I love the sound my car engine makes when the turbo kicks in.

Next doors dog doing an awoo at the squirrels.

    OOh, turbos.

Is it a summer thing or are you a bit of a sadist?

I can dig that. They were deafening here this summer. I couldn't hear much else when I was outside.

We didn't have a many this year. Lots of backyard neighborhood baseball games and stuff like that we would hear them....

Do you get the periodic ones? People were having accidents several years back as they covered the roads.

We don't always have them, so I'd say yes. Another reason I appreciate the sound even more.....

I suppose I did miss them when they stopped, but it was incredible that is was hard to hear the airline traffic over them.

Holy cow. You did have a lot of them. I can certainly understand your slight disdain for them. 😳😁

Waterfalls and rain. I love thunderstorms too, when they’re at night. Tides from the beach...just most things water and nature I guess!

    Ocean waves on the beach.
Slow, light rain with faraway thunder.
    Gently flowing water.
Crackling of a real wood fire in the fireplace.
The owl that sits on my tree and talks to it’s pal down the creek.
The sound of a pro dragster doing a burnout.
The sound of the military jets that fly over.
The sound of my heart beating.
    ^ this would be #1
    To name a few.

A pack of feral hogs squealing past me on an dewy morning Appalachian hike/LSD comedown. The sound takes me right back to being awakened in the wee hours of the night as a young boy by my old man in the bathroom after one of his Taco Cabana binges.
