Weigh in day I am down 2 for the week. I am struggling between low carb which I struggle to stay on or just counting calories. I think going to do 1400 calories that way don’t feel deprived. If I want a cookie and have the calories no quilt. I do know I lose slower in calorie but slow and steady wins the race. Good luck everyone. Barb

Most important thing, is to find a way to eat that you know you can sustain for the long haul. Me, I went to low carb being a Type 2 Diabetic was my reason. I admit I have a big sweet tooth, so I learned to bake with alternate flours and alternate sugars. It has saved me from falling off the wagon. But I totally 100% agree with your statement it is spot on!5 -

Total loss for December: It's my fault my scale is up today. It's down from last week, but up from the last couple days. My ten-day average is up too, and that's more problematic. But I am still close to goal, and I'll get back there. By the end of the year? I am not sure. That's my goal, but... December ya know.

The upcoming week will have lots of temptations as I am hosting a cookie exchange plus have a Holiday party. But I am determined to not get sidetracked, stay focused, track as best as possible, while still enjoy the festivities & food in moderation.

Yes! I'm in.
My weight is currently up a couple of pounds from where I have been sitting, so assuming/hoping I am going to get a bit of a whoosh in the next few days (very sore after some serious house renovation and garden work the last few days), so have set my goal off where I was sitting a week ago - otherwise 3kg in a month would be very ambitious for my typical rate of loss.

December Goal Weight: 64kg
Ultimate Goal Weight: 55kg
Dec 1: 67.0kg
Dec 9: 67.0kg - argh, I had dropped down (66.2kg on Friday morning), but bumped right back up again. It's been another weekend of hard work, and feeling sore all over again, plus convenience food all weekend and salty takeaways for dinner last night, so fingers crossed it goes away again soon. Gotta get this house ready for tenant to move in on 23rd, so it's a big push at the weekends (it's 2hr drive away, so weekends only). Weight loss kinda on the back burner, but hanging in here just to keep it from completely slipping off the radar.

Dec 9: 142.4 - really surprised at a loss this morning. I had a very busy week and then this weekend is always my busiest of the year. I sing and I had 5 events this weekend. I barely tracked my food and I ate so many treats! I even ended the night yesterday by going out to eat and having a couple beers with my group. I’m probably dehydrated and that’s why there’s a loss. I’m not sure. I need to be back on track this week and hopefully keep it off!6 -

Count me in!! Although I am a week behind, I actually started my own journey last week so I am still on track.
A little history: 48 years old and in menopause. 6 years of pre-menopause really screwed with my weight. Frustrated that I gained 25 pounds in 5 years and I can no longer use hormone imbalance as an excuse. Time to get my body back on track to a healthy, lean weight

Monday is my weigh day so here we go:
Start: 242
December 2nd: 230
December 9: 226
December 30 goal: 218
Long term goal: 140-150
Also decided I’ll just stick to whole numbers cause those decimals get me in the weeds and trying to stay big picture/long term. Happy w/~4 pounds down this week! For now I’m good!7 -
I am in. Not sure what days of Dec I will weigh in? Being a lower number by the 31st, New Year's will be great!
