. I'm sure I'll fluctuate again later but at least this means that 4 wasnt a total fluke. Will try to kayak later today and sticking well to my food goals today. My FH is having a boys weekend at our house this weekend and their wives cancelled our girls weekend at the last minute so I'm going to try to keep myself busy with hikes and kayaks and chores so I'm not awkwardly in the way of their boy-time. Hopefully that means extra exercise and less food temptations than I'd planned for this weekend
08/25 - 203.6! Wow, can't believe it! Another drop 🤩 so happy. Had a really frustrating day yesterday, major car troubles, then waiting at mechanic for it to be fixed, then leaving realizing it wasnt fixed, going back, waiting again, leaving again, realizing again, going back again... Didn't get much exercise then but I also didnt have time to eat much so I guess that's why there's a drop. Hopefully will have time to kayak or do something fun today. On track to stick to calorie goals for the day so far.
08/26 - 204.4 and back up again! The ways of the fluctuating weight, I guess, but still on a downward trend so I'm happy. Ended up having even more car troubles and getting a flat tire, so spent most of the day fixing that Trying to get some work done today and focusing on sticking to my calorie goals and finding some time to exercise today.
08/27 - 204.8 up again! No clue why, hopefully just weight fluctuations. My weight loss progress chart is just a series of zig zags at this point 😋 going to the gym today to get a lot of cardio in and sticking to my calories so I can hopefully get that zig to zag its way back down

08/21 185.8 whaaa? I can't believe I'm back where I started from the beginning of last round! Dumb! but the upside is that my scale does "body fat percentage" and it was 2% lower than yesterday. Maybe all those empty fat cells are hanging on to some water and it's all gonna whoosh away! fingers crossed! Did incline ladders on the the treadmill and it went by so fast, I highly recommend it!

8/21: 225.6 (-0.6)/19.1 (-0.1). There was a lunch celebration/going away party at work yesterday. I was very mindful about what I ate, and particularly how much. I also skipped dessert completely. Dinner was not the healthiest thing I've ever had, but I chose carefully in order to stay within calories. Today was a victory in that this was a situation in the past in which I may have very easily been derailed. I'm going to try again tonight to hit the gym. I need to check in with my wife before she leaves work to confirm that she is going to make it home on time; otherwise I'll go by myself.
8/22: 225.8 (+0.2)/19.1 (0.0). Food quantity has been pretty good, but I could do better on food quality. And exercise has GOT to make its way back into my life at some point as well. I think basketball is not coming back for another two weeks (first day will likely be 9/7/2019).
8/23: 227.0 (+1.2)/19.3 (+0.2). Okay, yesterday was pretty bad. There was an all-day meeting at the office, celebratory drinks after said meeting, and my mother's 79th birthday yesterday (Mexican dinner out, cake after). I did my best to make healthy choices, but I'm pretty sure I was significantly over in calories. I'm going to make today a good day, and I'm going to focus on having a HEALTHY CHOICE weekend (planning what I'm going to eat in advance, ESPECIALLY if/when I'm going to be eating out). It's looking more and more like I will not be seeing the basketball court tomorrow. I'm going to commit to hitting the gym at least once this weekend (today, Saturday, or Sunday).

I'm adjusting my goal, and I'll be ecstatic if I'm able to get back to my starting weight for the round (though any progress in the downward direction would be nice at this point).
8/27: 228.6 (-0.4)/19.4 (-0.1). At this point I'm just focusing on posting here every day to be accountable. Most days (other than the weekend) I'm doing relatively well with food, but exercise has been difficult to come by. It kind of feels like I'm half-@$$ing it, but if I'm being kind to myself I would recognize that I have a lot going on right now, and my motivation is obviously affected. I'll choose "being kind to myself" for now.

Yesterday’s stats: 1124 Calories In / 2891 Calories Out. 27 Net Carbs. 17,185 Total Steps & 7.27 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours & 20 minutes which was disappointing. I took my moderately paced evening walk for 54 minutes, did 40 minutes of light cabin cleaning, 25 minutes of yard work / painting and I did 16 minutes of low-impact aerobics. Total extra calorie burn was 633. Sundays are always busy for me so I should have no problem getting my steps in. Exercise will be another story but I’ll fit in what I can. Travel tomorrow so I’m gearing up to be mindful.

Today’s goal: NO bingeing or thinking its okay to gorge when I get home, just because I’ve splurged a little while restaurant dining for lunch! Yesterdays stats were very good & reflected on the scale: 1206 Calories In / 2756 Calories Out. 25 Net Carbs. 15,162 Total Steps & 6.42 Total Miles. 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours (a more relaxing day concerning exercise) & I slept 6 hours & 31 Glorious minutes but was up a lot peeing out that weight drop. I walked moderate pace for 45 minutes & I did 118 minutes of rigorous tourist cabin cleaning. Total extra burn was 808. Lots of sitting today while traveling expected so getting my steps in may be difficult. If I’m up to it, I may dance later.
08/27 …..197.8 ….. After travel weigh=in. A cheat lunch that was not too bad during travel turned into an entire cheat day including dinner later & horrid snacks all night. As always, its honest: 3040 Calories In including about ½ gallon of milk / 2474 Calories Out. 320 Total Carbs. 12,108 Total Steps which were hard to achieve with so much sitting during travel. 5.12 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit step hours. I slept 4 hours & 57 minutes. I walked a moderate pace for 53 minutes when I returned home (before binge) and I did light housekeeping for 96 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 686. Much of this is likely water, I mean....nearly 5 pounds overnight???? But I was a bad girl for sure so.....I’ll flush today & try to get in lots of activity & hope this dissolves quickly. Feeling disgusted today. Way overboard!

I'm back and hoping to get rid of the almost 10 pounds I "gained" in the last round. I know it isn't a real gain, but it's still very annoying. I was dealing with hormones and the a death in the family last round, so it just wasn't a great round for me. I have been doing this long enough to know that freaking out isn't going to do anything and I just need to get back on the horse and take care of business. I just found out we will be leaving on the last day of this round and going to Texas for my father-in-laws funeral services. So I have 10 days to get back down, so that I can take a 4 day weekend and hopefully do better than last weekend.

08/21 - 145.1 and just like that, there goes 3 pounds of sodium/stress weight overnight. Crazy what a little bit of water and eating at home does for you. Today is all set and I should be down more tomorrow. Things are finally calming down at home and after a long drive by the lake last night to clear our heads, my husband and I slept like babies. Amazing how you feel so different after a great nights sleep.
08/22 - 144.1 was within calories and probably would have been lower, but I chose to use soy sauce on my rice last night for dinner. So my sodium was way higher for the day than it should have been. As long as I can get back down to 142/141 something by the end of this round and stay there for a couple of days I will be happy.
08/23 - 142.1 And I am back here. I think this is a realistic weight for me right now. I have been at 142.xxx for 10 out of 23 days this month. I have been lower and higher, but it always comes back to here. Hopefully I can consistently see 141 before leaving next Friday, but you never know what's going to happen. Was very low cal all day yesterday and should be today as well.
08/24 - 142.1 Was on point again yesterday. Cleaning, laundry, errands, and grocery shopping is on the to do list today. So hopefully I don’t fall off the wagon this weekend.
08/25 - 143.1 up a bit and no real reason that I should be. Had a couple of beers watching the Cowboys game last night so maybe it’s because of that. Going to lunch with family and having a fantasy football draft party tonight. So I’m expected to be up tomorrow a bit, but hopefully not to bad.
08/26 - 146.9 My normal Monday blip up. Had breakfast out yesterday morning and took a rest day. I am really sore for some reason today, maybe from all the activity I did on Saturday and I had a pretty restless nights sleep last night. Was hoping to be lower, but with everything going on right now, I am just happy that I am able to maintain at this point. I ate a few 100 calories over yesterday, but this is all sodium and water retention from not eating my normal foods. I should be back down by Tuesday and hopefully finish the month at 141. If I can do that it will at least give me a 2lb loss for the month.
08/27 - 144.1 It's amazing how much restaurant food and a Bloody Mary affect me. I was totally within calories, but the sodium that they must cook with kills me every time. We always go out and eat on Sunday's with a lot of our family just to catch up and stuff and I gain at least 3-4 pounds every time. I go home and drink tons of water afterwards, but it always shows on the scale the next morning. I'm so used to it by now that it doesn't even bother me. By tomorrow I will be back down to my normal 142.xxx and maybe see that elusive 141.xx before we leave on Friday for my FIL funeral in Texas.

08/21 128.0 Eating more than usual over the past couple of days, though still never above my MFP calorie limit, and it's interesting to see this result. In the 30 days marked by Rounds 80-83, I was totally plateaued at 134. Then during the 30 days marked by Rounds 84-86, I've had an average 1-lb loss. I honestly can't explain it, other than the old aphorism "weight loss isn't linear."
08/22 127.6 I've been reviewing my logs because every little bite goes into MFP, and all I can see is that I'm consistently eating slightly above 1200 calories a day (I'm not paying attention to anything else), and I guess my body was ready for a whoosh? No exercise (true for my entire journey, beginning in March at 158 lbs).
At about 5 lbs away from my ultimate goal weight, I should be thrilled that my hard work has WORKED...but I'm feeling a bit down. I don't feel like my lower weight reflects how I actually look: my arms are still SUPER flabalicious, I have lots of squishiness in my stomach when I sit down, and I don't feel suddenly liberated to wear new clothes. My silhouette is still unflattering in a dress or any kind of form-fitting outfit. Blah.

08/25 129 Saturday was a rare day of fairly unrestricted gluttony: a fast food meal, a big dinner, my usual ice cream bar, and a candy bar, yikes. No big insights. I can't really explain why I didn't bother to restrain myself more, except I'm losing quickly and told myself I have some wiggle room because I want to get to my final goal weight more slowly, believe it or not! I'm worried I'll "arrive" and be disappointed (see my post on the 22nd). Today's a clean slate, however. Back to what works.
08/26 129.9 What's that word...oh, right, it's two words: self sabotage. I slipped this weekend. I was hungrier than usual and chose not to satisfy my hunger with my go-to foods for real hunger: steamed broccoli with a measured amount of butter or some kind of protein. I make my broccoli a convenience food by having a lot of the microwave steamer bags in the freezer, and protein is always easy to find. But I went for Wetzels Pretzels and Panda Express- foods I *can* (and have) fit into my plan, but not so much on the same day, without portion control. The hunger was real, though, and I'm going to learn from it. I don't have as much to lose now- time to allow myself more HEALTHY calories every day!

08/25 - 206.4 - motived to make some changes. Back to MFP, started the day with a nice long 5.8 km walk to get Starbucks with the kids and dog.
08/26 - 204.8 - it’s nice to see how quickly I can bounce back with just a few changes but it’s also a reminder of just what a toll on my body the wrong choices make. Yesterday I was on focus until the end of the day. This morning started the day with a 2.6km walk with the dog. Healthy lunch packed for work - I got this!
08/27 - 204.8 - have to admit I was a little disappointed not to see the scale budge but I also know it’s not going to do that everyday. Yesterday I stayed focused with eating and took the dog for another 1.7km walk. It was pouring this morning so I skipped the morning walk. Female - 66, height 5’ Things getting back to a more even keel although still doing a lot of slow eating while my mouth adjusts. Goals this round – one good snack in the evening before 9:30 and nothing else. Ab exercise each day. Try to fit in a short walk a few times a week and doing stairs 5 times a day. (I broke first my left, then my right ankles a few years ago and am back to normal except going down stairs where I tend to hang onto the railing). Log on MFP for the whole day – I tend to get about ½ way through and then conveniently “forget” for the rest of the day and think “it was pretty good anyways.”

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

08/25 152.4 - 14,034 Had a feeling when I woke up that it would be a big drop today. Went to the scale excited and then get this! Back up! I’m just devastated today. I’m tired of the fluctuations. I’ve been at this almost a year but the last few months are not following the rules and I’m growing so tired. I work so hard! I can see and feel progress today but that damn scale is about to be trashed.

I took the last round off as I dealt with some mental/emotional issues I was dealing with and even though I didn't post I did weigh every day. Now my head is back in the game and I am back for the next round.

8/21:211.2 There are 3 snacks that I love to eat and that I can eat without problems from my food sensitivities. Usually I eat 2 or 3 of these snacks every evening even if I'm not hungry. So yesterday I told my husband that I would only allow myself one snack each evening and that he could call me out if I ate more than one. So, last night I had one snack and it was interesting as I really became more aware of whether I was truly hungry or not or whether it was just boredom that has me snacking in the evening. This morning I also didn't feel as bloated. Run tonight.
8/22:211.8 Was raining yesterday so no run. Going to go out today.
8/23:211.8 Went out for a run yesterday, started back with C25K after my hip injury, but started at week 4 and yesterday I finished W5D1. Also went to the gym this morning and did my weightlifting. BBQ at friend's house tonight. My husband made a GF lemon cake with buttercream frosting that we are bringing over, it's his first time trying the recipe and it looks really good...I hope it tastes good too.

8/25:212.3 Didn't post yesterday. I hardly had any water and ate salty food yesterday. Hubby is visiting his relatives today, so I am trying to figure out what I want to do today. I have been feeling a need to do some decluttering and organizing lately, but I don't know if I should do the kitchen or bedroom/closet. Trainer today.
8/26:212.5 Up and down and up and down. This is definitely due to me not being tight in my eating. I've just gotta get my head back in the game.
8/27:212.0 Was tempted to have a second treat yesterday, but I resisted instead went out for a long walk with my dog and husband. Tonight I saw my trainer. Wanted another treat today but then said to myself that I wasn't hungry. I had tea tonight for the first time in a long time...I am reducing my milk intake and instead had it with oat milk, it tasted really good.
