Being "under" or "over" daily calories

My calorie goal intake is set at 1,200 and there are times where my calorie count leaves me with a few (even up to 3 digits) leftover by the end of the day. I know it's not recommended to eat under 1,200 so should I try to get to 1,200 (at least)?? Also, sometimes I over calculate to meet the 1,200 goal preferring to be over the actual amount of calories of an item than under
P.s. this is without logging in exercise
P.s. this is without logging in exercise

As far as I can see you’ve answered your own questions so I’m not sure what else you want to hear?
If MFP has allotted 1200 calories a day to meet your selected goal then that is what you should aim to eat.
MFP is designed for you to log any purposeful exercise and eat back the calories burned during that exercise.6
