Three for three AF so far! It gets easier the more days away from my last drink. Plus I feel so much better in the morning.
@dawnbgethealthy I love love love that Perrier in a cool martini glass! I think a fancy glass makes AF drinks so much more special. I too did not have many AF drinks as I planned in October, want to get back on track for this month

Nov 2 - 2 drinks - very disappointed that I used the excuse of stress caused by working too much to break the promise I made to myself. I really wanted to continue Sober October into November.

Oh gurl, don't beat yourself up, I think that you did better than...all of us for October!!! It is okay. Kudos to your October, very inspiring. Just a blip, you've got this!!

Yes, I chilled the glass in the freezer, and gulped gulped gulped that Perrier really wishing for a cocktail instead. Lol, had that really been Martinis and I drank 500ml (16oz?) I would have puked my guts out.
I definitely have to keep doing that sort of stuff to cut back on the drinking that basically turned me back to "drinks every day" girl. Time to moderate for sure!1 -
My goal is 16-20 AF days for the month.
I didn't get there in October, ended up with 10 or 11AF days. Daily drinking is so very easy to slip back into!
November 01 - AF - Really felt like having drinks, but didn't.
November 02 - AF - Worked my *kitten* off in the yard and again really wanted drinks afterward. But didn't.
November 03 - 3 drinks hours ago at a friend's place. Not planned. My plan is for drinks on Tuesdays and either Saturday OR Sunday, although I have two theatre outings (involving wine) on Thursdays this month, but will try to keep it to 2-3 days per week.
OMG, just discovered what "kitten" is!! I have asked people what that meant and didn't get a reply. I see that what I wrote in my last post got rewritten as "kitten". Hahaha : - ) So MFP is somehow listening. Then how about a "woo-hoo!!!" button???? *kitten*

I have been using a stemmed glass for a while to satisfy my cocktail urge, and also to keep others from asking why I am not drinking when I am out. The symbol of the glass wins over what is inside of it..

Over on the SoberSquad a few months ago one of the posters was trying to post about Dick Vandyke and his journey to get sober and it kept throwing the "kitten' into his name,I was laughing so hard 😆 have a great day all!6

After doing 31 days AF in October, husband and I drank on Friday. Saturday, and Sunday this weekend. We didn't get drunk, but I had 3 drinks each day and am feeling pretty slow today. Didn't help that I also ate pizza, way too much sushi, and couldn't stop snacking this weekend. I still made it to the gym, but even with the exercise calories I went over my goals each day
Interesting but not surprising that when I let alcohol back in, I also couldn't control my snacking. Gotta try much harder this month to maintain a healthy balance of A/AF days and keep my diet in check.8 -
Goal this month is no more than three days of 1-2 drinks per week. Since rejoining this ongoing challenge in September, I have curbed my consumption considerably! I know there will be a day here and there where I will want to sit down and sip a glass of wine, and I am much more comfortable with the ability to do just that...sip A glass of wine. Here's to the stressful, chaotic, fun holidays!6

Goal this month is only 1-2 drinking days a week. That may sound like alot, but i drink almost daily and one little step at a time right. I know if i say no drinking at all, I'll fail. I always do. So this is a good place to start.10

Home from the work trip. Exhausted now but I was noticing how much more alert I was this morning after not drinking last night. I usually drink on work trips - makes it easier for me to fall asleep in the hotel but I can definitely feel it the next morning!

Oh that sucks. A cold in Vegas. Last time I was there it was 93 in the shade lol. Have to get back for a trip, but I know it would not be a totaly dry AF trip. 😉3 -

November 04 - AF
November 05 - 3 drinks. Actually, I haven't had any at all yet, but unbelievably just finished work - I was up at 4am and it was a very long grueling day. Definitely going to have some food and some cocktails. I will be happy to stick to my plan of drinks on Tuesdays and one or two other days of the week. October turned into almost drinks every day again. I feel like I am back on track to moderate, definitely glad to allow myself Tuesdays, they are a bit *kitten* ridiculous. Wrote that just to test the kitten thing lol.

Yesterday turned out to be the weather from HELLo. I am a big weather follower for my work days.
Monday night I checked and it was not going to start raining until almost dusk on Tuesday. GREAT, then I can get tons of outside work accomplished.. Nope......as soon as I get in the car it begins to pour. Fine, I can try plan B. Start off in another direction only to get even more frustrated. Look outside, it has stopped raining. GREAT! Start to get ready to work outside and the sky opens up again. WTH?
UGH. So yup frustrated....wet......annoyed......I had a hot cider in my favorite big ole mug with a shot of rum in it last night.
Not sorry, because me from years ago would have drank the entire 1/2 gallon of cider with a shot of rum in each drink until there were no more.
Proud I have the good sense to choose to have less.7
