My kids had these old school wooden alphabet blocks, and the little clacking sound they made was so pleasant.

I love the sound of rain, but especially when I get inside the car and shut the door and hear it on the windows and roof. I just feel so cozy.

The sound of a bag of chips being opened seems to put a roomful of people in a grand mood.

Ocean waves do it for me.

Definitely gently babbling brook, but for me wind will be whistling along the eaves of an old house instead :)

My favorite is mourning doves quietly calling in the twilight.

My weirdest one is when someone at work is using the paper slicer in a fairly slow, methodic way.

    I like cicadas too
Repetitive, intermittent sounds like the fridge or furnace going on and off, the dryer
Sound of a siren coming and going - Doppler effect
    Aquariums filtering water

Sound I hate and can't handle at all is the sound of a ticking clock

Other than a few years that we lived abroad, I have lived in OK my whole life.
Every Saturday at 12:00 noon the Emergency Sirens go off, that’s when they test them.
Normally hearing the sirens is a scary thing but somehow years of hearing it every Saturday at the same time has made hearing the sirens on Saturday a comforting thing.
Make’s me feel like everything’s okay and under control.

The sirens didn’t go off yesterday,
    it was disconserting.

Right now, the silence is utter music to my ears here in the Pocono Mtns... not something I'm used to... love it. What a lovely, quiet Sunday evening.

Certain birds, ocean waves, cheeks clapping, babbling brooks, the Aurora Borealis or Aurora Australis?

Aside from the obvious being my kids having fun or showing off their skills I would say a marsh near a forest waking up at dawn, a flat-6 accelerating out of a corner or a jet engine.

    How about you?
