We didn't have a many this year. Lots of backyard neighborhood baseball games and stuff like that we would hear them....
Do you get the periodic ones? People were having accidents several years back as they covered the roads.
We don't always have them, so I'd say yes. Another reason I appreciate the sound even more.....
I suppose I did miss them when they stopped, but it was incredible that is was hard to hear the airline traffic over them.
Holy cow. You did have a lot of them. I can certainly understand your slight disdain for them. 😳😁0 -
Dakota talking to me. She can carry on quite a conversation.

Waterfalls and rain. I love thunderstorms too, when they’re at night. Tides from the beach...just most things water and nature I guess!4

Ocean waves on the beach.
Slow, light rain with faraway thunder.
Gently flowing water.
Crackling of a real wood fire in the fireplace.
The owl that sits on my tree and talks to it’s pal down the creek.
The sound of a pro dragster doing a burnout.
The sound of the military jets that fly over.
The sound of my heart beating.
^ this would be #1

Walking on dead leafs3 -
A pack of feral hogs squealing past me on an dewy morning Appalachian hike/LSD comedown. The sound takes me right back to being awakened in the wee hours of the night as a young boy by my old man in the bathroom after one of his Taco Cabana binges.4

I used to work really long hours in a big company so i was often the only one there when the cleaning crew arrived. It took them a good 20 minutes to vacuum the whole floor and i would get the best chills. I could hardly work while they were there, it just put me in a trance 😆
I think a lot of my asmr triggers are annoying to other people though. Like another one that i could listen to all day is the 1:00 siren on the first Wednesday of the month. I used to take my lunch early those days just so i could be sure to be at my desk when the siren started. For about three minutes i felt sooo zen 😁3 -

Dee Dee Ramone yelling the countdown at the beginning of every song.
The Rice Krispie sound I hear when a chiropractor adjusts my far-too-tight neck... I pretend it's making me taller & thinner. Oh, & younger.
That *clump, thomp, clump, thomp* noise you hear when someone's walking in cheap or stiff shoes, always gives me a chuckle.
The sound of garlic or onions frying on med-high, cuz it means I'm home cooking.
The rhythmic sound of old "things"... a butter churn, looms, the cotton gin... okay, maybe I haven't heard the last.
Creaks when someone's walking up old wooden stairs... I don't know why.4 -
