11/20 185.6 This isn't a surprise! I was feeling super bloated and barely peeing all day yesterday. All I know is that it's not real and I want it gone tomorrow so I can have my new Fitbit! ;D I'm also not too far away from my highest pre-pregnancy weight of 182. It felt like an eternity away when I was 212lbs!! Ah crap! Just realized I'm away on business for the last day of the challenge so won't be able to weigh in.

11/19 122.5 Gym day today. My Art Quilt group has it annual holiday potluck tomorrow and I have no idea what to take. Last year there were too many desserts and no LCHF entrees.
⭐️On this date last year, weighed 131.0, I watched what I ate and how much during multiple potlucks, 3 holidays (Thanksgiving and 2 Christmases with family) and other random celebrations. I did hit 133.0 a couple of times but was at 133.5 on/ New Year’s morning. I had determined that I did not want to go back where I had been and was mindful. You can do it!
11/20 123.5 Heavy workout day at the gym yesterday. I know I’m getting stronger, I just wish I felt I was. I made Keto white chicken chili for today’s potluck.

11/19 162.1 WTH? I stayed within calories but too much sodium and too many carbs. Usually, I'm not big on carbs but lightened up stroganoff still has a lot of noodles. I finally made it to the gym to lift weights, which is probably part of the retained water issue and all of the sore muscle issue. I have been so happy to walk again after the pulled hamstring in August that I've really neglected weight lifting. I'm sure this uptick will be gone in a day or two so I'm not sweating it. Headed back to StL today. It's a lovely sunny fall day so I will definitely go for a walk somewhere between KC and STL, either along the river or a park closer to KC. The stupid tilt of the earth making it harder to walk before dark
11/20 No Scale Great walk last night. Ended up going 4.75 miles. My app was paused for a long time and I didn't notice because the views were so beautiful and the book I was listening to was sooo good. OOPS! Ended up finishing in the dark. I wasn't happy with myself, my BF called me just as I was finishing and he was mad at me (I don't blame him, it was dumb). I'm on a very rural trail by myself - which he hates already but then on top of that now it's dark. Probably not the safest thing. I am going to change my schedule so I leave KC earlier in the day and can finish walking before dark. All that being said, I had a great calorie day, even stayed low on sodium. A couple of pics to justify my lateness.
11/21 No Scale A good 4-mile walk last night. The scenery was not nearly as beautiful but it was still nice. I was done well before dark. It's a state park and I will go back. Lots of BIG hills. Another decent food day and TOM is almost over so I hope to see a good number on the scale tomorrow. Not looking forward to the boring drive home in the rain

I think I was so de-stressed that it jump started my TOM which was delaying a few days. Still nervous about Friday, but thank you all for being really supportive and telling me about your experiences
11/21- 206:I had a kind of crappy dinner so not shocked about the small gain. Nervous about tomorrow and also kind of annoyed that I won't have my apt until 11am. I can't eat anything before and prob not after, so that's going to suck, but like another user on here said think of it like a diet lol and gives my fat but a break from giving in and eating junk.
Also mad at myself that I was doing so good with the gym then all this pain started and I just stopped. 11/19 …..185.8 ….. A very good day yesterday. I was hoping for another drop on the scale but it maintained. Got to this weight on a whoosh so I guess I have to let it get comfortable before it moves down again. Yesterday’s stats: 1004 Calories In / 2780 Calories Out. 40 Net Carbs. 21,201 Total Steps & 8.97 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 12 minutes. I walked at 3.25 mph for 97 minutes doing school-hall walking and I walked for 32 minutes at 3.0 mph with a planned walk around my property. Total extra calorie burn 750. I prep cooked yesterday a bit. I have invited my cousin & his son over for a Mexican dinner tonight. I will be mindful. Good luck everyone on this round. The progress I am seeing from all of you is phenomenal!
11/20 …..184.6 ….. I am thrilled with the scale reading but feeling a bit guilty about it and feeling, also, that I don’t deserve to be rewarded for bad behavior. Made a nice Mexican dinner for my visiting family (hunting season) and ate handfuls of those chocolate tipped candy corn I had on the table for them while I was cooking. I ended up with a teeny tiny dinner to make up for it. Thankfully, all the protein in chicken quesadillas and ground beef & bean tostadas have lots of protein so at least I wasn’t hungry when I went to sleep! I won’t do that again anytime soon, though. It skewed my general low carb plan but the calories were okay. Yesterday’s stats: 1153 Calories In / 2829 Calories Out. 133 Carbs (ouch!). 19,172 Total Steps & 8.11 Total Miles. 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours (due to dinner guests) and I slept 4 hours & 25 minutes waking up refreshed. I walked at 3.5 mph for 101 minutes at the school, and I walked 32 minutes at 3.0 at home for a total of 809 extra burned calories. Better choices today is what is on the menu! I’m thankful to God for shining down on my scale.
11/21 …..186.8 ….. A little too much indulgence with visiting family but activity was very good. Yesterday’s stats: 1826 In / 3172 Calories Out. 210 Carbs. 25,480 Total Steps & 10.82 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 2 hours & 3 minutes due to tummy aches from food overload. Lesson Learned. They are still visiting until Sunday, but I won’t do that again on that level! I fit in a lot of exercise during their two hunting sessions. I walked for 97 minutes burning 523, I walked for 59 minutes burning 324, I walked for 40 minutes burning 177 and I danced for 19 minutes burning 118. Sample song- “Centerfold” by J. Geils”. Total extra calorie burn 1142.

@tinabambina29 , Glad to see that you are having your wisdom teeth removed! I've noticed others posting about their children or their own experiences, but haven't noticed any foods mentioned to eat during recovery. Soft foods of course and most aren't weightloss friendly, which are the ones the dental office recommends, smh. Good choices, oatmeal, jello, soups, yogurt. My youngest son had all 4 wisdom teeth removed, 2 impacted. It took 20 minutes! He was a teenager, ice cream, mashed potatoes and mac n' cheese were his recovery foods. He was only in pain that day and I had to make him take the meds. He was ready to return to school the next day.9 -

My daily average so far this year is down – all due to outside influences, weather, my elderly father and his maiden aunt both had several weeks in hospital and due to their dementia need a relative with them almost all their waking hours, oh and did I mention the weather? So much rain this year for days at a time . I should not complain, I really feel for those people that are flooded out in their homes, such a dreadful situation. 11/21: 217.2 (+1.2)/18.2 (+0.1). It was too cold last night for me to go to the gym on my motorcycle. And my wife brought home food from one of my favorite places. I ate half, and took the other half for lunch today, but it seems obvious that it has affected my weigh-in. Stress at work has got in the way of my going to the gym as much as I would like, and that (I think) has limited my progress in the last week. I'm not beating myself up, though. At this moment, as I think about my circumstances, I am pretty happy to be "where I'm at." My stress will pass, and I will get back into my routine. Even as I have been slacking, I have still never gone less than once per week to the gym. I'm just talking out loud.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

11/19 130.4, today’s my birthday and I have a lot of events this week (Some celebratory and some business related) so hoping can continue to build on the momentum of last week, but set a cautious goal for the week.
11/20 129.9, thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! I didn’t indulge too much yesterday but going to a Mexican restaurant tonight so will have some chips, guacamole and a margarita to celebrate!
11/21 130.0, back to the gym today but going to start slow since it’s been a few days without going and do 30 minutes. Going to an opera tonight so cheese platter and a glass of champagne for dinner
